The hotel is located just behind the famous Fairmount Le Chateau Frontenac. Our room had a nice view of the St Lawrence river. The hotel was nice and cozy, so was the room. The hotel and amenities is pretty vintage, has an old world charm to it. No breakfast since we travelled while some COVID restrictions were still in place. It’s a nice walk around the hotel and good restaurants are easy walk away. Not sure about parking since we didn’t drive, hotel did offer free wifi. Overall definitely stay at this hotel when I visit the city again!
Our rooms were a bit on the small side but hey it is only a place to sleep. For the pricepoint you cant get a better location to visit the city. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is immaculate. Our only recommendation is that it would be nice to have a fridge in the roon but guesrs are welcome to use the large fridges on the main floor.
This is a very charming place, small but well equipped. We choose to upgrade our room as we were staying for 4 days, glad we did. Room was a nice size, had 2 big comfy chairs, tv, desk, king sized bed, large dresser and a closet. Bathroom is small but had everything you need including multiple setting jets in the shower. Our view was across the park to the boardwalk. This hotel is perfectly situated, walking distance to everything and yet on a quiet one way street, virtually no traffic noise. They offer valet parking, it’s $25 a day but worth it as parking and driving in old port is tough, we parked the car and didn’t use it for 4 days as we could walk to everything we wanted to see. The breakfast was a continental style and served on a tray so you can take it to your room, during covid it’s a nice safe option and since the room was large it was a comfortable place to have breakfast. Breakfast was a surprise, hard boiled egg, fresh croissants, jam, yoghurt, grapes, cheese and a danish. The coffee centre offers 24 hour free coffee, cappuccino, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, teas and fresh juices. They also have a wine dispensary in the small lobby, it’s $6.95 a glass, restaurants close by were charging $12-13 for the same size servings. There is no fridge in the room but an ice bucket with free ice in the basement where there is a small vending machine with chips and snacks. The lobby had a tray of croissants and danishes available all day, no charge. We were very happy here…
Charming hotel in a row of old houses right behind the Chateau Frontenac. Our room had a view over the park and, through the trees, to the river. It was quiet, beautifully cool in the midst of a heatwave and very tastefully decorated. There was tons of storage space and, not always the case in hotels, lots of lights and electrical outlets. Service at the front desk was efficient and very friendly. A nice box breakfast was provided free of charge and wi-fi was free as well. Only issue was you needed a doctorate in plumbing or hydraulics to figure out how the shower worked. We had to get help. Also, our room being at the very end, hot water took quite a while to arrive, but when it did it was hot. Overall, a lovely hotel in a great location at a fraction of the price for the Chateau almost next door, where we did have a superb meal one evening – a five minute walk.…
Friendly staff, clean, and located in the middle of old Quebec City one minute walk from the famous Frontenac Hotel and the terrace by the river, walking distance to so many restaurants to enjoy by the evenings. Few minutes to the lower street by stairs or the funicular!
