Amazing. Free upgrade. Beautiful room, best service from all. Convenient and cheap self serve washer and dryer. Close proximity to all old Quebec shops and restaurants. Small gym but I made it work. Room was beautiful, heated bathroom floor. Plenty of coffee in room!

What a wonderful stay! The hotel front desk, housekeeping and personnel at Louise were so hospitable. The rooms were clean and cozy. Parking, although congested was accessible and well worth the cost. I totally recommend breakfast, dinner and some bar time be spent on site at Louise...this culinary experience was so much fun and very tasty! The location of the Port Royal is perfect...close to the river, you can easily access the stairs or Funicular to reach the citadel. Winter carnival is a special time of year to visit. Thank you so much for creating a remarkable stay.

My wife and I stayed at at the Port Royal for a week vacation this holiday season. We brought our small dog and wanted pet friendly accommodations. The stay at the hotel was perfect. We enjoyed the daily breakfast at the restaurant, the spaciousness of our room, and the helpful staff. The location is great for walking and exploring. Parking was convenient as we brought an EV and could plug in for the night. We should note though that as the hotel got busier close to Christmas, the lot would fill up so spaces are not guaranteed. We would definitely stay here again in a future stay.

We loved this hotel. Easy to get to and has parking (valet), which is hard to find in Old Quebec. Walking distance to everything and in two lovingly restored buildings. The rooms are gorgeous and well laid out with all of the amenities of home, so you can cook your own meals. The staff is fantastic, especially the parking valet.

I spent two nights at the Port Royal Hotel in the port area of old town Quebec City in December 2023. I had researched many hotels before deciding - I made a good choice! Staff were welcoming and lovely, the bed and pillows were very comfortable (I was glad I had packed my eye mask as the drapes let light in around the sides) - I slept very well! The exterior was pretty, with an outdoor fire and chairs and they had decorated the small lobby with a beautiful Christmas tree. The room was very clean. There’s a kitchen area but I only used the fridge. The surrounding area was very quiet and restaurants closed early - I understand it’s a lot busier in the summer. There’s a nice restaurant at the hotel and I went there for breakfast before my flight. Three restaurants are across from the hotel: vegan, Asian and a pizza restaurant…very convenient but more expensive than I had expected. I enjoyed exploring the area, it’s just a short walk to Petit Champlain and the Chateau Frontenac. I would definitely stay at the Port Royal again!!! Thank you!

My husband and I spent three evenings here on a long weekend visit to the Christmas Markets and to soak up both historical and holiday atmosphere. The Port Royal was comfortable, convenient and the staff were so friendly and accommodating we give it two thumbs up! The hotel is in the port area, but very convenient to the Old City. While visiting the Markets, I was grateful to be staying a bit away from the noise and commotion. It was an easy walk wherever we wanted to go. The hotel has all modern conveniences but retains its historic charm. This included our room, with old stone walls and a comfortable king bed. The room was a bit cramped; I'd get rid of the desk chair which was too big for the desk anyway. Breakfast was not included in our rate but we ate at the restaurant each morning anyway. Between us, we sampled the entire menu I think and each item was more delicious than the last. Finally, the staff were so polite and accommodating. Our inbound flight was early so that we arrived before noon, but our room was already ready! It was a great relief to rest and freshen up before starting our adventures. Also, our departure flight was canceled and we were rebooked later in the afternoon. Again, the kind staff allowed us a late check out. We were so appreciative of their flexibility. In short, we highly recommend a stay at this charming and convenient hotel.

Amazing find! We had our first trip to Québec. The property was amazing. Upgraded to Royal Suite, which is in a separate building across the square. Room while very European in style and flair was well mixed with modern comforts. I cannot say enough about the staff. ALL OF THEM!, but Laura and Elisabeth over the top. Most friendly kind accommodating staff we have been around. The hotel is close enough to walk all of old Quebec. Even in the sub zero weather the walks were amazing. Plenty of great restaurants in walking distance as well.

Nice Hotel. Clean and neat. Walkable distance to all places around the old city of Quebec. Great king bed and spacious room. Has a restaurant available. Downside, they do not have a concierge and the employees does not know points of view to visit.

Lovely warm, rustic, updated, and clean hotel. We enjoyed the proximity to sites, shopping, and great restaurants. The front desk staff were impeccably polite and helpful. The bed was very soft and the pillows pretty high - we're more firmer bed and thinner pillow people. But overall, great hotel.
