Honeyrose Hotel Montreal, a member of the Tribute Portfolio Hotels, garners praise for its luxurious amenities, including spacious high-tech suites and an impressive pool area, though occasional service lapses have been noted. Its cleanliness and stylish modern decor have impressed numerous guests, despite a report of delayed housekeeping and dimly lit corridors. The hotel's prime location is a hit among travelers for its accessibility to local attractions and public transport. While the service generally receives high marks for attentiveness, some guests mention inconsistent experiences. Opinions on value are divided, with some guests feeling the costs are justified, while others point out issues with overcharges.

We stayed at the Honeyrose for 5 nights in July. We were coming from the Four Seasons and were worried that after being spoiled for a few days we'd find the Honeyrose lacking. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the Honeyrose is distinctive on its own and were happy with our choice. The front desk staff who checked us in was welcoming and gave us some tips on where to explore. We booked a suite and it was really very spacious. Room was quiet with no road noise and didn't hear any neighbors. Our room was a bit close to the elevator, but we didn't hear any dings or noise. The bathroom is beautiful, shower has great water pressure, but no bath tub. The room comes with a large desk that we used as one work station, and there's a small bar area that we used as the second work station. The room only comes with one chair, but when I called down to ask for another chair they were able to find one within 24 hours. I saw many people working at the large desk in the lobby/lounge area, as well as in the cafe. Wi-fi was sufficient and didn't have any issues. Housekeeping provided daily water, which was appreciated. There's a nespresso in the room. The gym is fine - nothing to write home about and could use some more basic equipment, like clean yoga mats and towels. I prefer the location of the Honeyrose to the location of the Four Seasons because the beautiful park is only a 10 minute walk away and you can also walk to old montreal in 20-25 minutes. Overall, a great stay!

We stayed here for two nights as a group of 3 friends at the beginning of September 2024. This hotel is by far one of the best hotels I've stayed at this year, and I've stayed at my fair share of higher end hotels. For the price we paid, it felt like a five-star experience. The whole hotel was tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious. The shower and toilet are in separate enclosures which allowed for us to get ready individually. There was ample storage space. The hotel's location in downtown Montreal is excellent, just minutes from the metro stop. As one would expect from a modern hotel, there was a good quality Bluetooth speaker and plenty of USB wall outlets. Bathrobes were available on request. We made use of the swimming pool and spa, and it was nice to relax there. We also had brunch at the restaurant downstairs, and the food and service there was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come back to Montreal.

A beautiful new hotel in great downtown location. Staff at check in and out were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Although we didn’t have time to check out the on site restaurants they looked very inviting. The bathroom is a unique design but we thought it was great with the dual shower heads and lighted makeup mirror. We would go back in a heartbeat.

My wife and I chose to stay at this hotel for 8th anniversary expecting a nice and seamless stay. We were not helped with our bags when we arrived.

When we arrived the rooms were dusty and table and night tables not cleaned. I was coughing and sneezing all night due to the dust. There were stains on the walls.

The second day we were there our room was not cleaned and housekeeping arrived at 5:30pm which was very late… usually housekeeping is from 8:00am - 3:00pm. We asked the front desk at 12pm if we can have our room cleaned since they did not clean our room on our second day. When we got back to our room it was not cleaned.

We asked the front desk and housekeeping again and they did not clean our room however they left clean towels… and left the old towels on the floor and the room untouched. We went back to the front desk and our room and housekeeping did a sloppy job of fixing the bed and did not refill the shower gel nor provided us with hand soap or other toiletries. We had to wash our hands with shampoo. We then had to call the front desk to request these items. This was our third time requesting this.

For a hotel charging $350/night I would expect exceptional service and the rooms to be cleaned daily without us having to request it. I would not recommend to stay at this place. The room service is very slow when requesting food. At this point I would recommend staying somewhere else as the operations team isn't strong.

Lastly, we were overcharged at the snack bar and asked for an adjustment in our bill. The front desk claimed they would adjust the bill but we have seen a new bill yet!

In my opinion Honeyrose scores highly regarding the room itself; it felt a bit smaller than advertised because of the wasted space in the hallway but otherwise it was high quality construction. The design of the shower might be odd for some people with gradual partial frosting on the window combined with the positioning which is immediately besides the bed although one could pull a curtain but you still see the shower from the hallway. There were no suites available at check-in or any other room type besides standard for that matter, so I believe I did not receive any upgrade at all as Ambassador Elite guest, although they gave me a corner room on high floor so probably one of the better standard rooms. Quite nice with large windows on two corners.

Breakfast was ok but I have seen better. The hotel is a bit stingy by limiting what Platinum-Titanium-Ambassador can order (some dishes come with extra charge) and specialty hot drinks are at a premium as well.

All in all I think this is a good hotel but I would recommend it more to non-Bonvoy members and less so if moving up the loyalty program ladder, Ambassador Elites being less of a good fit for people who want to maximize value for the money because upgrades are less likely than many other hotels (heck many times we get upgrades even at some hotels which are full!), the breakfast benefit is less generous, and there was no other special recognition such as welcome note or amenity in the room. Think bare bones in terms of elite recognition but the room itself was very nice.

Completely new in the past year, the theme is exquisitely and tastefully light pink – – think rose gold and pink champagne. A bold move – – and even as a dude, I really think it works. We loved it. And the Suite 820 to which they upgraded us is probably the nicest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Living room with its own TV, separate TV for the bedroom. Full automation of lights from a removable bedside tablet, which also has all the hotel information on it down to the room service menu and surrounding attractions. The bathroom suite was positively fantastic: a luxuriously large shower stall (I’m 6’3”) with glass on both sides— One on the bathroom side, the other on the living room side, but hazed out in pink so it was translucent, not transparent— exquisite, with gold hardware. The combination overhead rainforest showerhead, and wall-mounted handheld. Smart variable lighting in the shower stall, and built into the multipanel mirror that could be angled to see your sides, above the sink. Separate full vanity. Extremely comfortable bed. Dinette with chairs… You really could entertain another couple or two in this suite. We canceled our plans to go out to breakfast and explore a little the last morning, in order to just stay in our suite with champagne and enjoy it.
Commodore restaurant and bar areas were gorgeous. The fifth floor Muze Lounge is stunning, with very nice menu, and an outdoor terrace! The pool and hot tub are on the 15th floor with long city views – – I wish I had spent two more days at this place to take in more of it. Offstreet driveway, so it was easy to initially park and check in and get parking instructions, which is really nice for a downtown hotel. Underground parking was easy & accessible, and easy to leave. This is a stunning upscale boldly designed city hotel with a ton of promise. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Beautiful new hotel in a good location. The staff were very attentive and polite and the hotel and room were immaculate. It had a great gym and pool with a nice view of downtown and beyond. I would have given it five stars if it wasn’t for the £8 they charged me for a bag of crisps (potato chips) and a tiny chocolate bar. Considering the room was almost £350 a night, not including breakfast, I thought that the least they could provide was a free snack.

Very new and very good hotel. The rooms are magnificent and spacious and the bedding is very comfortable. The bathroom is very beautiful with interesting amenities (large counter, magnifying mirror, umbrella shower, etc.). The hotel lobby is also wow!! The Commodore restaurant with room service offers very good dishes at reasonable prices. I only have two downsides, there is a lack of information in the room (for example you have to call reception to place an order at the restaurant) and some employees seem to lack training. I highly recommend this hotel, very well located with a metro station just a few steps away.

I was amazed at the exceptional service and interior design at this hotel. They were very polite and attentive and even helped me check out my stuff without charge when I was busy in a Church service on Sunday. My only complaint was with some falsely advertised "Peruvian" ceviche by a staff member, which was rectified by the managers promise to credit me with a meal on the house the following day. Finally, the suite quality is par excellence. The colors even matched my wardrobe which as crimson / maroon for a very special event in my life. The gym was also professional which was a plus for me. That said, I recommend the HoneyRose Hotel hands down to anyone looking for a quality stay with exceptional service at a reasonable price.

The Honeyrose would be the perfect hotel, except the beds were terribly uncomfortable. It was the only “sore” point. The rooms are copious and designed with style. The glass bathroom, a builder’s preference throughout the world in order to save a few bucks, had a privacy curtain. Thank God! Towels were thick and plentiful, and housekeeping was excellent. An anomaly, since housekeeping has given hostelries headaches in six continents. Staff was universally friendly and warm except on Saturday, when the front desk staff never looked up from their computers the several times we arrived and departed.

The restaurant and bar on the fifth floor is fun with decent enough food. The manager knows what he’s doing, making sure his staff remains on their toes. He was a great ambassador for the Honeyrose.

Dear Enofile1, Thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that the comfort of our beds did not meet your expectations. However, we are delighted to know that you enjoyed the design of the hotel. Regarding the glass bathroom, while it was chosen to add a touch of style to the room, we understand that it may not be to everyone's liking. We’re glad to hear that, overall, you had a great experience, apart from the issue during your check-out on Saturday. We truly hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon, the next time your travels bring you back to the area. Kind regards,
