Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.

Truly impressed with this hotel, we love the location since it is close to a sweet park, the metro station, and great restaurants. We rented a car and parking was an additional $20 but convenient with unlimited in and out allowed and the garage under the hotel. The breakfast

Dear Chritobal P, We are very happy to read that you enjoyed your stay at Hotel de l’ITHQ and thank for you taking the time to write your comments. As you mention, we are located right across the street from Square St-Loui which, indeed, gives our guests a great view. Did you know that our «very nice bar with a good selection of wines»’s concept and drink menu was completely elaborated by students? They are sure to be pleased with your feedback and we thank you on their behalf. We look forward to welcoming you again at Hotel de l’ITHQ. Christopher, Second year student in hospitality managment

We had a delightful visit this weekend. Really enjoyed the fact that this is a training hotel while still just as professional and well run as any! Would come back many times over. It was a plus to have parking ($) in the same building as the hotel to not have to walk in the

Dear Moira H, Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your stay at Hotel de l’ITHQ. Did you know that our staff are students from our school? They are taking hospitality management classes and then practice in the different departments of the hotel. Indeed, we are located on the Plateau and very close to downtown Montreal. Being a student myself, I also appreciate the many shops and restaurants close by and can easily see how convenient it is for our guests. We hope to see you again for another ‘excellent experience’ very soon at Hotel de l’ITHQ! Christopher Second year student in Hotel Management

I previously wrote about a September visit with my daughter. In November I returned, by myself this time, for a week long stay. The weather in Montreal was quite different; cold and snowy. But my room and the hotel were quite comfortable and the city didn't miss a

Any issues with bed bugs? How far is the hotel from the main shopping areas?
Agreed, the place is spotless. Like anywhere we stay, we do a bedbug check anyways and cross reference it to the bedbug registry. I usually do not shop while on vacation (can't fit in my carry on case), and the only place I know of is the Centre Eaton which is easily accessible by Metro (Metro station is behind the hotel). We took advantage of 3 Day Metro Pass (unlimited rides). Check out Boutique metiers d'art du Quebec in Old Montreal if you are looking for unique items from local artists as souvenir. Enjoy!

Can you tell us the prices for parking
We paid US $30 per night giving us immediate access to our car- I believe less costly parking is available as well.
