Neighbourhood
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.

I was excited to go back to Montreal after a 15-year hiatus but apprehensive about the hype of 5-star hotels in that city! You see, I'm what you would call a hotel snob...so I'm always afraid to be disappointed. I'm the person counting the thread count Egyptian cotton in my sheet

I recently proposed to my then-girlfriend (now fiancé) at The Ritz. The staff was outstanding in helping out. A huge shout out to Simon at The Dom Perignon Lounge, who went over and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Everyone was so kind and I cannot wait to head back

If you are renting a place in Maui is the price quoted in U.S. Dollars or Canadian?
It depends where you book it , if you are booking it on line and your place of residence is in Canada you could get quoted in cad dollars or if you request it to be in US dollars that's also ok. So it all depends on your preference at the time of your booking.

We are coming for an event this summer and looking for a nearby hair salon for a blow dry and make up application. Looking for a recommendation, please. Thanks.
Hana at the Ritz was AMAZING. I highly recommend her. She fixed my hair n my hair-do looked the same after a 15 hour flight

Is it possible to get a mini fridge and microwave in the room?
Dear Amarit R, Thank you for your interest towards the Ritz-Carlton Montreal. Yes it is possible. There is a mini-fridge in the room for the mini-bar that can be emptied and you can ask for a microwave in your room during your booking.
