Stayed here on arrival to Toronto for one night then again for two nights before returning to London Uk. From the moment the car pulled up, luggage taken to our room and a quick checkin, that really helps after a long transatlantic flight. The food services in the club lounge were just right, breakfast, lunch and evening appetisers along with a wide range of drinks. Ate in Epoch one night very friendly staff and high quality food. On the day we were leaving the snow fell,Emma in the club suggested we moved our transfer to the airport forward, very good idea! Used the hotel car and the driver was very helpful. The house keeping was excellent. Priscilla,Rose Emma and Eric all went out of their way to make it a very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Hotel's Favourite
The Ritz-Carlton Visit, So we had another great stay at The Ritz, this time for my birthday, my wife was unable to join us so it was just myself and my daughter. We had decided this time to get the corner suite, initially without the club lounge access. After booking Shea from Guest Experiences had reached out to me, offering suggestions, booking us in to the newly opened Epoch, also bookings for TOCA as well pre booked, I had a lot of interaction with Shea prior to arrival. This was a new experience for us, a lot of text comms on booking and checking on our itineraries etc as well as emails going back and forward, which was a very nice touch. Pre-booking reservations I think is a great idea. After a long Friday night drive through downtown traffic, we arrived fairly late and I checked in with Elizabeth, as I was checking in I was surprised, pleasantly surprised to be greeted by GM Mr. Guillame Benezach who came over to welcome us and say hi. It was great seeing him again and he had gone through great lengths (through our comms) in putting wheels in motion to ensure our stay was great. Now, it had been some years that we had the suite and something was amiss, the room seemed a bit too dark although it was night time and some of the facilities in the room which were previously in the last suite, such as the TV in the bathroom mirrors and heated bathroom floors, also the dividing door was gone. It also looked like the mini-bar/honour bar had gone and a new design of what appeared to be an old style traveling case in place albeit with in-built mini fridge, tea and coffee station. Perhaps there is no demand for this anymore? Although I must admit having a full stocked honor bar is an awesome feeling but I guess people may just be asking an empty fridge to put their own drinks and candy’s in there. I also guess it makes things easier. The writing desk was also not in the main bedroom but in the joining section in-between the bedroom and the sitting area however it did have a built in make-up mirror/light with plug points in there, so fine for doing your make up, but no good for working and a bit weird that there were no power points at the desk top. I’m not sure if I could have routed my laptop to those points but I found some at floor level As a rewards member we had free wifi and it was fast and we were both able to watch youtube on both my own laptop and the TV’s. We had a couple of movie nights and pop-corn to boot which was fantastic. But I couldn’t still get the feeling that this was not quite right, I did want my daughter who didn’t remember her last trip to be as wowed and amazed as I was. Although that said she was actually amazed at the whole room saying how awesome the suite was and her jaw totally dropped on entering the room. Still, I went down to have a chat with Elizabeth who really understood what my concerns where and in true Ritz form, was 100% customer focused on trying to help out. I knew this experience could be better. At this point I met Shea for the first time, who had a lovely gift for my daughter and did explain the main changes in the Ritz and the room redesign but did want me to be happy with my room choices so she suggested a higher floor. I also reconsidered my option for the club lounge. Now this room had a totally different feel, much brighter and it was then that I realised that although the room layout was the same it was actually a brighter, lighter colour carpet that was different. This brightens up the room no end also the higher floor gave more light to the room the view was better and bingo like that we were set. (so tip one, you do need a higher floor, 19 or higher). Both Shea and Elizabeth really made my concerns not seem over the top, you are paying good money and they want you to be happy with the product. I remember apologizing profusely, I felt like some diva who wasn’t getting what she wanted LOL but no, they totally understood and wanted everything to be right, everything to be up to Ritz standard. We dined at Epoch that evening it was great to see Carleen and the food was out of this world. We decided to get best bang for our buck by doing 2 full days of club lounge and to be honest, you really have to think, when you do the math, the club lounge IS WELL WORTH it, you basically have food offerings 5 times a day. Unlimited soft drinks and alcohol, you are staying at a 5 star hotel, when you think for 2 people what you are paying for club lounge you are ACTUALLY saving money but it’s NOT just the food and drink offerings. You are paying for a little piece of relaxation you are dining in style, a beautiful view of the lake, attentive staff this…THIS you cannot put a dollar figure to the staff are able to secure discounts on attractions, make you out of this world cocktails, fantastic cappuccino’s, they offer suggestions and more ! You have to understand, YES you can go out and get a $20 breakfast BUT you are here to relax, enjoy and be pampered, this is what you don’t see when look at prices when booking. From Saturday to Monday we were pretty much stuffed with all the little food offerings. Often nipping up to grab a coffee, a candy or a pop, almost like nipping into your very own BUT well stocked kitchen for a bite to eat, and taking back some bagels or a pastry to your room after breakfast is a must. For the real true Ritz experience if you DO NOT GO club lounge you are missing out. This time round we didn’t go Toca, the offerings were not really to my taste, all though they all sounded exquisite, my daughter was more keen on going out and hitting the night life, although I knew the service would not be the same, my birthday dinner at Moxies which is just across the street was very "lackluster" but when you have an 11 year old fine dining is not really what they are after. Maybe next time. However we made it back to the lounge and Olga made a fantastic take on a Cosmo for me and of course who birthday needs cake when you have The Ritz desserts. I’m not sure why the Ritz Bar was closed, but that was a really nice buzzing place. Very bright and vibrant, a nice place for breakfast and lunch and to hang out in, maybe Epoch is the new Ritz Bar ? but as we had the club lounge we didn’t miss out. My daughter of course LOVED the hot tub and swimming pool and it was just great to relax, the remit for this weekend was RELAX, get pampered and celebrate, my wife def missed out on this weekend. Although there were some glitches and I do mean, very minor ones, the overall experience you just cannot beat, one thing that The Ritz has, it has fantastic grade A customer service EVERYONE you meet from the front door guy’s, the bell, the valets are all totally awesome I mean where else will you see a hotel GM come and greet you. Where else will you see guest experience staff who REALLY DO want to make your experience great. I’ve been to The Ritz now 5 times, by far my most favourite place to stay and relax. It is more expensive than most hotels but you have to understand this is a 5 Star hotel, If you can’t finance a suite go for a deluxe guest room you won’t be disappointed. If a suite YOU must get a high floor. And you MUST, absolutely MUST get club lounge access. I want to give a BIG thank you to ALL the fantastic and hard working Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz, the club lounge staff, Shea and of course Mr Benzech for taking the trouble to see that everything was perfect for us. I’m still eyeing up the banquet hall, maybe for a wedding LOL (mind you I have about 8 years to start saving for that!) I hope pictures will be posted here I have 2 video’s on “youtube”, so do visit me on adrianjayonline for those.

It is not often that I leave a 5 star hotel with the impression that everything was a major let down. I had arranged for an airport pick up that never happened because their driver did not show up on time - they sent me a picture of him in front of a clock 30 minutes later than the arrival time as proof he was there, lol. And to top it off they charged me anyway because, why not rip off the client if you can, right? Then I was allocated a room that had some isolation problems in the window, which would make a whistling sound every time the wind picked up. After some back and forth and even the staff not agreeing on what the problem was, I was moved to a different room, which was better. Then the hotel has no concierge for most part of the day - apparently that is also my fault for not paying up for the fee of the Club lounge access in which they apparently do get a concierge. The restaurants and spa were both unimpressive and more in line with a middle range chain hotel. I thought that maybe in Canada they had different standards for 5 star service, but then I went to the RC Montreal and realized that this hotel is indeed a 3 star property disguised as a premium experience. I had a quick chat with the General Manager of the hotel and he was a very decent and down to Earth guy, which is usually a good indicator of how the staff would behave - but nope, most of them just don’t care at all. Definitely would give this hotel a hard pass next time.

I wish we'd booked our suite for the length of our stay in TO. We were returning to introduce our children to a city we know and love (having lived in Toronto some 10 years back). We booked a combination of a few hotels and a lake house stay during our 31 day stay, but I must say that by far, this hotel is the best we stayed in in TO and the best we have visited in a while. Customer Service is outstanding! OUTSTANDING, all over the hotel. Concierge are fabulous, Front Desk wonderful, Guest Services just spectacular and all of the staff working hard cleaning rooms, serving and preparing food and everything in-between are just wonderful. You can really see that the customer experience is at the forefront of what this hotel does. Guest Services arranged for Birthday cake and balloons for my son and were so kind, bringing milk and cookies in the evening and checking that the kids had everything there needed. Hotel is spotless and seems to be recently refurbed. High level speed to everything from beds and sheets, to pillows and all electronics etc including washing and drying toilet. On site restaurant was great for family meals and meeting friends. Really good cocktails and high standard of food. Great waiting staff. Location of the hotel is perfect for getting around. We'll be sure that this is the only place we stay when we return and it has reminded me why I stayed in Ritz hotels in the past - looking for another Ritz location for Easter. True 5* experience and we've had a lot that promise but fall short...not in this instance.

As always, a great hotel, especially for business. The room are still comfortable, everything is clean and my room had a Great Lake view. But COVID has been hard on the Ritz. The check-in process felt almost like airport security, no one says welcome back (I’ve lost counts of my visits), one bath towel ripped while I was using it (just from being an old towel), no more shoe horn in the room and no more house car easily available for a quick drop-off.

The ceiling lights above the shower and bathtub were both broken. Both USB plugs on the nightstand had no power. One of the two wardrobe door panels did not close properly and always stayed open. It's not about whether I was unlucky to get the one bad room. Nor whether these issues had much practical impact to my stay. The point is, in my opinion, simply to maintain the minimum quality standard for the Ritz-Carlton name, the hotel could and should have taken any room with even one of these defects off the market completely until fully fixed, not bookable by anybody, forgoing their revenue. It's like one of the reasons you're happy for high end products to make a fat profit margin from your purchase is they do the quality control and scrap the obviously defective products before they leave the factory. This was just the most clear and avoidable part. There were also numerous other details and service qualities far below the standard you might expect from Ritz-Carlton. Reception staff was friendly and professional. I will never come back to Ritz-Carlton Toronto, will probably stay at The Hazelton or Four Seasons or St Regis next time in Toronto.

Have been meaning to write this review. Ritz Carlton guest experience has went over and beyond my expectations. Our family stayed this Aug 2022 to celebrate our 18 wedding anniversary. They prepared the room with a pleasant surprise. I ordered some amenities and they arrived in a timely manner. All my persona requests were met for the kids. I made a request for cupcake decorating for the kids, elmo toys for my little one and my older one really enjoyed the ice cream cooking class with nitrogen. Loved the club lounge as we could come and go as we pleased and concierge assisted us with Aquarium tickets before we arrived. Only drawback is the sofa bed. Wished there were room offerings for 2 bedroom in the club lounge suites. Overall fantastic family stay for families looking for a bit of a luxury staycation. Thanks Kamila for ensuring our stay was well taken care of from start to finish.

We stayed as 3 couples each in a Deluxe K with Club Access. Well appointed rooms with good storage and well lit bathrooms (didn’t love the pillows but never asked for a change. If I had, no doubt it would have been accommodated). Great amenities. Everything you would expect of a premier Ritz. However, the Staff made it EXCEPTIONAL. From the front desk to the Club Lounge, the staff could not do more to make us comfortable. The lounge was very well stocked, many great options with good food offerings and a well stocked bar. Well laid out and never felt crowded. Views were amazing. Checking staff was excellent. Despite our status, hotel was full and we weren’t upgraded but we didn’t really need it. Location is very central to everything. My only gripe (minor) was the Doorman. They were not attentive or as helpful as we are accustomed to at a Ritz. Wasn’t consequential for a two day stay. Spa was nice and relaxing. Massage was good.

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Toronto in a corner suite room for 6 nights in September 2022. The hotel was busy during the early days of my stay due to TIFF. Despite that, the staffs always managed to recognize me, talked to me, and sincerely were caring towards my purposes during the stay. They were always attentive and strived to make my stay more comfortable. A front desk staff, Kateryna, was always very attentive, polite, and friendly. She took care of me in solving some minor issues with my room, ensuring my safety with an incident in the lobby, and printing an important document late at night that eventually saved me a lot of time in my travel later on. The room was luxurious and comfortable, with everything working properly. Mineral water were given generously twice a day. Bathroom was luxurious with a very important feature, an automatic toilet. Bedroom was homey and serene, inducing good night rest. The bed was a bit too soft for me but I still managed to rest comfortably. Location of the hotel is excellent. Lots of dining options are available nearby. Theaters are also within short walking distance. Quite a number of unique and wonderful locally owned coffee places are within walking distance as well. All in all, I would love to be back at Ritz Carlton Toronto in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
