The dining room not open, breakfast came in a paper bag for take-out, the rooms have paper-thin walls so you can hear everything from the next room. Our neighbours in next room partied and carried on until 1:00AM. We had banged up furniture in the bedroom and the decor was sparse, and cold . We got a "seniors discount" but it was a lousy stay for the price. It was much like staying in a cheap roadside motel, but it cost nearly $200!! for one night.

If you're in a pinch or looking to save money this hotel is fine but next time I'm back I'll be looking for something more updated. Lobby was nice, staff were friendly, room was cleaned everyday. Rooms are feeling run down and ready for updates. Towels and sheets dingy/have tears, room had fruit flies and ladybugs, ran out of hot water after 1 shower, sink wasn't draining well, bed felt sunken and uncomfortable to lie in one position for too long.

I arrived at this hotel to a large clean parking lot and a well lit building. In the lobby a friendly woman greeted me warmly and did a quick and efficient check in. She told me about all the services and even let me choose which floor I wanted. I checked in very early due to an appointment at the local hospital and that was no issue for this hotel, the room was ready so check in no problem. Breakfast was included and delivered right to my door they said. Very convenient during Covid. My room was spacious, clean and quiet, exactly like expected from this brand. I will be back next time I need to come to Barrie.

We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton, Barrie for one night after flying in to YYZ, on our way to two weeks in the Muskokas and further north. We booked a “1 King Bed” room via Expedia six days in advance, paying $177, including taxes, etc. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was large with a separate living room and bedroom. The location was convenient, not too far off the highway (although we were just passing through for one night, and were in no rush so it didn’t really matter). The room had a large flat-screen TV with plenty of channel selection. While the hotel was nothing special, it met our needs. The only minor downside was the “included” breakfast. When we checked in, we had to pick a time for it to be delivered. We understand that due to COVID, they can’t have a regular buffet-type set-up. However, the breakfast that arrived was a brown bag containing some apples, and the types of cold morning snack foods you might buy at a 7-11 (if you were ever forced to buy your breakfast at a 7-11). Having to order it for a specific delivery time the night before was not very convenient, especially for travelers who had arrived on a flight from 3 time zones away that day. Order too early, and you have to set your alarm to make sure you’re awake to receive it. Order too late and you could be sitting in your room for hours just being hungry. It wasn’t a big deal, but given what the meal consisted of, it’s unclear why the delivery needed to be so precisely scheduled in advance. Note that I award ratings of 1 or 5 only about 3-5% of the time, which means the vast majority of my ratings are either 2, 3 or 4. A rating of 3 means it was “average”, which means “in the middle”, not “mediocre”. If it was an option, I likely would have rated this property a 3.5, due to the size of the room and separate bedroom. But that alone was not sufficient to raise this property to a 4, which is my highest rating other than for the top 1 or 2%.

Thank you for staying with us and the feedback. Most of our guests are very satisfied with having breakfast delivery instead of lining up. We are sorry to hear this was inconvenient for you. We are pleased to advise travellers that within a short time we will have more and better breakfast options as restrictions are lifted. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

This is your average four points hotel which is good enough for a short stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the bathroom is the same. However, when it comes to general cleanliness (not covid related), some improvement is definitely needed. It seems that cleaning is performed in a rush as there was dust and a lot cobwebs in the corners of our room, behind the sofa, and in the bottom corner of our beds. Staff resources is also an issue as when we arrived there was only one person who was handling the front desk, guest requests, and came up to our room to clean the corners. I really appreciated his service, but management should review staff resources for the evening shift and ensure there are sufficient personnel available to handle guest needs. Lastly, the swimming pool was nice but the water a bit too cold and again, it could have been cleaner as there was way too much chlorine poured inside.
