We primarily chose this condo hotel over a regular hotel room based on the need to use a washer in the middle of our road trip. It worked out really well for us. (The washer is one of those washer/dryer combos that wash but do a rather poor job of drying your clothes, so you have to hang and let drip dry.) We mostly used the stay to sleep (and clean clothes) so we didn't really take advantage of the kitchen or the roomy unit, which had a nice living room area. But it felt good to be able to spread our stuff out, repack, etc. And we loved the adjacent free parking, which made it easy to get from car to room--although there is no elevator to our room on the second floor. (Note that there is another Bower Hotel on Robinson Street; don't confuse these two.) The furnishings were clean, modern and even stylish. And the location only one long block from Main Street was great for walkers. Although unplanned, we stayed on July 1, Canada Day, so we walked a few more blocks to the riverside park for a great fireworks display. Really fun to be able to take that in without hassling with parking.…
We stayed at Suite 302 at the Bower Hotel & Suites on Robinson Street. We got lucky when we booked a last-minute 2 night stay at this beautiful newly renovated apartment building. For the price we got, this luxurious suite had everything we were looking for but without breaking the bank. Check in/check out and access to building is easy. Awesome location with lots of restaurants, pubs, and shops within walking distance. Excellent customer service regardless of virtual system. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stylish, clean, and fully loaded suite. Luckily, there is more than one location! Be sure to check out Bower Hotel & Suites next time you are visiting the greater Moncton area!!! We will be back! Thank you for being a 5 star accommodation.
I’m super impressed with the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. This room is small but every square inch is so well thought out… from the single toilet room to the full kitchen even the lighting is perfect for whatever mood you want… blaring bright! Hidden ambience? Dark AF? This room provides. Pay for parking, it’s too convenient to your room not to. Love that I could wash my clothes with laundry soap provided. Towels lush and the bed is comfy, nice sized tv everything you need to batten down the hatches for a wonderful stay.
This hotel was a huge pleasant surprise to us. We were going to a show at Capitol theatre so we wanted to be close. Bower on Queen was a 3 minute walk away so I booked it without really looking at the amenities. To our surprise, it came with full kitchen and living room with a separate bedroom area and a spa bath. There is an outdoor entrance with a small bbq as well. We accidentally booked the hotel the night after we meant to book and they were wonderful in accommodating us in another suite!! Thank you again!! There is no reception area and yet a great ease of access to your room. We would definitely stay at at Bower Hotel in the future.
I had the opportunity to stay at the Bower Hotel in Moncton, and it was nothing short of fantastic. A beautifully detailed and inviting property, it was an excellent visit. I could not imagine a nicer hotel to stay at, and it was a great value as well. A top score from me.
I reserved a suite noting on their website that my arrival would be most likely around 6pm. My plans changed and I was getting to Moncton just after 3pm which is their check-in time. We made our way to inside the building using the keypad at the front door and we were given suite 101 lockbox code to enter. We entered the suite and discovered that it wasn’t cleaned from the previous guest(s) i.e. beer cans and popcorn bag on the kitchen counter, towels on the bathroom floor and bed not made. I called immediately the number given at reservation to be told that I put 6pm in my reservation but I quickly reminded her that I am paying for a room available from check-in to check out. The person said that the cleaning staff was overwhelmed and that they would be there right away and done within one hour. I was also told that I would have a 15% discount on the room. We went shopping to pass the time and came back at 4:30. We entered the building and found the suite door propped open and noticed right away that it was still not finished cleaning. I called inside the suite to talk to the cleaning person but nothing then heard her come up the stairs from a smoke break listening to music. She was apologetic and said that she would be done in half hour and that we could wait in the hallway. We left again and I called right away the same person to let her know the situation and requested a full refund which she agreed to provide. I advised the company through their "contact us" on their website to hopefully make the owners/managers aware of the situation so it is not a future experience for any future guests…
Well located a block off the Main Street for bars and restaurants within walking distance. Our apartment on the second floor was a welcome change from normal hotels and an excellent value. Somewhat tight quarters in all the rooms that is cozy for 2 people but that’s it. Nice rehab of an interesting building. Balcony too.
Self-service was super easy. All we needed for our own check-in was emailed to us a couple of days before and the info needed to check-out the day before check-out. The parking pass you need to park with us inside the suite so park in the 15 min loading zone and get your key and pass. The stairwell smells somewhat fishy from the lobster bar next door but inside the suite does not. It was a clean and comfortable suite. Very quiet and roomy. The kitchen, if you want one, looked great. Wifi was free. Great location for restaurants and shopping.
I can't say enough about Bower locations. It's a home away from home! They think of EVERYTHING! From the no hassle booking and check out, parking, snacks, very clean, quiet, cozy, well located. Thank you!
As a frequent business traveller to Moncton i was excited to find a new spot downtown that had more personality to offer than a standard hotel. Pluses: Location is great, short walk to main st and many restaurants. Full size fridge and stove, washer and dryer Quaint feel rather than cookie cutter hotel room Digital entey to main door Minuses: No desk or work space in my unit (102). Had to use my laptop on high kitchen counter. Laptop was at chest level. No good for business traveller Stools for counter were too low and very uncomfortable. Easier to stand. Bed is set in tight alcove with no night table or lamp. Not able to read in bed, place phone or tablet, etc. Also as CCAP user, was nowhere to put my machine. Lightswitch is on wall across from bed. You have to get into bed in dark. Nice sink but no counter to rest toothbrush and other toiletries. Lock on unit door requires key (i prefer key cards) and does not automatically lock on exit. You must remember to lock it yourself. Should not be the case on a hotel unit. I cant comment on other units but as a business traveller i will not rent this unit again. I just think these guys had a great idea but fell short on delivery. …
