Wonderful surroundings, very comfortable and clean, well run, well organized, excellent and attentive staff and Administration (Nothing too much for them), great food, excellent fishing, safety considered very important, great camaraderie. I have very fond memories of Haa Nee Naa! I look forward very much to my next visit!
I highly recommend this lodge and fishing excursion. The fishing is great, but it's the staff and guides who make this place extra special. The Coho bite was on, and we all had our limit of Halibut as well. The humpback whale watching was an extra bonus. Thanks for the great memories.
Yes the fishing is excellent but what makes this place are the great people from Clay,Robin ,Jason to Hughie and Alita and everyone in between make this place. The greeting at the start, to the goodbye at the end. These people make you feel special. Paul the chef keeps you well fed Alita makes sure you are well hydrated and the guides make sure you get the fish. I'd say if you want a once in a lifetime experience this would be it. The problem is once you leave you'll just have to go back. Thanks
I was privileged to spend 5 days at Haa Nee Nah Lodge in May 2016 accompanying friends on a fishing trip. The fishing was great ( Tyee Chinook Salmon!, Halibut, Ling Cod) and the staff and facilities were excellent. Clay, Jason and Robyn, and their enthusiastic staff run a friendly and efficient operation; providing top notch guiding and a warm welcome. Their equipment is well maintained and Paul's cooking never failed to impress and satisfy; home made hot snacks ferried out to the fishermen was a great touch! I have been raving about the trip ever since I got back and am definitely planning to return. I would heartily recommend this Lodge to anyone interested in exploring this beautiful corner of the world
This was my first experience fishing for salmon on the West Coast. Clay and his team were as good as it gets. The guiding team is very patient and work very hard to find the fish. The Lodge is beautiful nestled in a back bay. All of the equipment is great. The boys are very safety conscious. Our guide Danny was more than accommodating. The experience, staff, fishing and scenery were first class. looking forward to returning again.
Although I go on many fishing trips, I return every year to HaaNeeNaa on Dundas Island. 2015 is my 9th year, and the experience just keeps getting better. My annual adventure to HaaNeeNaa isn't just about fishing. It's also about the friendships, the float planes, the lodge, the food, the wildlife, the scenery, and it's especially about the staff who bring it all together. Clayton, Robyn, Jason and the gang make the entire experience memorable. I own a resort inn, so I know how difficult it is to deliver memorable customer experiences. I'm offering this review because the folks at HaaNeeNaa deliver those great experience, day after day, and year after year. It's why I will be back, with my gang, in 2016. If you are considering the fishing trip of a lifetime, I unreservedly recommend HaaNeeNaa Lodge. …
I have been fishing the waters north of Prince Rupert since the mid-nineties and have stayed at the three major fishing lodges in the area. This was my first time at Haa Nee Naa and it was outstanding in every way...well appointed, gourmet cuisine, accommodating staff and without question, close proximity to world class fishing. This is fishing the way it should be...in smaller, open boats with great maneuverability and no down riggers! Coming home with 164 pounds of filets of halibut, chinook, coho, ling cod and rock fish tells the story, including a tyee (a salmon over 30 pounds). The guides are accomplished and have their "special spots" that are productive for targeting a particular species. A typical day starts with awakening to the sweet sounds of Patsy Cline, hot coffee and a breakfast buffet. At 10:00 a.m., while you are out on the water, the Haa-Nee-Naa coffee company boat arrives with coffee and mochas along with a warm, baked treat and takes your catch back to the lodge for processing. The choice to go in for a hot lunch is an option or it will be brought out to your fishing spot should you choose to stay on the water. A typical cocktail hour might include martinis and spot prawns. The three course dinners are beautifully prepared. I must say, this is the best experience I have ever had fishing these waters, releasing many fish in the mid-twenties. Can't wait to return next year with my family.…
Top notch, professional fishing experience. Staff and guides are all friendly, helpful, and there to please. Food was very good and plentiful. A nice touch is that hot coffee and a tasty warm snack is bought out to where you are fishing in the morning, and you have the option to stay out for lunch or return in for a hot meal. Also, you are able to add fishing time in the evenings after dinner if you wish.
The size alone is a great asset. The location is perfect, with a number of different fishing spots, including a major one within three minutes of the lodge. A great deal of personal attention, and attention to detail. Large en-suite rooms with two beds, great food, great enthusiastic guides in excellent boats and even candle lit dinners. What more could one want. And the fishing was good!
you will love this place and the staff are excellent - Clay, Robyn and Jason go out of there way to make sure you have a good time along with everyone else their - this is an outstanding place to go fishing
