Clean, comfortable and friendly! Stayed here 2 nights for hockey tournament. Great location downtown beside save on foods. Our double beds could used a mattress topper as were they were a bit hard for our liking. Super friendly helpful staff, always available 24/7
Stayed here while in town for work. The hotel is a little dated and worn, but clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Underground parking was nice to get out of rain. Will stay here again.
I booked the room for a friend, the friend arrived and the hotel said the room was not ready yet despite my friend being extremely tired and requesting an early check in. The hotel refused to help. when my friend left, at that point they offered a room as it was ready. It was too late by then. Since I paid for the hotel prior to arriving, the hotel will not offer a refund, and their response was "even if your house was on fire" or no matter the reason, they will not refund your money. Unfair practice. Beware
We stayed here for three nights and had decent nights sleep throughout. Cannot say anything overly bad about the place. The bathroom is a little worn and could use more shelving space for toiletries. A good quiet location. A bit of a walk to attractions unless you have a vehicle. Underground parking with plenty of space. We would stay here again.
A bit older of a hotel, beds were comfortable and everything was some what clean, bath water was green. breakfast didn’t have much selection but it still was nice because we had to leave early in the morning. staff were friendly. if you are planning on staying here and wanting something to eat i suggest dolly’s fish market.
The hotel is a little retro/older, and is not in the center of town. So I'm not sure you can get a view room here. We didn't. We could still walk to Cow Bay from there. The room was huge and super comfortable (though a bit warm--no AC and we were there at an unusually warm time), well equipped. Little couch and ottoman, in addition to desk/chair. And a chaise lounge! Lots of space. Parking is a little dicey. There is underground parking, but not a lot of it. Else, you're on the street. I do want to give a shout-out to them for great service, though. Went to turn on the shower in the morning, and the control was stuck so it wouldn't switch to shower mode. Called downstairs. He came up literally within minutes, had it fixed right fast. Can't get any better than that! There is basic continental breakfast stuff downstairs in the mornings.…
The Pacific Inn, in Prince Rupert, is blighted by the fact that the city has 300+. Days a year of rain !!!!! As a result you are not going to get a high class of decor here that’s going to be damaged by wet feet etc. That said it’s very clean and comfortable and caters for all needs, has a microwave, fridge, ac, WiFi, TV and comfy beds. If I had to criticise I would say the area used for breakfast is really small and maybe consider opening the adjoining restaurant to facilitate guest numbers Front desk staff are well mannered and work hard. There is limited car parking under the hotel but ample street parking. There are a couple of up market hotels in town but you will pay a lot more and this hotel is more than ample for a night or two.
That might seem like a slight at the place, but it's really not. I stayed here for four nights for work and it was exactly what I needed. Inexpensive, comfortable beds, walking distance to my workplace. The only issue that I had was that the room got quite warm, and I'm someone who runs hot most of the time, so it was a bit of a pain that I couldn't open the window. Otherwise, I recommend it. The staff are extremely friendly, and check in/check out were quick and simple. You could do MUCH worse.
After being in the room that was deemed their prestige room I felt so dirty and uncomfortable we left and went to a different hotel. Theplace is unkept and dirty, our room that didn’t have ac or a bug screen on the very dirty window had a view of a decrepit abandoned building with people visibly doing drugs. I had my grand children with me and didn’t even feel comfortable letting them sit in the one chair that was in the room. I don’t know how this place can be in business this place is nothing short of disgusting.
We have now stayed at this hotel on both of our visits to Prince Rupert. We like staying here because it is efficient, friendly, fridge in the room, washer and dryer available to use, a breakfast is available and it is a convenient location. The lounge where you can help yourself to breakfast looks out over the water. They are environmentally conscious in that they use dishes and cutlery, not disposable dishes. This is a huge plus for me. We used the lounge in the evening to play a board game. When you are on a road trip finding a place that has a washer and dryer available to use is so valuable. We just park our car when we stay here and then walk around Prince Rupert. It is easy to walk to coffee shops and restaurants and grocery stores. Having a fridge in your room allows you to put your cooler items in there and to get your ice blocks frozen again. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This place is not fancy or luxurious but it is comfortable, affordable and great to stay at. The rooms could use a little bit of updating and hopefully that will come in time.…
