We needed a place to stay for an overnight before checking into our booked Resort. Found the Marina Banderas Hotel Boutique & Suites, located right on the Nuevo Vallarta marina. Wonderful boutique hotel. Very quiet. And, the service was superb. As well, there were a bevy of restaurants/bars that were easy to walk to all-around the marina area. Oh, yeah! The king size bed was fantastic. Extremely comfortable. I would recommend the Marina Banderas Suites to anyone who needs a good overnight stay; or, even, a long weekend. Very well located in Nuevo Vallarta.
The location is great, access to many restaurants, cabs, buses and of course the open air bus. The staff were very attentive and super friendly. We like a firm bed , thank goodness because it was firm. It was a quiet location, we always woke to the sound of birds. We only ate at the attached restaurant a couple of times , the food was good, the service was great. We would and definitely hope to go back to the same hotel, but would prefer a room with cooking facilities. We would recommend this hotel.
We loved our stay and were sorry that we only had one night. The room was very comfortable and large. Staff were amazingly welcoming. The restaurant food was delicious. We recommend this place and would come back again.
The pics speak for themselves. They do not have dead bolts or any safety locks on the doors. Standard house hold door knobs. The curtains are thread bare, the walls/baseboards are dirty. The air conditioning is a portable unit & doesn’t keep up. The pool is TINY and there is no deck where you can sit around the pool. The beach is blocks away, but you can rent a cooler!
Booked through Expedia for a 10 night stay in February 2019. Taxi driver from Puerto Vallarta had difficulty finding this hotel so he dropped us off "close to it" and we walked from there. Got to hotel around 7 PM and checked in with Africa at front desk. She was very helpful, gave us a lot of information and took us to our room. She explained everything and then left us to settle in. Went down for supper to the restaurant and in fairness to the hotel, they do not run the restaurant for the evening meal, it is someone else. The food was fine that night but we ate there a couple of times and I would say it was mediocre. When we retired for the night we found the bed to be very hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were okay, not great. We turned the air conditioner on (one of those floor models with venting out the window) and it was so loud we couldn't sleep with it on. Consequently, the room got quite hot at night and we slept poorly. Next day we went down for the "complementary" breakfast. It is the same thing every morning - a small fruit plate of cantaloupe, papaya, orange and banana - with a small bit of yogurt and granola, maybe 2 tablespoons of each. "Toast" is also included but it usually arrived either well before the fruit or well after the fruit so it was always cold and rock hard when you ate it. Also, their toast is really just bread fried on one side. Juice was also included but it wasn't really juice, more like an orange drink (think of Tang). I did enjoy the coffee though. We used their offered bicycles a few times but my single speed had handle bars that flopped up and down constantly. I advised them the first time we rode and it was supposed to have been fixed but it wasn't. We used the beach chairs (more like camping chairs) and an umbrella once but it was so small we should have had 2 umbrellas. Twice when we requested our room be made up we got no service, but usually our room was attended to. The pool pictured on their website is sort of deceiving because I can confirm that it is in a very unattractive industrial type corner of the hotel and is extremely small. We used it once only to sit on the edge and dangle our feet in because you couldn't swim in it. I found the hotel and surrounding area to be on the noisy side as you can hear guests in the next suite very clearly. Outside maintenance begins early in the morning and we were regularly awakened to the sound of a leaf blower. We had some difficulty with the television because it was so small and far away from the bed that we had a hard time seeing it. Also, it just wouldn't shut off. We hit the power button and it looked like it was off but then a couple of minutes later it would spring to life again! We unplugged it to resolve this. Quite often there was no hot water when showering which I didn't really mind because the cool shower felt good, but my husband likes a hot shower so this didn't work well for him. The hotel appeared to be quite clean however I probably would not stay here again.…
