I came to the RIU Jalisco from 5-29-21 to 6-12-21 (still here) The resort is decent for the money. Room is very roomy and clean, a/c works well and they stock the fridge everyday. The food was average, I am not gonna starve to death here, but it's not the quality that I would rave about. Beach was a disappointment, trash washing up with the tide etc. The pool scene was like a bad Mexican Spring break episode, overcrowded, people getting stupid drunk and you know they are all peeing in the pool. Also, way too many kids here and just about everyone here is from Mexico. I don't personally care who comes here, but I came here by myself and it sucks to have zero people to talk to. If you are a single traveler and from America, don't come here, you will be miserable. Next time, I will go to my standby Cancun.

Dear cuznred, Thank you for sharing your impressions. We are disappointed to hear that your stay may have fallen short of your expectations. While we are glad you enjoyed your room´s commodity, it is saddening to find you were not entirely satisfied with the restaurant´s food choices as we give great importance to meet all guests´ expectations. We are also sorry to hear that you may have felt uncomfortable due to the behavior of other guests and that you had the impression that our hotel was very busy during your stay. Please rest assured that we comply with the laws established by the government, in this case, not exceeding the maximum occupancy. Please rest assured that our impressions will be forwarded to the responsible department for an appropriate follow up and we hope you allow us the chance to host you again soon for a more positive experience. We had a nice relaxing and fun trip. Food selection was excellent and good. Rooms need some upgrading. The location was perfect and the pool area was excellent with a lot of shade. The beach is a great clean section and a perfect flat beach for long walks.

It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. There’s a lot of local people and they’re really loud, and there’s a lot of drama. When we came in, our room was not clean. The workers do everything with attitude.

Dear John, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Our mission has always been to make our guests feel like they are in their home way from home, and we truly believe that we show all guests this warmth and respect, which is also the reason why we have so many long-time regular guests. However, it seems we did a poor job of making this evident during your stay. It was disappointing to read that you were unhappy with some other guests behavior. It is truly disappointing when people are not considerate of others and disrespectful. We can assure you that we do everything in our hands to ensure everyone at the hotel has a great holiday. Please accept the apologies of ourselves and the entire team for not providing you with an exceptional stay. This does not line up with the standards to which we hold ourselves and our staff. We assure you that any concerns that were brought to our attention were addressed, as we are always looking for way to improve our product and service, therefore thank you for your comments that will help us become that much better. While we know you may be hesitant to come back, we would certainly like the opportunity to regain your trust. Respectfully, Hotel Riu Jalisco Online Reputation Manager

Very nice and clean. Great service. Our toilet got clogged and we called and they came out quick to fix the problem. We had a great view from our room. The shows were great Our kids love the pools and the food. They had a blast. I would really recommend this to a friend or a family.

Second trip to Riu Jalisco and everything was as we remembered. Fantastic service, food and the most gorgeous beach for walking. Already planning on booking our 2022 vacation here. We are no reason to go elsewhere! We have traveled to many other resorts and the value is impossible to beat.
