Beautiful architecture and pleasant atmosphere in a vibrant part of the old historic district. Staff very friendly and attentive. On-site parking available. An outstanding experience in a central location. Professional attendants without the overbearing atmosphere. Would recommend highly

Beautiful hotel with the worse service. There is no breakfast, they charge the parking in cash although they advertise it’s free. If you want to take a bath you have to Call to ask for hot water. They have no staff, it’s only a man in the front desk Day and night. It’s really noisy and they don’t Clean often, We had a spider’s web on our lamp the whole stay. It’s expensive and not worth the price.

Lovely gem in a historic setting. The service was exceptional and the hotel was very conveniently located to the Zocalo. The room was cute but we had opted for one of the interior rooms (no windows) so that can be a little disconcerting. However, since we only stayed one night it was a non-issue. Bathroom was well equiped and breakfast was served in a pretty courtyard. Great value for the price.

An charming and restful oasis from the hub Bub of Puebla. Perfectly decorated with restraint, simplicity and good taste that made this hotel feel luxurious. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the service was great. We felt truly at home in this beautiful hotel. (My only suggestion for them would be the option of self serve coffee in the morning for early birds who rise before the breakfast service.) But we enjoyed the rooms, slept well and also enjoyed having drinks in the lovely back courtyard or breakfast in the charming outside dining area. We were three couples traveling with one child - the adults had a great time and the staff was adorable with our 6 year old. Everyone had fun there! I would highly highly recommend this hotel and it was excellent value for money!

My wife and I stayed at the Maria Paz for four nights. We experienced incredibly kind and attentive service. First, though about the hotel. The hotel oozes character. It is a restored/renovated colonial structure, with rooms surrounding dual courtyards. The ambience and decor are perfect for those seeking something that conveys a sense of place. The room we had was spacious and atmospheric. We had a very large bedroom area with adjacent alcove with an incredible bath tub and also an attached, modern bathroom with an excellent shower and tons of hot water. The room faced the inside courtyard and did not have a window in the bedroom area apart from two small open shutters on the door. There was a large open window in the tub area. Anyone who has experienced Mexico probably knows that not having a window onto the street is a good thing. All-in-all a lovely room. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but will provide a simple continental breakfast at very low cost. It does have a bar! Now to the service. My wife became ill and experienced extreme discomfort while we were in Puebla, to the point where I had to take her to the hospital at 6:00 a.m. The staff could not have been more helpful. The night clerk Eduardo located a hospital where there was staff who spoke English and arranged for transportation. Another staff helped my wife down the stairs and into the taxi. Later, the staff brought tea to the room and were very concerned about her condition. The staff also helped to secure transportation to another city when I could not manage the Spanish websites. This is a good hotel. Thanks again to Eduardo, Irving, Najela and the other staff for all of their kindness and assistance.

Our group happened upon this boutique hotel when we were out walking. The woman at the front desk covering for the hotel manager was on duty and she was so welcoming to us and showed us around and the rooms and we left regretting we didn’t stay there. It’s too late to change our present accommodations. If any of us return to Puebla we would certainly book here first. Great rooms, location and hospitality.

It's a really lovely place to stay in Puebla, welcoming staff, great atmosphere, just what I needed. Can be a bit noisy during the day... but hey, it's located in the centre of a Mexican city, a place where using your car horn is a driving essential! Didn't bother us though.

During our stay we had a couple requests to make (changing rooms, looking out for a delivered package), and the staff went above and beyond trying to accommodate us. On top of that they helped us book a tour of Cholula with a trusted company.

The hotel was beautiful and close to the historic center of Puebla. Free parking was great. The staff very friendly and spoke English. The only negative was excessive noise from the courtyard, lobby and street each evening and early morning. Also, hairdryers should be placed in all rooms without having to request one.
