Claudia and Leonel were so inviting, friendly and made you feel like part of a big family. The activities were diverse, for kids and adults. Thank you for making a good trip great! You will not regret this trip.
Just finished a wonderful week at this property. It was our first time here and it exceeded my expectations. The 2 bedroom villas were spacious and clean and the rooms were very quiet. The food onsite was good and much more affordable than other places in Cabo. The best part was the people at the family pool. Mario and Leo helped us with chairs every day and Claudia was amazing with the activities. Carlos was our amazing waiter who remembered our names and drink orders. The spa was also nice and I recommend Maricella for massage. We would definitely stay here again!
I'm here to give a shout out to the 3 beautiful humans who had the biggest positive impact on my recent vacation - Claudia and Isaak (Yoga and Poolside Entertainment) and Jorge (best massage of my life!) Claudia and Isaak, your ability to connect with my entire family and provide us with exercise and poolside games was above and beyond. I am a family events coordinator and I learned a lot from you both. Jorge, fue el mejor masaje de mi vida. En serio! And the massage facility is simply not to be missed. Gracias tambien a Mario, Sergio y Osdy! In short, so many good people working at this property!
Pro’s: Beautiful resort in a magnificent setting Pool area very enjoyable and never overcrowded. We were always able to find a place to sit by the pool no matter the hour. Property in general never seemed crowded Room was in great shape and the view (once our room was changed to what we paid for (see below) was spectacular. Food in all the restaurants we tried and also at the pool was generally very good. Our favorite meal was at El Ciruelo located at Baja Point which was excellent. Service everywhere was friendly and inviting. Most of the staff we came in contact with were excellent. Very easy to arrange on site Covid test Hotel felt very secure Great location near enough to San Jose del Cabo (easy ride with Uber) but far enough away to feel secluded. Cons: We paid for an ocean front view. However when we arrived in our room it faced a wall and the only way to see the ocean was to get close to the balcony and look all the way to the right. This was an extremely frustrating way to begin our stay. Thankfully after calling the front desk they were able to move us to a true ocean view room as we had paid for. However the whole experience left us with a bad feeling about the hotel. We paid extra for a room rate that included breakfast. However we found out on our first morning that the included breakfast only included 3 of the items off the extensive menu and those 3 items were not anything we were interested in. We were unable to choose other items off the menu (such as the Mexican items we craved) even if those other items cost less than what was included. Therefore we were forced to a) Order something we didn’t really want, b) Eat off property thereby forfeiting our included breakfast or c) Order something else off the the menu thereby paying for breakfast twice. We did a combination of these over the course of our stay. Concierge sent us to restaurants that were extremely touristy despite us asking to go to authentic Mexican restaurants where the locals go. It was obvious (and should have been expected) that the concierge/resort gets some type of kickback from the restaurants they send you to especially when we saw other guests of the resort at the same places. It was frustrating that the concierge did not take into account our very specific request to not eat at touristy restaurants. Concierge did a poor job of arranging ground transportation to and from the airport. On the arrival our name was not on the list at the airport and we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the ground transport company (Baja Pacific) to sort things out. On the departure, despite the concierge telling me everything was all set, the Baja Pacific ground transportation rep at the hotel showed me an email on his iPad which indicated our transfer back to the airport had been cancelled for some reason. Thankfully I took it upon myself to check with the ground transport company directly the day prior to departure rather than accepting the word of the concierge. Concierge promised several emails about the hotel and various Reservations/tours that were never received. At one point she told me she sent them but I could see on her screen she had sent to a different person in error Tours arranged by the concierge had numerous up charges once we arrived at the tour location. It would have been nice if this was made clear from the start and/or we were given the option to pay them up front. In one case the up charges nearly doubled the cost of the tour. Parts of the hotel facade appeared to be falling off the bottom of the open area above the pool area. At check in we were told we would be called when our room was ready. This call never happened as when I checked back with the front desk after a few hours I was told our room was already available and they weren’t sure why no one called me advising of this. Phone in room did not work I’m not sure what benefits my Bonvoy gold elite status has but there didn’t appear to be any at this property.…
Very nice property. Employees very friendly and good service. The bad part. They give us the room until 5 PM, when the check in is 3 PM. They did not clean the room, when I call they said that we must let them know in advance that we want the room clean every day !!!!! And then they told us that because COVID we need to buy at least 7 nights to get a clean room every day……..at least they need to mention it in their Hotel highlights, so you know in advance that we will be cleaning a room during your vacations. Unbelievable. The nice last part is that they give us a paper notifying us that check out is 10 AM….first time that in a Hotel check out is 10 AM, the std is 12 AM. To be a Marriott member I am completely disappointed.
