Just back from another lovely stay at Abbey Green Farm B&B, Camping & Touring Park located in the glorious Shropshire countryside at Whixall. It’s the second time we have stayed here and like us if you enjoy the peace and tranquility a smaller site offers, with excellent facilities like the ensuite shower rooms which are immaculately clean, the indoor washing up area and electric hook up points, you certainly won’t be disappointed. We love that the pitches are well maintained, and new this year they have added some hard standing pitches and even a beautifully created garden tent that you can book.

Each year from Easter to October the lovely hosts Rose and Phil open their award winning small friendly touring park for caravans, motorhomes and tents, on hand if you need them but not intrusive during your stay, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.

With miles of quiet country lanes and bridleways directly from the site it’s perfect for walking and cycling in North Shropshire. We love the circular walk to Whixall Marina via the Fenn's, Whixall & Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve.

We treated ourselves to a scrummy cream tea for two and on the evening Phil delivered our pre-ordered pizzas to our pitch, just perfect! The menu options are delicious and a proper treat if you don’t fancy cooking and not venturing out. Gem

It’s a great family and dog friendly site and although we’d like to keep it a little secret because we love going so much ourselves, it would be a shame not to highly recommend it. We booked direct with Rose at Abbey Green Farm.

This is the sort of fantastic place I love tripadviser for sending me to. Rose & Phillip's fine facility provides attentive hospitality & flexes for very different guests. They give handy directions (the maze of lanes is confusing) and advice about nearby pub meals. The rooms & furniture are stylish, modern & comfortable, avoiding the usual sweaty nylon mattress-savers. I stayed the night before an early cycling time trial the next morning., so I needed some breakfast at 5.30 to digest it before the race. This was no problem: guests access a kitchen like my own with a well-equipped fridge, wide range of cereals, fruit, home made jams & decent coffee. They also sent helpful texts beforehand (pay attention to their warning that what 3 words or google maps get you to them much more efficiently than my rotten car satnav) & followed up to let me know that, in my addled post-race state, I had sent my race review to Phillip instead of my coach!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The quality and cleanliness of fixtures and fittings, soft furnishings, breakfast ingredients and service all made for a very relaxing stay. Rose and Philip are very thoughtful in their provision of luxury soaps, teas etc.and always ready to offer extra help.
The setting enables a restful nights sleep in the silence of the countryside.

If you’re debating staying here… DO IT! An absolutely gorgeous site, could not fault it. Such a beautifully well kept site with brilliant, clean facilities. As a family with young children we loved the bathroom facilities and the little play area was an added bonus. A lovely, quiet site with lots to do in the local area.

We have recently returned from a cozy night's stay in the 'Hereford Room' at the fabulous Abbey Green Farm Bed & Breakfast. Hosts, Rose & Philip gave us such a warm welcome on our day of arrival. Set in such a tranquil rural location our well appointed room was spotlessly clean with a very comfy bed. Rose prepared an extremely tasty and fulfilling breakfast which set us up for the journey back home. This is a small family run bed & breakfast and a beautiful establishment. Special thanks to Rose for making our stay a memorable one. We will definitely return in the future!

We stayed at Abbey Breen Farm B&B for a weekend event in Whitchurch. The B&B was beautifully and tastefully furnished with a great mix of new and old furniture! Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with lovely natural bed linen and a delicious cooked breakfast, this high quality, high spec B&B is difficult to find fault with. Phil and Rose made us very welcome and we have absolutely no problem highly recommending this truly luxurious B&B.
Set in the countryside, we still had no problem getting an Uber service!
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Liz & Terry

We consisted of a group of 4 campervans, wanting to test out a campervan with our friends, and were delighted with this site.
As it was out of season, it was just us and another van for the weekend, so didn't have any issues with accessing the facilities which are of high standard and kept very clean. It felt very exclusive!
The site is in a lovely spot near Whitchurch so plenty of places to visit.
Rosie and Philip were very friendly and helpful at all times, and definitely check out the cabinet in the amenities area with lots of lovely handmade goodies.
Highly recommend and look forward to returning.
P.S. We loved campervan life and are proceeding with our plans to convert a van

The new Garden Tent was very lovely. Felt secluded and quiet, nice view of fields and trees nearby. I especially appreciated the apple and plum trees nearby, and some cider and fizzy water left in the fridge were extremely welcome after much cycling on a hot day!

Great facilities, Rose and Philip perfect hosts, wish I could have stayed longer.

Absolutely superb little spot near Whixall Shropshire, Rose the owner couldn't do enough. We had a great pitch by the little pond with lots of room for our bigger tent, seating and car. Good toilets and showers (2) and a portaloo when busy. Washing machine available (ÂŁ1.50) load and sink for washing up, Elson disposal, electric hook up if needed, a small play area attached to field for running around. Hamper available for essential s, afternoon tea (prebook) and bacon/egg rolls, delivered to your tent am(prebook) fabulous. Whixall charming marina with cafe, half hour walk, Aulderford lake fabulous only 7miles. Away, watersports, walks and cafe. Dog and Bull good Sunday lunch. Will defiantly,go back as more to explore and a lovely feel to the site, the, farmhouse also does B & B and hires vintage bikes. What more could you ask.
