Many hotels can boast spacious rooms with wonderful sea views, clean swimming pools with ample sun beds, and bars and restaurants with a varied menu of delicious foods and drinks. The Hotel Christina could boast all of these things but in my opinion it has something that many other hotels, regardless of their star ratings do not! This is exceptional customer service! The staff are welcoming, professional and do their very best to ensure your stay is perfect. A special shout out to Esme, Jason and Dam who were exemplary along with a lovely young woman who cleaned our rooms. Thank you all so very much for a wonderful holiday.
Great hotel on a hill with a beautiful view of the bay from St Helier to St Aubin, the restaurant in hotel is excellent we ate in it a couple of nights and had breakfast there every morning we also had a meal in the bar, all meals were excellent. All the staff were very good, very attentive especially the guy who serviced the rooms unobtrusive and very efficient. The hotel has a lovely pool area, and a great outside bar terrace with the views over the bay. Only downside is no AIr Con in bedrooms and a lot of steps because of its elevated position so wouldn’t be suitable for a wheelchair user. Altogether a lovely relaxing break would love to go back here.
Fabulous day n night for friends wedding, only complaint is 1 pillow to low,2 pillows to high and too soft, even though we had a fan in our room that we asked for,air on would have been more ideal otherwise 100% on everything, food was stunning and would come again
This hotel is in a lovely position, set back from the shoreline and at a height overlooking St Aubin Bay. The majority of rooms have balconies with a majestic view and are very comfortable. I was surprised that the supply of toiletries was basic. It is a short walk to the esplanade and beach but involves many steps. Generally the staff are very pleasant, efficient and courteous. We ate in the restaurant and bar a few times: the menu was varied and food good.
Hotel Christina is in a great location, elevated and facing out over the bay and practically all the bedrooms have sea views. The staff were super efficient and never once did we find any fault with them. The breakfasts offered a great variety of continental and full English as well as extras which you could order such as porridge and smashed avocado on sourdough. The Indigo restaurant had a good variety of courses on offer and was good value for money. The food was excellent and well presented
Fabulous hotel. The staff were amazing, really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Buffett breakfast is worth every penny. Lovely views from our room, we requested a balcony too. With a sea view. Comfy bed, lovely pool and the hotel provide pool towels. Will definitely return.
There were obvious quality and service issues since our previous stays which is very disappointing. Housekeeping was really poor. We stayed for 10 nights - not cheap! Unfortunately the carpets in the room weren’t hoovered once and on more than one occasion the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. The breakfast service wasn’t great and the food in the restaurant was the poorest meal we had from our stay on the island. Considering we have always returned here and always eaten here it was very clear for us to see the changes. Unless improvements are made we will not spend so much money in a hotel which isn’t cheap. Very sad to write this. On a positive note, the staff are very friendly and location is one of the best for visiting all places on the island.
Loved our stay. Lovely Views from restaurant and our room. Only down sides were no Aircon and no Fridge. Very lovely staff. Great buses going through St Lawrence. & a great bike hire about 20 minutes away.
Rooms very clean and very comfy bed. Although situated on a hill, as long as you've got a car it's no problem. Staff really very helpful and approachable. Pool excellent with great views over St Aubans Bay. Our balcony room overlooked the pool and the bay..beautiful! Room could have done with a ceiling fan and a fridge but this is more of an observation not a complaint and it was the record hottest weekend!!! The Hotel is just up on the hill overlooking St Aubins Bay so quite central and a great location for visiting the rest of this beautiful island.
Some aspects of the accommodation are a little dated, but you don't stay in your hotel room 24/7, having said that, there are also signs of some modernisation. Some may find the position of the hotel slightly challenging, via road there are no pavements, and access through the gardens is an uphill step challenge. If it wasn't for the stunning views, then this hotel would be absolutely average, but what makes this hotel is its staff, each one goes above and beyond in their role each day to make people's stay relaxing and enjoyable for them.
