We stayed in one of the rooms where they have a pool at the rooftop with a view of the ocean. The photos online really don't do it justice. The complex is extremely beautiful by day and romantic by night. Now, one of my favorites. Lastly, the service. Impeccable. Personal in so many ways. Little chocolates, hand written cards. Everyday was an experience. Price wise, it's definitely at the higher end, but if you can afford it, this place worth it!
We just got back from a family vacation (2 adults, 2 young adults and one GF) at RM. This is our 3rd time there but the first with the entire family. WE typically try new resorts and destinations…BUT I keep craving the RM….. It is my happy place! Reading all the other reviews, I agree with the majority of them. Now that we are home and slowly getting back to our reality, I have been thinking about what sets RM apart from the many lovely resorts out there? It is a tough question but I am going to say it is the management. Daniel, the GM is so present at the resort…whether he is just saying hi to you at the pool or dining with you on their special farm to table dinner or making Margaretta’s for everyone at the pool. All the senior staff know your name…and they are constantly checking in to make sure you have the best possible experience. In thinking about our other holidays, we only meet the manager when there was a problem. LOL! I think the food is good not great. Living in NY and being a food snob I can say that some meals were great and others just ok. But it really didn’t matter to us much because everything was so perfect and we were just so relaxed. The gym has two Peloton bikes with a tread and additional bikes on the way. This was a game changer for me. They are so much fun. All in all, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with their stay here. It is the real deal! I am plotting our next trip to Rosewood! …
We visit the Cancun area yearly and this was our first time at Rosewood Mayakoba. Everyone who works there is pleasant and helpful and were totally committed to making our time there a pleasurable as possible. The attention to detail was unparalleled and the grounds are spectacular. The best hues rancheros I've ever had and I highly recommend the tacos, tostados and ceviche at La Fondita. This was by far, the nicest place that we have stayed and would definitely return.
My 5 and 7 year olds have 1 week vacation for Thanksgiving. This year we ditched all of our family obligations and stayed for the first time at the Rosewood property. We are typically Four Seasons loyalists. But we heard great things! Also, we usually go to Hawaii but our kids have had a harder time with the jet lag so we tried Mexico. I absolutely loved this resort. We did not bring a nanny and kids are old enough to be in the club. Our set up was perfect in that they slept on a pull out couch and we had master bedroom. Service is outstanding. I love that it feels intimate and not commercial. You are limited in the number of restaurants so you may need to go to Fairmont or Banyan tree to try different restaurants. They had so many thoughtful details and a activities for everyone. They have beautiful sculptures of art, and they have a private garden with a small pizza wood fire oven in it for a private party. The kids club took kids there for lunch one day. There are movie nights for families that are very well planned and staged. Sometimes on the lawn or at the beach. The spa is excellent! The setting is very on the woods and nature oriented. There was a mayan horoscope lady that did fun readings. The gym is modern with great equipment and Peloton bikes! You can login with your account and they have shoes you can borrow as well to clip in. I'd come back here any day!…
This was our second visit to Rosewood Mayakoba and we were blown away. The property, staff, service, facilities, food, ambiance could not have been more impeccable. I worry that any other resort will pale in comparison and fall short of our expectations. There was nothing I would change about this property and our experience, except perhaps to make sure I make dinner reservations in advance when coming during a busy time (we were there during thanksgiving and the restaurants do get booked up).
