It was a great trip. So relaxing, great service. We already booked another trip for next April It was our first trip after pandemic, and we could not have had a better time. We were spoiled, taken care of, butlers anticipated our needs, no rushing, facilities were beautiful, and so many good dining choices. By far the best property in Mayakoba.

Hotel's Favourite
We booked our New Year’s week stay at the very strong recommendations of our travel agent and a few friends. Our high expectations were exceeded on every key dimension - service, food, facilities. Service - From airport pick-up to drop-off, throughout the stay, the team greets you by name and goes above and beyond to predict and support any needs/wants you may have. Some anecdotes include cold beers in the car on arrival, remembering your favorite orders and seats at the pool and each restaurant, dozens of personal touches and amenities (e.g. complimentary champagne delivered to your room while you’re getting ready for dinner, monogrammed pillow-cases, complimentary luggage packing so you can enjoy your last evening out). Most importantly, senior management is present and visible throughout the property and throughout the day, constantly following up (e.g. “How was your spa appt?” “How did your guests like their dinner last night?”). A non-exhaustive list of folks who made our trip exceptional includes Denisse, Frank, Daniel, Carlos, and Alexis; not including distinctive senior team as mentioned above. Food - We’re picky New-Yorkers and always a bit weary of resort food and beverage offerings, but were hugely impressed by everything we ate and drank. Highlights included more authentic and refined Mexican offerings at Al Fresco, tacos at Aqui Me Quedo (both the shrimp and ribeye tacos are life-changing), and the special La Ceiba dinner where one dines in and from the hotel’s garden. Of course, tequila is never in short supply and if you’re keen to learn about obscure and special producers the team is eager and well equipped to guide you. Facilities - Property is extremely well capitalized and maintained. The rooms have recently been fully remodeled and are modern and lovely. Gym, spa, pool areas - all fantastic. Two additional notes: 1. We were there for New Year’s Eve and the hotel’s celebration was magical, including beachside fireworks and live music and a festive parade in which each guest could participate. We normally avoid huge parties but this felt intimate, well-curated, and most importantly quite fun. 2. From a COVID-19 perspective, the hotel is very safe (e.g. staff masked at all times, guests masked except for while sitting at table/beach, everything sanitized, dining well spaced and outside, each guest suite its own standalone villas). In summary this is truly a world-class and exceptional experience; we are already planning our return visit.

Dear 360_degrees_traveler, We are very grateful to your travel agent and friends for the recommendations because if it were not for them, we would not have the opportunity to thank you for this exceptional TripAdvisor review! It means so much knowing that your circle, and now you, have so much faith in us. It is our privilege to host you in our home and exceed all expectations! Your high standards, keep ours ever higher, so thank you 😊 We love our New York guests! And are lucky to have many loyal New Yorkers returning to us year after year. We always appreciate your knowledge, feedback, and taste! Our culinary team puts a lot of time and effort into creating a menu that not only highlights the specialties of Mexican cuisine, but also showcases the fresh and local ingredients in original and classic dishes. And yes, when it comes to tequila or mezcal the team will never hesitate to share their favorites with you! Many thanks for your full overview of the property grounds and facilities. We are happy to know you enjoyed the special touches we had prepared for you throughout your stay. We really appreciate your taking the time to recognize several of our team members and the efforts of our management team. It was very thoughtful and means a great deal to the team! Rosewood Mayakoba is a magical place and there always seems to be a bit more magic around the holidays! It is wonderful that you were able to celebrate this New Year with and even more so that had fun and felt safe. How lucky are we to now have you as a part of the Rosewood Mayakoba family! We are so excited that you have already begun planning your next trip to see us and cannot wait to be together again in your new casa Mexicana. Muchas Gracias,

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Banyan Tree Mayakoba which is a sister resort in the Mayakoba complex. My husband, 3 daughters and I rode our bikes to Rosewood for the afternoon and were told we were not welcome in their pool, could not sit on the chairs and they would not even serve us a drink. We explained that we were staying at Banyan Tree, within Mayakoba, and all 4 resorts were supposed to have reciprocal amenities, but instead they stood five feet from us and talked into their headphones until we left, completely shocked and embarrassed in front of our grown children. It is a true black mark on the rest of Mayakoba, where we were treated amazingly once off the Rosewood property. Shame on them.

OK. This place is AMAZING. I don’t even know where to start. From the pick up at the airport to the concierge drop off at the airport security checkpoint, everything was top notch. We got a over lagoon suite and every morning waking up to the view of peaceful lagoon water was surreal. Also it seems like the staff is a step or two ahead of giving you what you want/ need even before asking for it. All of the FOOD is amazing. La ceiba was fun and we are glad we did it the first night bc we got to interact with the staff and other guests. It was a great first night ice breaker. I could’ve stayed all day at AQUI ME QUEDO. Also I felt like I was leaving a family member when we were saying goodbye to our butler Susie. Ramon is also great, he was always up to date on our needs. Susie was so sweet and was even already interacting with us as soon as we booked our stay. They def do a good job of not wanting their guests to leave, or making sure they’ll be back. We def are planning on coming back.

Another amazing experience at Rosewood Mayakoba, this place just keeps us coming back again and again. Top notch all the way, the service is what sets them apart from the rest, special thanks to the great staff who made our experience another memorable one, Ambar and Christian our Butlers were very accommodating and helped us throughout our stay with dinner and spa reservations, Jose Luis at the Beach was on top of everything and always making sure we had enough water, fresh towels and the best spot on the beach, Alejandra provided excellent service at Al Fresco/ Punta Bonita during a few of our dinners, she took the time to explain in detail the items on the menu, she had the best cocktail recommendations great service all around. Cecilia took excellent care of us at Casa del Lago and served amazing desserts at the dining experiences on the beach. Alfredo the restaurant manager made sure all of our dining experiences exceeded expectations, last but not least, Armando had the best attitude when driving us around the hotel and picking us up from our suite. The experience at the SPA was excellent, my therapist Lali gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Rosewood Mayakoba never disappoints, they have excellent practices in place during this times and you feel safe at all times, if you are traveling back to the US they have in-house Covid testing. Thank you for another amazing vacation, can’t wait to be back!
