Hotel's Favourite
Ok, this was an experience! I will try to cover as much as I can. Let me just start with the bad, and the biggest complaint I see in reviews. SEAWEED, there is NOTHING anyone anywhere can do about this. They have staff shoveling it off the beach before the sun rises. Mother nature brings it back faster than they can load it. The smell is a bit annoying but the bartenders seem like they are on a mission to keep you drunk so just drink and you wont smell a thing. If you can do without the ocean water you will be fine, if the beach is a must you can enjoy the sand or fight thru the seaweed OR walk a little under a mile and you'll be able to enter the water freely. Food: I am a vegan so I am always bothered by the lack of options, however this was NOT the case, I particularly enjoyed the buffet. We also dines at the Blue Moon which was super "fancy" but not quite my cup of tea. If you like to dress up and fine dine then this would be great. Room service is timely and tasty! They have the best ceviche I have eaten in YEARS. Activities/Entertainment ... I give them a 9/10 ... maybe because I wanted them to KEEP GOING lol ... I was booked into villa #12 which gave m e pool/beach access - perfect room, anything along 12 (10, 11 etc) are perfect but a walk back to the reception area, buffet and nightly entertainment. Great room, large enough bathroom and all the amenities with daily turn down service. The grounds are well manicured and every fifteen feet there's something to take a picture in front of Two pools, a calm one and of course the one with the swim up bar is party central. Did I mention the drinks will get you drunk? Not watered down AT ALL. The staff are all great. Now they will tell you when you check in, do not feed the animals - they are annoying but hey ... its the tropics .. .and I stomped my foot twice and they went about their business. I will DEFINITELY stay here again ... had a great time, HIGHLY recommend

Stayed here for 4 days and overall had a great trip. This was our first time here but have been to Mexico many times before staying at other resorts. I'll try to break down my thoughts into sections. Check-in: Easy. Took all of 5 minutes. Had to sign a few documents and away we went. We checked in around 2pm and our room was ready which was great. We also changed some larger bills (Pesos) into smaller bills at reception and it was never an issue. Room: Stayed in an ocean view room. Building 10. Room 1006 which is on the second floor. Nice view of the ocean, but it is very close to the pool. If you are into a quiet afternoon nap, stay away from the pool. Music is loud and there are lots of activities happening the afternoon so it won't be quiet. The room itself was very nice. The bed was comfortable although I was not a fan of the pillows, but that is a personal preference. My only two gripes with the room was that the chair was stained which was a bit gross because I have a feeling I know what the stain was (I won't be repeating it here) lol, and the water pressure was terrible. However we did always have hot water so that was great. Both are little issues and did not distract from a comfortable, clean room. Food: We ate at the buffet, the Italian and the Mexican restaurants. All are very good. I personally did not like my food at the Italian, but again that sort of thing is subjective, so take it with a grain of salt. I did notice at the main buffet that items that had run out were not replenished quickly at all. That would really be my only complaint on the food. Pools: Nice and clean. 2 pools at the resort. Quiet and party, although quiet is right beside the party pool, so not sure how quiet it would be! The party pool has a swim up bar. This is the pool where all the activities happen throughout the day. Both pools are clean and I saw staff vacuuming and checking the water chemistry every day. There was plenty of seating around both pools with umbrellas and we never had to have our towels on chairs at the crack of dawn to secure a seat which was great. This may be due to the resort not being at full capacity right now though. Lobby: Plenty of seating both indoors and outside. The lobby bar is great and this is where Mike's coffee shop is located. For some bizarre reason it doesn't open until 3pm. Coffee and Mike's is amazing! Best cappuccino ever. I found the seating in the lobby to be a bit worn and stained. There are white couches which obviously being white won't hold up over time and you can see they are not. Time to replace, but other than that, not negative to say. Staff: Like other reviews have stated it is the staff at this resort that really make it special. Never ran into a staff member that wasn't eager to help and very friendly. Please tip them generously when you go if you feel the same way! I found most staff that I interacted with spoke English fairly well, and some perfectly. Never had a language barrier. Beach: Didn't really relax or swim at the beach, but we did walk it a few times and it was very nice. Staff are out each morning raking up the seaweed (although there wasn't a lot during our stay) and raking the beach! Seriously, they were raking the beach everyday by hand. That seems crazy to me, but was a great touch. Covid: There seems to be plenty of daily cleaning at the resort. Wiping down high touch surfaces, etc. Entering a restaurant requires a digital temp check on the wrist and masks to be worn while not seated at your table. At the buffet you must wear a plastic disposable glove (provided) on your one hand you will be using to "scoop" your food. Seemed silly to me at first, but actually I think it is a great idea. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone. You will certainly enjoy yourself based on my experience here.

Great resort. The staff is really helpful and polite. The food is amazing. Lots of restaurant options inside the resort and all is well prepared and fresh. The premises are clean and well kept at all times. Pool is incredible and the beach of the hotel is small but very very pleasant. I would definetely recommend this resort.
