This is a lovely hotel with a lot to recommend it, but there are a few niggles that stop it getting top score. 1 Restaurants are all great food but difficult / impossible to book the times you want to eat, even though we booked for every night on the 1st day of our holiday 2 One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it offered free sailing, however the boat allocated for free sailing was ‘broken’ so we could only sail if we paid $50 for one of the other identical boats - we refused and complained but it was never resolved 3 The noise during the day from the Allegro hotel next door is ridiculously loud. Whilst this isn’t the fault of our hotel, it did impact on the enjoyment of our hotel On the positive side - Food is amazing, our favourite was breakfast in Spices and the Hibachi table in Azia There are plenty of beds, we particularly like the beach beds with little tents that provide proper cover from the sun if you need it Beautiful rooms and gardens Evening entertainment - we are not big fans of traditional hotel ‘entertainment’ but this had some different events that we really enjoyed. Silent disco was so much fun! Walking or cycling into Playa del Carmen was easy. Despite the minor niggles, we would highly recommend this hotel.…
This is a GREAT resort. It was our first time at a all inclusive in Mexico and it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are comfy and lovely, concierge Michelle rocked, she made sure we were booked on every night at a different restaurant and made sure our stay was memorable (she even decorated the room for my bday). Food was exceptional for an all inclusive (all restaurant are pretty amazing apart from maybe the grill which is the one to avoid if you can) The staff was amazing, all the pool server boys work soooo hard to make sure people get what they want, the entertainment is great cause it’s not constant as well (few hours of aqua fitness and a bingo) Seriously overall I loved it (and I didn’t know what to expect in a resort like this) It’s quieter cause it’s an adult only resort which makes a different. HIGHLY recommended!!!!! I would go back in a heartbeat. Only thing to know is that excursions with the hotels are soooo expensive and so is the spa. You can def find better deals somewhere else! Thanks royal hideaway we loved it. …
Stay as you are. Rooms are superb. Restaurants offer great variety. We love the location allowing us to walk to 5th Ave. My wife and I walked the beach every day. The evening entertainment ends by 10pm which is great with us.
This hotel has lost it's gloss with the new ownership. The food is so disappointing that it did ruin our stay. It was not as clean as it could be. The service was pretty poor and the hotel is not quiet, elegant or stylish
Small resort made of apartment villas that is good to spend a relaxing holiday in Playa del Carmen and is a good starting point for discovering the area around from Tulum to the grand senote. And the beach is great
