We went to 4 of 6 included eco parks, 5 of 9 restaurants, 1 of 3 ruins tours. Service is great! Food at the made to order stations and the authentic Mexican menu restaurant was great. Pools and mini beaches are beautiful. Outdoor fitness circuit is unique, they have Kayaking and SUP. There is a separate separate kids section, club, food section thankfully. I enjoyed almost every minute of 5 days except for check-in and the membership push. I will return.
This is an excellent hotel with top notch staff, room, food, and amenities. Location... It was nice to get to a great resort within a reasonable ride from Cancun. 45 mins went by quickly. Just a stones throw from Playa Del Carmen so off site visits are quick and easy if that is something you wish to do Rooms.... Our room was River View which was nice. I can only assume that Sea view would be incredible. Rooms were very clean, well appointed, bright and cheery. Staff... All the staff we encountered were happy and eager to please. Even when the lobby bar was busy the bartenders kept a smile on their faces . Housekeeping were great as well. Food... All food was good but extra point for the Mexican buffet who had great food and Mariachi bands during dinner. Entertainment... Great musicians played during the day including a harp player, piano player and guitar (amazing whistler!!) The Rock band we saw one night completely got the crowd going with all kinds of great music Beach... was small but very enjoyable Pool... clean and busy but tons of fun This place is pricey but truly worth the money…
This place is beyond amazing. We stayed here from Sept. 6th 2019 to Sept 14th 2019. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the hotel. They take care of everything you just have to decide what you want to do and schedule. The property is breathtaking and its so vast that it takes time to see everything. They have amazing restaurants and bars and pools. Everyone that we encountered was courteous and professional. All inclusive is exactly that at this resort. All the parks are included and shuttles run all day to the parks that are close. Its beautiful and was an amazing experience for us.
Disappointed that an “all inclusive hotel” makes u pay such a high price for WiFi when it should be included. I came for 14 days and over all had to spend 200£ on JUST THE WIFI ! My daughter wants to come back February 2020 however I will be asking about the WiFi as I refuse to spend such a ridiculous amount of money. When the hotel costed £1300 per person!
Hotel Xcaret is a 5-star hotel at a 5-star price - but worth the cost for many reasons. First, while there can be language difficulties with some serving staff (it is Mexico and Spanish is the language of the country), all staff go out of their way to make your stay at the hotel special. The hotel is for young and old, although the best value is for guests who will take advantage of the free admission to the many parks run by the hotel all of which cost at least $100 per person to visit. First, a special thank you to two people who went out there way to help me during a medical emergency - Doctor Mar, who quickly diagnosed the issue, summoned staff to help me and contacted the hospital(plus much more) and to Carlos Ortiz, the head of guest services who accompanied me to the hospital, stayed with me for 5 hours until I was able to return to the hotel. Both made a difficult experience much better and enabled me to enjoy the rest of my vacation at the hotel after getting the needed treatment. I will start with a few negative comments. A better map of the enormous hotel grounds would be appreciated as it is easy to get lost using the map provided by the hotel. The pools are amazing, but the water is not heated so can be cold. While even when the hotel is packed, it is never that busy due to guests going to the parks except at breakfast and dinner - often lineups (in particular the buffet Mercado). On restaurants, the 3 best must be reserved - we were able to reserve 2 of the 3 the first morning at the hotel. So book your excursions and restaurants ASAP. Finally, the Mexico Destination Club presentation that will be recommended by your concierge. While I have heard of worse, it is a 2 1/2 hour hard sell (not the 90 minutes they tell you in advance) of a vacation club that may or may not be a good deal. Although I did not care for this experience - the sales staff having trouble accepting a NOT INTERESTED - my wife and daughter did greatly enjoy the two complimentary massages that were given as promised for attending the presentation. As stated above the grounds are amazing, the garden view room we had was clean with comfortable beds and excellent housekeeping service. You call the front desk and the request will be fulfilled within 10 minutes. Overall the food is very good even the buffet Mercado. We had a number of meals at the beach restaurant Las Playas - great food and location. On our last night we were able to get a 9 pm reservation at Los Cuevas - the restaurant in the beach area caves - amazing food and staff - in particular our waiter, Ishmael who turned our meal into a special occasion. They even have a vegan/vegetarian restaurant - Bio! Overall, Hotel Xcaret is a great vacation destination experience that starts when the hotel bus picks you up at the airport (no need to take a multi-hotel tour company bus), continues after check in (we were lucky and were were able to complete most of the check in on the mini bus on our way to the hotel) but unfortunately it ends too quickly. .…
