This is a long overdue review, but I’m at another resort now in Puerto Vallarta that we are not happy with, and it makes me long for the Grand Velas experience! The Grand Velas Riviera Maya was an excellent family vacation spot! I tried to find the BEST family-friendly all-inclusive, and I think we found it here. The individual restaurants were excellent, the room service food wasn’t great but at least we found great food by the pool or at the individual restaurants. The alcohol was actually top shelf and most restaurants had wine lists with great choices. Each room came with small but important luxuries— slippers, robes, beach bags, beach hat, snacks and treats, a mini bar that they restocked everytime they cleaned your room. Our room was huge with a pool on the large patio overlooking the ocean. The rooms were luxurious with great bedding and towels, fresh flowers in vases. The overall vibe and look of the place was grand and rich feeling. The ocean was beautiful... the beach was just OK but still much better than beaches on the pacific side of MX. The staff and level of service was beyond excellent, they were all dressed to a T, the managers were very hands-on, and the staff was constantly checking in on you by the pool... I think that was the most impressive part. People knew our names everywhere we went and made us feel totally welcome and at home. We met great people at the resort, as well. Louis and other staff by the pool were the best. The SPA was outstanding and I loved my massage and all the hot/cold pools (it’s a Forbes “top 30 spas in the world” so it really is amazing!) I really would have no problem going back to this resort over and over again, I get 3 breaks per year from my job and even though I love to travel to lots of different places, I would go here over and over again.... I wish all resorts would use the Grand Velas as the standard for a top-rated all inclusive resort! Thank you for setting the bar so high and for exceeding our expectations— that hardly ever happens for me, and I was so happy with this experience and still think about it today!…
We traveled as a family of 12 with 3 generations and 5 children between the ages of 18 months to 11 years. There were multiple activities for every age, delicious fresh food always available, and impeccable, beautiful, large rooms and public areas. The huge pool and the proximate beach provided endless entertainment and activity. The staff was especially pleasant and competent at every level. They sincerely smiled and assisted the guests at every opportunity. Overall, our experience was outstanding.
The best all inclusive resort in Mexico! The food is outstanding the service is fantastic! Awesome kids club and great staff. Nice pool areas, mini golf was fun! The only thing that is not perfect is the beach area. Great for kids since they put up barriers to stop the waves but it doesn’t give you the perfect ocean views you would expect! Definitely would go back!
We visited Grand Velas over Christmas week. There were seven of us - grandparents, parents, aunt and two teens. Everyone had a fabulous time. The staff were excellent, the property is simply beautiful and extremely well-maintained, the food was delicious and there was always something to keep people entertained (or not!) We stayed in the Ambassador section and were so very pleased with the spacious rooms. We enjoyed breakfast most days at Azul and often had lunch by the pool. Dinners were a highlight, our favorites being Piaf and Sen Lin. The spa was extensive and indulgent. The water ceremony was a "must do" and the massage was great. The staff at the pool (where we spent a great deal of time) were fantastic. Huge shout out to Nora and her team. She made us feel like family, even sharing some inside jokes by the time the week came to a close. We are not huge all-inclusive fans, but the Grand Velas was a win for everyone in our group. It's not easy to please seven people but they made it seem almost effortless. Thank you Grand Velas for a wonderful holiday!!!…
Mexico has a lot to offer, and some like to traps around to see various resorts. My holiday time is limited as I travel constantly. The Grand Serenis Riviera Maya is a place I choose to vacation. It is an all inclusive, and we are top level members, so enjoy the benefits that one with such a status- an amazing ocean front Beach Club - we also enjoy the benefits of an amazing day long Kids Club that does a wonderful job of entertaining their "customers" The location is great for day trips into Tulum or Playa DelCarmen. It is close to Xcaret - which is a must if never seen. The food is a mix of specialised restaurants as well as. diverse buffet daily. Excellent Japanese food- Mexican and Italian plus a host of others. I hurt my foot on the coral and an onsite Medial clinic took great care of the injury and it is did not greatly affect my holiday. There are nightly shows that are really entertaining and offer great talents To me this is the first choice you should make. If you want to experience a holiday here, I am willing to extend an invitation to introduce it to you- and the best aspect of the Serenis, the Concierge system is fantastic and mine- Oscar is outstanding. So reach out if you need more info. Grand Serenis Riviera Maya is a top class resort…
