Wonderful New property
I choose this hotel since it’s part of the World of Hyatt membership awards program for a recent stay over New Years! I was very impressed with the cleanliness, attention to detail and quality of the property. The property is newly built in 2016 and has many new fixtures that demonstrate a new property such as waterfall shower & bath after a long day/ night.The property has US electrical outlets for convenience. The pool is great but the location of the beach is fantastic allowing you to enjoy the beaches without over-paying at expensive beach clubs. The hotel offers daily tequila taste testing administered by a wonderful & energetic bartender named Alex who goes the history of the tequila and describes the process of creation and how to properly pair the drink with food. Annelila and the rest of the front desk staff are very nice and helpful with all requests. I would certainly return. The main bus stop is 4 streets away and offers for only $85 MXN transportation to /from airport. Guests also have access to the other Thompson properly located just 2-streets away (last 2-pics). However i found the beach house was quieter and more tranquil with just 33 rooms. …

Oustanding hotel and best staff Paya.
I highly recommend this hotel. The overall experience was A++ The entire staff went above and beyond in ensuring my family were enjoying their stay. Nadia, Horacio, Marcos, Alejandrina, Samia and Zaira are some examples of colleagues that made this stay a special one for us. Happy New Year and keep up the great job.

Very good boutique hotel
As a Hyatt member, we booked Thompson Beach House in Playa. The rooms were big, modern, overall very good. Hotel staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. Especially, Rafael was very helpful in helping to take up to ferry. If we were to come back to Playa and stay in the town, no question this would be where we stay again. Minor complaints: - Location is heart of town, beach is small, not private, and water is muddy (I would recommend staying in Tulum) - main reason it's not a 5 star rating - Beach service can be quite slow - Gym is not at the Beach House, but the Main House, so really no gym

We spent a great week at this hotel. Beautiful location and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It's situated right on the beach and is close to but out of earshot from the Main Street. Special mentions to Roberto, Angel, Jorge, Alan and Raul. Highly recommended. We'd love to go back.

Beautiful Hotel, Terrific Staff
While the hotel itself is gorgeous, the staff is what makes this property awesome. Raul, Lezlie, and their team did everything to ensure our vacation was perfect. They helped us arrange taxis. They helped us arrange tickets for Xcaret. They surprised our daughter with an 11th birthday treat. And last but not least, when my wife lost her phone in our taxi, they called the taxi company, called Xcaret, and ultimately helped us locate her phone. This is the perfect example of what outstanding customer service looks like.

What is the size of the fridge in the junior suite ?

We’re flying into the Cancun airport.... what options are there to get to the Thompson Beach House from there. Any idea on cost?
Are there grocery store/convenient stores walking distance to buy extra waters or items not available at the Beach House hotel? Certain flavor if beer etc etc Is that allowed to be brought to your room if so?
Dear Jcarter24, Yes, there are grocery & convenient stores 5-10minutes walking from the Hotel, Thompson Main & beach House are located on the heart of Playa del Carmen. Is it allowed to bring water & drinks to your room however are not allowed at the public areas such to the restaurant, pool & beach. Looking forward to welcome you soon!
