I had a blast at the Hacienda Tres Rios for the past Week. The food was amazing and there were so many activities to do! I Wish I had more time to do more, but there is always next time. Shout out to Diego for teaching me how to kayak. I had a lot of fun!
The staff is very friendly and attentive. Check in was an ease with Pamela. We arrived hungry and late at night. She literally ran to the restaurant to keep them open for our late night meal. Our kayak tour through the mangroves with Jaime was informative and immensely enjoyable. He was funny and just adorable. Our bike tour with Alex was leisurely, scenic, educational, and very pleasant. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the balconies with the jacuzzi tubs are romantic and perfect for every couple. The only reason I don’t give this resort a 5 star rating is the food. It’s good, mostly. We have had some meals that are quite tasty and others that are barely edible. If you’re a foodie find another resort. Else wise I recommend it in every other aspect
The atm machine is in some elusive place and wasn't available the entire week of our stay. So if you need cash for tips or just didn't want to your card, sorry. Otherwise you'll never be bored or hungry. If you come with cash the bellman can help with USD change and the front desk can help with changing pesos. Okay eat at Hacienda Grill breakfast or lunch sit where Jessica is serving. Jonathan will keep you in stitches on the Segway. Alex knows how to play everything. Diego and Gerry are sweet and will answer questions after the tour (Kayak and Bike) Sense adventure is inspiring stay low when they say stay low. Missed snorkeling with Jaime but got to enjoy the pool tournaments with him and he did the intros to beverage tastings with Ivan. The whole team including Yair we met at Fiesta Friday we didn't expect to see them all other than their off days all week! And of course we had the best concierge Luis. Can't forget Octavio he knows the best drinks at the Asian restaurant. But be aware of small portions. Abrijeo is not always open but do eat there. Portobello is nice but service was slow so we didn't return. Casas las Islas is open every meal buffet except dinner on themed nights. Oh if you don't like wildlife randomly showing up then a resort surrounded by a Nature Park is not for you it was beautiful and entertaining.…
This resort need a lot of maintenance and a decent entertainment, bees are to small and mattresses are very old and uncomfortable, the beach area is dirty and you are not able to swim and is to far from Playa del carmen and taxi charge 21 dollar for one single rate so to go out of this resort is about 42 dollars verryyy expensive3
The hotel itself is very lovely, surrounded by secluded and peaceful nature. The rooms are large and the beds are comfy. All of the staff are happy and really friendly. We felt a bit sad saying goodbye to everyone at the end of our trip. I highly recommend saying hi to Raul on the beach and taking a trip out on the hobiecat!
