We were coming back from Isla and didn't want to get up super early for our flight so we booked ahead for a room. It was very modern and super clean! The shower worked really well with instant hot water. They efficiently designed a coffee pot shelf, microwave and refrigerator in a neat stack giving us more room to move around. We ate at the restaurant for dinner. Food was good and wasn't all Mexican choices. I left off a star because they forgot my order and my spouse and those around me had already eaten! They offer a complimentary breakfast which was very nice. The shuttle (appreciated) was about a 20 minute wait. We would return.
Our hotel rooms were a little over $100 per night. At that price point I’m just expecting clean rooms (which they had) and the hotel staff was very nice. Main hiccups came with the free transfer from airport. The wait times vary so much. We had 3 different groups. 1 group only waited 15 min(not bad) the other group waited an hour for the shuttle and the 3rd group waited about 20 min for the first shuttle only to be told they couldn’t board because the person they originally called did not add their name to the pickup list so they had to wait another 30 min for the shuttle. The restaurant food was good and very reasonably priced but took a long time for food to come out after we had ordered it.
Overnight stays coming and going to Holbox Island was spent at this hotel. It has a shuttle, but I planned through our travel company website to hire a car service. The flight came in later than normal and I was afraid of snafus. Don't plan on arriving without knowing your ride to the hotel options. Just a few minutes from the hotel, we were greeted by John Russell at the front desk. He was worried about his English, but he spoke to us with out flaws. In no time we were in our very comfy hotel room. The room service is 24 hours...yea. After a hot shower, and great room service sleep was effortless. On our return we stayed here once more. This time we panicked everyone trying to find us a COVID 19 test for our flight home to the US. The staff made a few calls and a MD showed up and we were cleared in a couple of hours. You scan the results over to the airline and they clear you. Our flight was at 7AM, so timing was not right to wait around for the clinic at the airport to open. Would I stay here again? For sure.…
we recently spent the last nigt of our trip to Isla Mujeris at the Courtyard near airport. We were dropped off by CARM so did not use the hotel for airport pickup. We did use the hotel shuttle to airport the morning of our flight and had no problems securing seats or with the driver.We arrived at the hotel around 3PM and at that time were promptly checked in. The room had a nice firm mattress and room itself had been updated. The carpet in the hallway was very dated and needs a refresh. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and did have a very long wait for our food. When finally delivered meal was very good. The hotel has a very inviting courtyard with a good size poll and hot tub and several places to sit and enjoy the outside. The room was noisy but okay for one night. I did not care for the breakfast selections and the coffee was awful. We would stay here again for one night if in the area.…
I came to check in Cancun at a courtyard Marriott, and the front desk is rude, unhelpful, slow, and incompetent. Waiting to check in, with a line of more than 20 guests, there was only one employee. The other employee came out and no apologies were made to everyone waiting. They would not allow me to email over a simple form for my rate. They made me go to a business center to print it. I asked if we could start the process then I would get the form, that I showed him, so he knew I had it. They said no. Then they took someone else behind me and made me wait again. John and Alessandra at the desk were horrible. They didn’t ask what brought us in to Cancun. They didn’t tell us to have a nice stay. They didn’t even direct us to the elevator and tell us about any facilities in the hotel. This was the worst check in I’ve experienced and THIS IS MY FIRST TIME IN CANCUN, and MY FIRST STOP. I would NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN…
