My brothers wedding brought me to Dreams Vista but the incredible staff will keep me coming back! Our room was great and concierge helped us tailer it to our tastes and our housekeeper Lucillme kept it as on point as her fire makeup! She noticed our quarks and kept us in comfort all week. The entertainment team was a game changer to our stay. From Zumba, water aerobics, karaoke or Mariachi night they were always helping keep up the good times. Special thanks to Erik and Brian! They became genuine friends. Rubi, Chris, Daniela, Henry, Moses + Jess- you guys are amazing! You made the morning swim the best part of an epic day every day. Jorge bartended the wedding and made sure I never needed to wait for a refill. Special thanks to - Erik and Bryan <3 Jesus at at the infinity pool! Benjamin was clutch with a last minute request for the grooms men. Susana who helped us book our tour to Chichen Itza and holy crap was it incredible! Ana - who made our spa visit 🔥🔥🔥 Carlos +Noe in the premium bar - way to crush it. Reynaldo - you literally dove out of the background of a picture we were trying to get. Seriously you went above Marlena - thank you for keeping us in thriving at the world cafe every time. Erica - helped us with an unorthodox toast when we all got to the shuttle on time. So so so many more I didn’t get the names written down. Thank you all 💚💙 A few tips to fellow travelers to - Get your change for tips all at once from the front desk. It’s saves so much time. Go premium - it’s hella worth it. We didn’t but we should have asked for a second porch comfy chair to watch the sunrises. The mini buffet at the premium bar is the best one there for quick bits or snacks to pack. Explore the pillow menu Do hibachi one night. Our cook was incredible but I lost his name. With premium do the free spa treatment on your last morning and leave feeling like a marshmallow.…
Stayed here for 2 weeks with my partner, in January. It was the ideal relaxing break. Yes, it is true: the beach is small, the hotel is far from the hotel zone (approx $80 return taxi ride), things wind down pretty quickly in the evening, and it can be windy. However, the food, drink, staff and amenities were perfect. Come here if you want a relaxing time by the pool, with a good choice of restaurants and great drinks. Try somewhere else if you want a large white sand beech, and a lively night time atmosphere.
Staff & service was great! food was poor at best. Portions were pathetically small. Hotel didn’t have a good vibe all together. I wouldn’t recommend. Layout is awful. If any party is happening during your stay you can forget about a peaceful dinner… all & all not the best experience we have had. Much better off staying in the hotel zone if going to Cancun
We went to dreams for a friends wedding. Trip guy assisted us with booking etc which was great! It was a large group of people. First of all the wedding was beautiful, held in the palapa over the water. The reception was held outside, the DJ was excellent. The dance floor was super fun, the buffet food was excellent with lots of Options. Great service etc. as a guest/someone in the wedding party I would recommend it for a wedding. In general, we typically pick adult all inclusives. However, the dreams hotel exceeded our expectations. Bear in mind it is a high-rise and does not have a sprawling resort feel which is different than a lot of other resorts. Everything is close by though, which is very convenient, do not have to walk far to get places, very compact resort. We had an ocean view master suite which was amazing, the room had a living room, 2 bathrooms and a plunge pool on both sides of the balcony. The walls were all windows with direct ocean view. Would highly recommend that level room. That room was part of the preferred club, which gave you access to the rooftop adults only pool. The pool was excellent, we had a large group, and the service up there was phenomenal. We had Jesus and Fernanda helping us and they were the best. One pool complaint is, if you wanted to lay in the sun, without being in the pool, there were not many spots to do so, this would be a con for me if I wasn’t with a large group physically in the pool. All of the drinks were good. As far as the food, we did the new vista prime restaurant for dinner twice and it was really good food. However, the service was just OK, a lot of things did not come out as requested. we tried hibachi which was fun. Had the blue water grill for lunch by the pool which was quite good especially for lunch food. Had the buffet for breakfast, no complaints. The room service menu is somewhat small but it’s convenient. Have definitely seen better. The check in process in the preferred club was extremely slow, this should be improved.…
They provided a great experience during our stay. Food was excellent as we rried a variety of options. We really appreciated their hospitality and will definitely see Daniel Mi Lucrecia and the team at the restaurant again.
We're a family of 4 - parents and 2 boys aged 5 and 3. And for vacation, I'm carefully checking kids club reviews. I'd like to talk about Explore's club later. and share my honest opinion, but first about the hotel itself. Pros: The main asset of this hotel is food. Oh my God! Delicious everywhere. Even the buffet is really good. Always tasty, fresh, and not oily. All the restaurants are above and beyond. You have to try the steak restaurant on the 16th floor, it's a new one, not quite explained it's there. But, for the amazing things, it is pretty much it. For the cons I have to mention a few things: First of all, whoever planned the rooms never slept in one. On one hand, it's new and nice - but the features don't work together. The shower has a glass "window" into the room. And the bathroom has a motion sensor. So, if you'll going to the bathroom during the night, and some of your family members are sensitive to light will wake up, just because of the light (that you can't turn it on cause it's the sensor). In general, all the bathroom unit is awful. There is no "door" to the sink area, and there are 2 doors to the toilet and shower. But they didn't put any privacy locks. So, If you're travelling with little kids - they will just open your toilet door because it just can't be locked. And last, but not least for the bathrooms - amenities like shower gel and shampoo are so low quality, There is no conditioner at all. I've visited other resorts that are trying to put brand stuff at least for the first night, but here - just the cheapest one. One more point to think of: Before we visited resorts and not just one-building hotels. FOR US it felt not cozy enough, you don't have a place you can actually walk. Kids experience and Kids Club: As I've mentioned before - we have 2 kids aged 3 and 5. I can mention 3 good things about the club: friendly stuff to kids (not all the time to parents), the facility is brand new and fun, and the last one is open till 10 pm (other hotels usually operate till 5). But You have to be ready to fit your schedule into the club schedule. The first thing is that the hotel website says the kids club is open from 9 am to 10 pm. This is a lie twice: a) it opens at 9:30 (but ok, let's say it's a typo b) 9:30-10:30 and 5-6 pm there is a thing called "family time. So you HAVE to be there with your kids at those times. I don't know about other kids, but I can say definitely about mine - I have to enter with them ONCE and they won't stay alone anymore ever again. So, that makes kids club ACTUAL time 10:30 am -5 pm. And 6-10 pm. But it is just the beginning... The website claims the kids club is from age 3 y.o. (and this was the MAIN reason for us to pick this hotel). But when we check in the kids for the first time we discovered that they have a pretty strict daily schedule, and outside activities are not permitted for kids 3-4, So it means, I can't leave my kids in the club and I have to take them from there each time the stuff is taking the kids to the pool, or to the beach etc. So it definitely won't work for kids 3 y.o. They don't have enough stuff to split (one group is going to the water park) and one is staying. No. So, again you have to check out your kid for those activities (due to age or if you just simply don't want your kid to go with the group. No option to keep them there anyway). I have to mention, that just once the group didn't go to the beach and they decided to stay, but you never know what is actually going to be like, and you have to plan your time, which is such an annoying thing on vacation. Furthermore, lunch and dinner time - again, if you don't want your kid eating with the club you have to follow the schedule. In the evening they usually have a movie night (8 pm to 10 pm). It worked for us, but keep in mind, it can be in Spanish or English. If your ok with screen time to get some time without a kid - it's ok. But one the night they took the kids to the "Show". It's very loud for my kids, they won't really listen. And we had to take them from the club. And again, we didn't really send them to the club then it's convenient for us, we had to follow their timelines, ***Would not recommend this kids club, despite the nice stuff.*** When we managed to keep them there they had lot of fun, crafts, etc. The staff is nice, and they even gave us a present to keep the kids busy on the plane on the last day. It was nice, but unfortunately, the overall experience is to follow their schedule. Regarding the water park I know it depends on the season, but keep in mind that the water is way colder than the other pool because it's mostly in the shadow of the hotel. There were bright sides too, but the concept of this kids club just killed all the good that Vista can offer. …
We stayed at Dreams Vista the first week of 2023! We were members of the preferred club which allowed us to check in at the preferred club lounge and got our room quickly. Additionally the preferred club helped us arrange 2 rounds of golf, book 2 massages and hydrotherapy circuits, and how to get on the ferry to the isla mujeres, dinner reservations at the Japanese restaurant. Highlights- accommodating and friendly staff that was always ready to help, golf course next door was incredibly convenient, morning yoga on the dock, preferred club bar, spa services, adult roof top pool (shrimp tacos on lunch menu were delicious!), incredible views, smaller resort with elevators, completely separate kids pool and activity area, photographers on sight were amazing, and la plaza lunch buffet Low-lights - food was expected for a resort, could have been the time of year but it was VERY windy (understandably uncontrollable), isla mujeres was ridiculously busy and loaded with vendors just trying to get you into their stores to buy trinkets, and the beach was underwhelming Staff shout outs- Roof top pool Jesus, Fernanda, and Gissel: whenever we asked “is it possible to __________” the response was always “anything is possible” and they would fulfill our request to the best of their ability. They also were quick to keep our drinks full and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every second Preferred club bar Carlos makes the best classic margarita!! We truly enjoyed our week long stay, and will definitely be there again!…
We had a very good experience during our stay at the Vista Dreams Cancun hotel on New Year's weekend. In general, all the hotel staff is very attentive, and friendly. Always making sure to fulfill the guests' needs. On this occasion, special thanks go to all the staff at La Plaza Restaurant, beginning with the Captain, Mr. Salvador Hernandez. I describe him as the perfect leader for any team, he was always more than attentive to all his team and all the guests arriving at his restaurant, his team members Jesus, Candido, Hervert and Santiago were very attentive every day we were at the hotel. Also the guys at La Terraza bar Bryan, Jason & their co-workers they're very very good too, great drinks, good times, good memories. All you need on a good Vacation. Thank you so much all of you guys! You're great!…
Everyone was excellent at this resort. Often the staff lacks in service or friendliness but here everyone was top notch. Jesus T. At bellhop at arrival and departure. Hector and Carlos at the preferred club bar. Daniel and a lady that serviced our Room. Alfonzo the mini bar man, and many more people. Loved it! The buffet at dinner time isn’t as grand as some other resorts we’ve visited over the years but it covers the bare basics. Room service menu is above average and restaurant options are great. There was unfortunately a lot of wind at any floor. It’s the area but also a bit the time of the year. We didn’t get to enjoy the plunge pool in the master suite because the side of the building (ocean side) never received sun in January. For later in the year the master suite is a great option. The plunge pool suite which we initially booked looked great too but due to the wind the plunge pool wouldn’t be as enjoyable. Overall a great resort owned by a quality brand (AMR) and now part of Hyatt as well. Great experience overall largely thanks to the excellent staff and training.…
We don't usually write reviews, however we had to take the time after our 12 night stay at the Vista. This hotel lives up to its name (Vista meaning View). The views are amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, but what makes it truly amazing is the people who work there! Right from the moment we checked in with Montse Paxtian. This young lady always greated you with a smile and willingness to help you with any needs or concerns. Thank you Montse! We spent most of our time at the rooftop pool and this is where we were looked after by Gissel, Jesus, Fernanada, Alexi and Adrian. This crew honestly became family to us! Their professionalism, fun loving personalities and attention to detail were second to none!! Gracious mis amigas/amigos. Overall, we have nothing but good things to say about this resort! We have travelled to Mexico for 30 years and this resort ranks at the top. Thank you all for making our anniversary that much more special by being you! We will be returning....soon!…
