Our family vacation with 2 kids 14 &16. We had a great time in HZ. Amazing place. Excellent food and service at all places, specially at the pool. I wanted to say thank you to Carlos, Gonzalo, Omar, Gorge, Oliver for great service and the warm welcome. My concern was with the TEEN CLUB closed at 9PM. each night after dinner my kids were bored because they didn't know what to do.
I absolutely recommend Hyatt Ziva to anyone looking in Cancun. From checkin, stay, food, spa, pool, amenities, activities and checkout, this resort is the best. There is so much to do and the atmosphere is amazing. I am coming back for sure
very excellent service. many food choices. food at restaurants was very good. brewery on site if u like craft beer. all the drinks are good and beach service was excellent. it is a bigger resort but you can still find places if u want peace and quiet. very good service throughout the resort
Just one of the best hotels we've ever been!!! Very close to perfection, from our point of view. The only thing we didn't like was that the buildings are to massive, to much concrete on sq meter. Thank you for a great vacation!!!
Our family- two boys ages 10 and 13, two parents in their 40's, and a set of grandparents in their mid-to-late 70s, spent a FANTASTIC week at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun. It was our 5th All-Inclusive stay in the past 4 years, and, without question, the BEST property we have ever visited. (Royalton Riviera Maya was nice for a first-time family trip. Valentin Imperial Maya was fantastic for adults-only and we LOVED it. Barcelo Maya Grand was HORRIBLE- with bedbugs. GROSS.) We had 3 rooms in the Pyramid building- all on the 5th floor with amazing ocean views. The rooms were incredibly clean with maid service twice daily. In addition, they were super sound proof. When Hyatt Ziva says "ocean views" they mean it! It would be a perfect spot for anyone traveling with small children who has to spend time in the room during naps. (See photos) The food was THE BEST, most varied and diverse and creative- we have experienced in Cancun and Riviera Maya. We LOVED the fruit cart, taco truck, paella pan of langostinos and more that were all served poolside. The coffee shop, sportsbar, 24 hour cafe, Moods, and CANDY STORE(!) are all brilliant additions to the typical all-inclusive experience and made all members of our family very happy. On our final night I asked my 10 year old what his favorite thing about our trip had been, and he quickly answered, "The staff." I had followed a Hyatt Ziva fan page on FB and read rave reviews, but the staff, in their treatment to all 6 of us, exceeded my expectations. We took full advantage of the activities- run by Jesus and Astor and attended Sunrise Yoga Aqua Cycling Aqua Strong (on floating paddle boards in the pool- see photo) Aqua Zumba Ziva games Water Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Astor is a class act and excellent instructor- She makes sure her students are safe and having fun. Jesus is the Captain of Fun Times at Hyatt Ziva- an amazing young man who went out of his way to include my sons---even if they were the only kids to show up for beach volleyball. Hyatt Ziva is lucky to have Astor y Jesus y Paul. We arrived on New Years Eve and ate an incredible meal at El Mercado. This buffet is fantastic and far surpassed any other all-inclusive buffet. There's even a section just for kids. We also loved Mexican Night at El Mercado. There was amazing live music and more food options than we could ever tackle. We LOVED not having to deal with the nonsense of dinner reservations as we had at the Royalton and horrible Barcelo. Only once did we have to wait on a table for 6. Excellent staff members of note: Allan y Pierro at Bar del Mar were wonderful to my youngest son who lives for fun drinks when in Mexico. They were gracious and kind. Esperanza y Omar were great servers at the pool. Martin & Jesus at MoonGate were EXCELLENT servers and we ate there 3 times during our 7 night stay. Loved the spring rolls and dessert sushi. Antonio at El Mercado was fantastic to us, making Mexican night even more fun. And Guadalupe, making churros and scooping ice-cream, is a SAINT. The entire staff at Chevy's were SUPER. Quick with lunchtime burger orders. Josephat, Jesus, Astor, Paul, Roberto- All TOP-Notch entertainment staff At Tradewinds- Sofia, the manager, Eunice, the hostess, and Paulo, our server, spoiled us. The bread and dipping oils at lunch are buenissimo. The staff at the candy store, Pastilles, are WONDERFUL. The guys working in the food trucks do a phenomenal job in a small, hot space. What could be improved: SHADE solutions. The Bali Beds were comfortable- but did not provide comprehensive shade. The umbrellas on the beach by Habaneros were great- but that beach is super crowded with 3 dense rows chairs and umbrellas and not a place you want to spend a day. Fliers with Activities: We would have loved a flier when we checked in with the weekly events and activities printed on it. Latin Show: I would not call this Family Friendly. Watching the Latin Show- if felt a bit like we were at a Bachelor Party. Or in Vegas. The Circus Show was great. Breakdancing and Michael Jackson were fun. Would love to see a Mentalist or Magic show added to the mix. In Summary: The location is fantastic, the weather was perfect, the facility has everything you could ever need, the staff are phenomenal, and from leaving the property to getting to our gate at the airport took only 1 hour. Our holiday week at the Hyatt Ziva exceeded ALL of my expectations. My children had a blast, my parents loved it, and we will return again in a heartbeat.…
