Overall, most of the stay was nice and very comfortable. Senor Juan and also Senor Chava, the two Daytime staff were always kind, helpful and very pleasant to be around. There were a few issues during this stay. One of the maid's and mantenance staff were really brave to knock on the door and disturbed the peace, even when the "Do Not Disturb" sign was hanging on the door, at all times during the stay. Unfortunately, the main Night Waiter was very disrespectful to the Guest at certain times. All these issues were addressed to Management for corrective actions to be taken, as needed.
We stayed here for two days and one night. We had a great room. The room was clean, safe, and big! The staff was welcoming and breakfast was satisfying. For a first visit in Guadalajara, I am pleased this is where we stayed.
We love to visit Zapopan and we decided to stay in a small hotel this time. The property is beautiful with beautiful grounds. There is no pool but was not a deal breaker for us. It is located in a beautiful, quiet, clean, neighborhood and close to many of the fine locations you want to visit while in the Guadalajara area. Rooms are comfy and restful. The service is top notch and they can get you just about anything, just ask. The free breakfast was delicious and with many items to choose from. Dinner, I would venture out. The menu is small and I hate to say it, but seemed like everything was frozen. The vegetables were soggy, the pasta dry and the chicken beaten into a thin, tasteless breast of chicken with a Ragú type sauce. It was not good but we just went with it. Everybody has an off night and unfortunately, it was ours. I will definitely visit again and do recommend it. I did love the bathroom products. I am a bath and beauty formulator and was impressed with their products. Hope to visit soon!…
The property is beautiful. However, my room wreaked of mold and humidity. In addition, I spent 5 nights here. By the third day, I noticed housekeeping did not leave shampoo, nor clean washcloth and hand towel. I decided to let it go, and not make a fuzz. The night before I checked out, I left the front desk know I was leaving early the next morning. At that time they hit me with a $14usd charge for a towel I had allegedly stained and it would not wash. I paid the penalty and took the towel (after all, I'd paid for it!) and they proceeded to explain that is why no additional toiletries had been left in my bathroom. I was pretty upset, since all they had to do was speak to me, instead of waiting until the last day of my stay, to discuss it.
La Mansion del Sol is a boutique hotel located in a quiet, upscale residential neigjborhood. It feels more like a magnificent home with beautiful gardens and very attentive hosts to make your stay nothing short of magnificent! Its location is perfect, providing easy access to both the city center and popular outlying areas, such as Andares and Providencia. We would highly recommend it!
