Don't let the exterior scare you away. At first glance it appeared to be a discount venue for a discount price. We were greeted by Marco and immediately felt the hospitality. His cool vibe and genuine personality seemed to good to be true. He and Tania delivered. Yes there are shared bathrooms and common areas. But we came to see Vallarta. Beds were comfortable and the balcony was a great place to kick back after a day of seeing the sites. Walking distance to everything. Breakfast was a nice touch in morning to get us going. I will definitely revisit next time in PV. Did not try any of his excursions and regret we didn't. Great value and awesome hosts!
My husband and I stayed at Marco and Tania apartment over new years. It was perfect. Cozy, had everything we needed and close to town for a great price. Not to mention how great Marco and Tania were to rent from. Both very nice, easy going people. We were only staying there a few nights but came home on new years to a little gift on our doorstep. So very thoughtful and kind, you don't get that kind of hospitality from a hotel or anywhere else for that matter. They were having a new years party which they also invited us to. They definatly make you feel very welcome and comfortable. We came back to pv a few weeks later and stayed at their bnb for a few nights. Which was also great. Super close to town, breaky in the am and a very comfortable room with fridge. Thanks you so much Marco and Tania for your amazing hospitality. We will definatly be back and recommend to anyone else who is thinking on staying!…
We spent six days here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Marco and Tanya were wonderful hosts. Everything was delightful; room, breakfast, balcony, rooftop view, and Marco's guided trip to San Sebastian del Oueste, in his minivan! Thanks for everything!
In reading other reviews, I totally agree that Marco and Tania are great. They are wonderfully friendly and helpful from first contact to last. When we first arrived, I was a bit surprised by the overall look of the place. The B&B is a bit more basic than the listing expressed. There are shared bathrooms and the location is in an apartment building. That said, the space is extremely clean. The hosts are very, very welcoming. If you want to cook, the kitchen is very well supplies with cooking utensils. The location is close to everything, but off the beaten path so it was not too loud.
My Dad and I stayed at Casa Descanso the first week in November 2014.. Marco was kind enough to pick us up from the airport. The casa was within walking distance to the Malecon, restaurants and pretty much anything else you needed. Marco was able to make arrangements for us to go fishing and both my Dad and I caught some good sized Mahi-Mahi. We also did a couple of day trips with Marco and Tania and their son,Estephan which was real fun. I would stay at the casa again.
