Almost don’t want to share how wonderful everything is at this beautiful hotel. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They thoroughly explain all of the wondetful amenities offered and gave us amazing tips on activities in the surrounding areas. The breakfast and late afternoon snacks were abundant and incredibly delicious—so many high quality choices, eat all of your meals here!!! The included spa exceeded all of our expectations and makes this hotel a bargain for the price. The massages we booked(everyday!) with Raffaella were the best we have ever had—highly recommend the Thai and Tibetan Massages. Our room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the ringing church bells of Ortisei—truly magical. The housekeeping staff was exceptional—room was very clean and water, fresh apples as well as delicious chocolates were restocked often. Robes, slippers, and flip flops for spa are all provided. Backpacks, hiking poles and bikes available too so dont lug yours along. Short walk to the lifts and the town center. No detail is overlooked—a first class operation in every way while still maintaining a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Can’t wait to return!

It’s hard to do better than the Gardena Grödnerhof Hotel & Spa. From the moment you arrive, you are treated as a valued guest. The room was spacious and well appointed. The balcony faced the town and the mountains. At breakfast, there is a buffet containing almost anything you can think of for breakfast. Omelets, eggs and sides are prepared to order. At dinner, there is a wonderful salad buffet and dessert buffet. If you choose, you may go to the in-house Michelin starred restaurant. One of the most amazing dinners I’ve ever had. You need to check out all the details of this hotel but it is expensive, and worth every penny.

We stayed at this lovely Dolomite luxury hotel for one week, and we had a great time.
The rooms are nice, large and cozy, if a bit old fashioned (in a good way).
The staff is wonderful, very nice and polite, though sometimes too polite to admit that they did not quite understand my question.
The kitchen at the hotel is very, very good, breakfast is fantastic, and even dinner is among the best in town! Safe place to eat!
We also loved the pool, the jacuzzi, and just hanging out by the pool.
Some thing that may be improved:
Beds are a bit hard.
Bathrobe are little old.
Our room was located close to car entrance, which meant early wake up by trucks picking up waste, and food delivery. Room should have been much more quiet, and/or marked.
Also: strangely enough: quite a lot of noise from the road!
Sauna area was nude, or open for nude showering, and for both sexes. Today that appears old fashioned, and a bit sexist. I would recommend a change of policy to bathing suit in sauna.
Price is high, but worth it.

All in all: a wonderful hotel, but with some things to be improved.

Fantastic hotel in Ortisei. The staff and service is amazing, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the spa/pool area is incredible. The location is very central - a short shuttle or a short walk to either of the main lifts (Alpe di Siusi and Seceda) and an easy bus (free) or taxi to Selva to do the Sella Ronda (you can get there from the Seceda lift but that will make for a much longer day). There are ski rentals on site and the ski locker room is very convenient. I highly recommend the half board - the price is reasonable and you essentially get a 6 course meal every night with a great salad and bread bar and a cheese bar after the main course. This was our second time at the hotel and we will definitely go back.

The rooms are excellent but also the food is superb from the most extensive breakfast buffet I have encountered to cordon bleu cuisine in the evening. The standard of service exceeds 5 star because it is sincerely expressed. This can only come from a family ethos that encompasses staff members, guests and the local community. The service is exceptional throughout the hotel, everybody playing their part.

We stayed at Grodnerhof for 3 nights and it truly was exceptional. Service was 5 stars. The hotel is conveniently located in town, can walk everywhere you need. Breakfast Buffet was a dream come true, a real indulgence for the senses. The room was warm yet inviting and the beds were super comfy. The spa is gorgeous. Of note, as an American it certainly was a bit of a change to use the sauna nude with mixed genders. However, after getting use to it, I realized it’s actually better: cleaner and more relaxing! It’s now my preference to use sauna without wet clingy bathing suits! The space is well designed and the staff take the environment of a spa seriously, meaning they keep it clean and enforce the rules such as no loud talking (which is a personal pet peeve of mine, in spas). So keep up the great job Grodnerhof!

We stayed three nights while visiting the Dolomites. We can see why it’s rated the #1 hotel in that area. Exceptional service from the reception and lounge staff; the rooms are beautiful, with the knotted wood panels and cabinets.

It was nice to have a soaking tub and a separate shower. The toilet was in a separate room (nice touch!).

If I had one suggestion for improvement, it was for the breakfast buffet. We stayed in six different 5-Star hotels over our three week trip in Europe. There were fewer choices (for example, no smoked salmon). The wait staff was not as responsive compared the other hotels.

Another nice touch was the snacks available in the lobby from 3-5 pm. Nice selection and the bar staff was excellent.

Otherwise, we loved the location - so close to the cable car for hiking around Mont Seuc. It was also easy to walk into town (across the river; 5 min walk)

My husband and I stayed in a superior room on the third floor for three nights in early July. The location of this property and the town is perfect for easy access to many glorious hiking trails, aerial trams and funiculars, buses and many restaurants and shopping in towns.

The hotel itself is beautiful with excellent amenities and wonderful staff. We enjoyed the large and warm indoor swimming pool, the spa. The numerous indoor and outdoor sitting areas around the property are comfortable. Other highlights are a game room with pool table, the sauna, spacious fitness room and afternoon snacks near the bar.

Our room was spacious with large bathroom and separate toilet, balcony with sitting area, indoor sitting area, cozy robes and indoor and outdoor slippers. Great lighting throughout especially the bedside reading light options. Coffee and tea options are in the room along with minibar. It is easy to access any info re the hotel via an in room tablet.

The morning breakfast is a treat and offered during a wide array of choices. While we did not have a chance to try dinner at the hotel (so many good choices in town) it is highly recommended.

Wonderful stay - wish we could have stayed longer!

Gorgeous property and location absolutely perfect! Period/local charm and decor, but still modern at the same time. The rooms were very spacious with large bathroom, plenty of storage space, seating space and the largest balcony we have ever had! We had a nice corner suite overlooking the mountains and lovely town of Ortisei. We loved having morning coffee and evening wine on the chaise lounges on the balcony. The breakfast in the morning is very large with plenty of selection (they did run out of eggs twice, but plenty other options). There is also a nightly reception with lots of snacks and sweets. The outdoor garden and spa area are amazing. I wished we had more time to be able to enjoy after all the outdoor activities! The staff was very welcoming, professional and helpful with making suggestions on local restaurants and assisting us with finding several guides/tours. There is no A/C in the rooms, but with the cool evening mountain breeze, it was not needed. We can't wait to return for another visit in this lovely place in this amazing town!

I think it is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at (compared to similarly priced hotels across the US, Lake Tahoe CA, Rome, Florence, Milan, London, Barcelona, etc.). The staff was super friendly and helpful. The spa facilities were exceptional. A beautiful indoor pool with large plush lounge chairs and even a water bed. Three large saunas, a cold pool, and a very large hot tub. A very nice gym with glass views to the mountains. The room was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the town. Breakfast has a huge selection of food, and there are snacks from 3 to 5 pm. So good I had to write a review, which I rarely do.
