Very good hotel with, a clean and attractive interior with great food. The restaurant is a little expensive but overall it is good. better than other options in the area, especially if you want to go to Valcartier village it makes sense to stay here which is much better than hotels there.

Front desk is bilingual in French and English. Everyone from the front desk to the maids were kind, considerate and polite. Decor was unique and reflects the culture of the area. Personally, I loved the decor because it reminded me of the Pacific NW. The designers did a good job incorporating Native culture with modern design. I would have liked to see an actual dresser vs a table under the tv for storage. That is my only complaint.

We take our small groups to this hotel since many years and it was always on the pricy side, but since it is very unique it was acceptable. After the pandemic though the prices raised even higher, but the service got less, for instance, no daily room service, make your own bed! Pre-pandemic we always had a wonderful breakfast buffet with lots of really good choices. Now you pay $30 including tax and gratuities for ONE plate of your choice. The amount of food on the plate feeds a woman, but definitely not a man! Potatoes that came with the egg dish were brought out after the eggs were eaten or cold (your choice). I, personally, chose the yogurt dish, but never had a bowl of yogurt with some berries and granola for such a ridiculous price ($30)!!! I really do like the hotel, but the price performance is not in proportion.

My husband and I were there for our 30th anniversary weekend. First time at this hotel. We did the Onhwa Lumina package plus the Kwe package. The hotel is very nice and the staff is friendly. The hotel is clean . We used the pool on one afternoon. There was noone there. Was clean, the area and water were of excellent temperature. Towels are available at the pool area. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not functioning - and, we forgot to ask about it when we left the pool. Included in the package were breakfasts and dinner ( drinks were extra ). The food at La Traite is exquisite!! They always offered an extra little treat as a taster. Our dinner experience on the first night was the most pleasant- the waitress was very friendly and serviced us very well ( she explained that we could have extra mashed potatoes; she gave me an extra piece of bread; she happily had me taste the wine before I ordered a glass ). The next night's dinner was not as pleasant . The waitress was not as friendly: she did not remember that we ordered a glass of wine; I asked her for an extra piece of bread, but never received it; brought the mashed potatoes but did not tell us that we could have more. We were happy with the tour of the Museum, the church, and the long house. The guide was very knowledgeable. It was an enriching experience . We attended mass on Sunday morning (welcoming people). However, on check -n we asked if the church gave service on Sunday and the reception told us that there was no church in the area that actually said mass. Unfortunately , I would not recommend the Myths and Legends - definitely over priced !! We were told 2 legends - one of which we had already learnt through our experience at Lumina. I think it would be better for the storyteller to have a few stories prepared and go with the vibe of the crowd ( we were only 2 couples ) to see if some stories would be better to be told. Also, no disrespect intended, but I don't think that Myths and Legends is the place to tell personal experience stories ( those are very real, sad, and in some cases tragic ) . I was very much underwhelmed with this experience which I think has a lot of potential- especially since the setting of the long house is so pleasant. We also participated in the Talking Stick activity. We made a talking stick. That was a fun activity , but, I would have enjoyed it more if the person leading the event would have told more of the story behind the stick and give us more of an appreciation of its use. In retrospect, we might have preferred the jewellery making. The hotel is located walking distance from the falls - a nice nature walk. The back of the hotel is on a river side. It's a relaxing area with plenty of spaces for nice pictures. I was disappointed that we were not offered anything complementary from the hotel seeing that ( no actual fault of the hotel ) the fire alarm went on in the middle of the night and we were outside from 2:30am to about 4:30 am. There was a family dispute right next door to our room and we were asked to evacuate. It was quite intense a moment [lots of screaming going on ] which obviously caused stress and sleeplessness. No one asked us if we were okay , the next morning. Despite this, I would recommend this place as getaway for a few days. The village is also conveniently located- short drive to the Quebec City aquarium and old Quebec.

My wife and I went today and overall, it was a neat experience. We went for a two hour tour guide (they offer English and French ) and our guide was very knowledgeable. The price does not vary from getting the basic ticket admission. There were only the two of us with Francine, our guide, and we learned a lot. Also, we went to the restaurant that is located at the same place. Fancy and pricey food. However, it was worth it (don’t expect large quantities) Only problem: to get there, we took an Uber (paid around 25 American dollars). What happened when we wanted to return to the city ? Ubers don’t seem to drive all the way there to pick anyone up. We had to take two buses (line 72 and 800) next to the church and it took us almost two hours to get back. Luckily, I was able to communicate with the bus drivers to let us know where to get out. One more thing… when taking the bus for the first time (3,75 Can dollars) make sure that either you have the exact amount (they don’t carry cash) or get tickets before hands (for 90 minutes or a daily one )

Beautifully decorated and welcoming lobby. Staff was efficient and responsive to inquiries prior to our stay. The rooms were also beautifully decorated and appointed with comfortable beds. We would have liked to have had some facecloths in the washroom though and more plugs near the beds to charge our devices. Had we had more time we would have tried the hotel’s restaurant and visited the museum but we had to have an early start the next day.

Visited this hotel for a three day business retreat where our org was looking for an educational and culturally immersive experience. The respect shown for our Indigenous peers was so meaningful, dare I say the opposite of what I observe settler service is to my respected peers everywhere else we go. The room design and hotel aesthetics are simply breathtaking, see my pictures (they still don’t do it justice). Very practical room too, those furs were beautiful. The lobby too was so warm and beautiful. Then, the foooooooood. Breakfast, creative delicious, so healthy. Dinners, I am a fan of game meat (Elk, Deer, Bison, Lamb, were all perfect in every way) and my vegan peers were treated to great food as well. 30 mins from the Quebec airport, 30 mins from downtown (Old Quebec is the must-visit tourist area) Most of all, grateful for all the Indigenous cultural learning embedded in the experience of staying here. Looking for a meaningful and effective place to hold a retreat, board meeting, gathering? This is it.

I stayed at Hotel Musee Premieres Nations in September 2022. The hotel is very thoughtfully decorated, spotless, and the service in English and French was superb. The setting is beautiful - with trails along the river and falls. The little town was so charming. There were lots of things to see and do to immerse in the Huron Wendat culture. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay.
