We booked a room in October. Since the occupancy was low, we got an upgrade to an oceanview room (also facing the Coral pool). Two of the resort’s best employees, Desi & Dion, work at the Coral Tower. We love to visit here often, whether we cruise or fly to the Bahamas.
If you have not been here in a while, the Coral towers is all redone. The rooms look fantastic. I have stayed in all the towers at one point or another in the last 16 years of vacationing here. The coral is a great place to stay with families and kids. The coral pool is very close and all redone too. The coral tends to cost less than the Royal and much less than the Cove. A couple of things to note, this is an Island, things cost more. If you want a budget vacation, this most likely snot the place for you. You can not compare the cost of food in the USA to cost of food n the Bahamas. It does cost more. There are ways to cut your food bill. Bringing cereal or such if you are not a big breakfast eater. I love the breakfast buffet myself. For lunch at any of the pool concessions you can get a cheeseburger or chix sandwich for like $12 with a drink and chips. For dinner, costs vary widely depending n what you want. Virgils and Carmines have family style and you can get a ton of food for much less than a more fancy restaurant. The food is great and worth it at these 2 places. New to the resort is water filling stations, so bring a water bottle to save from buying bottled water.…
We stayed at the Coral in Atlantis. There were a couple minor issues with our room/stay. We brought this to the attention of Kalin Williams at the front desk. We didn't expect much to come of it but Kalin took care of all of our concerns and made everything right almost immediately. The rest of our stay was perfect and Kalin even reached out to ensure our satisfaction. GREAT SERVICE!
We got moved from one hotel because we had no hot running water. The Coral was a nice hotel; nothing special. Everything is very expensive. All in all, the resort is very beautiful and clean, with many nice pools and water attractions.
I have stayed all over Atlantis over the years but I have to say Coral is one of my favorites. I've never had any issues with the rooms. On my most recent trip we stayed on the 1st floor. I loved walking right out to the patio and looking at the sharks in the pond directly in front of my room. I also loved the idea of not walking through the main lobby every time I wanted to go out to the beach or pool. There is a nice library and sitting area with computers if you want to chill for a little while. The rooms are really nice. Staff is friendly. There was a cleaning lady who greeted us everyday with kind words and a big smile...such a sweetheart. Wish I had gotten her name!
