I can’t believe I spent this much money for the food service to be this slow. The food just arrived an hour and 15 mins after getting here. No refills on drinks. Earlier at a different restaurant, the drink (soda) never even came! Very disappointing! I thought a Sandals resort would be the ultimate experience, guess not.

This was our 4th time visiting Sandals.. 2nd time at this location. I think Sandals just keeps getting better in our experiences. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I talked to the loyalty desk manager and she went above to make the trip extra special for a few requests. Dining at Gordon's on the pier was amazing, Kimonos was great and really every place we chose to eat at... The tranquility and relaxation felt at Sandals is really amazing just walking around with a cold Sands beer and listening to the music and greeted by friendly smiles by the staff. The private island, beautiful snorkeling spots of the back of the private island (catch the early boat over and stay all day.. HIGHLY recommended), cabanas on the back side of the private island, hammocks.. and other surprises!!, everything about the resort is phenomenal!! We will definitely be back!

After the opening of Royal Bahamian was pushed for the 4th time, we have called Sandals Select 6 times now to reschedule and they keep hanging up on us. And they will not respond to emails from the App. After 14 trips through Sandals this is not acceptable. Save your money and the aggravation.

We just had to cancel for the 3rd time due to delayed re-opening. 2.5 hrs on the phone and we were not able to get another reservation anywhere on our dates. They never apologized and will not refund the entire booking amount. We have spent 28 nights at Sandals and they obviously don't care. No help. No apology. I hate it because we have always loved our visits. But that is unacceptable. Guess we will be finding a new resort to spend our hard earned money.

We appreciate you choosing Sandals Royal Bahamian as your vacation destination during this unprecedented time of uncertainty and regret any disappointment as a result of the recent closure. As such, we have introduced some additional flexibility to our reservation process for our guests, such as the ability for guests to revise their 2021 bookings due to the closure of the resort. For guests that decide to cancel their booking entirely, regular cancellation penalties do apply, including the non-refundable nature of the deposit. We remain dedicated to providing our guests with the highest quality service, both on and off the resort and we hope that in spite of the sentiments shared in this review, we may have the honor of hosting you in the near future.

We booked our stay on 6/18, paid in in full and Sandals promptly collected my fee via AMEX. Less than one week later on 6/22 I was informed that my reservation could not be honored due to a delayed reopening on account of additional renovations being made. There is no alternative Sandals property with vacancy so that our dates could be honored, which is paramount as this is a birthday gift/celebration. I requested the full refund option, and was informed that it would be processed in 14-21 business days. The immediate and obvious questions that this raises are: 1) Why would Sandals take this reservation in the first place? 2) Why can Sandals so quickly take payment, but take such an elongated period of time to use payments/refunds? 3) As standard practice in the hospitality industry why wouldn't Sandals offer parity at another resort, as this was clearly their shortfall? In short, don't risk your vacation planning with this company. They don't put their guests first, and offered nothing more than a curt "sorry about that" when I asked these questions live. I will tell everyone I can about this awful customer experience.
