Outstanding! This is most definitely not a three star resort. More the top end. Absolutely stunning. Myself and hubby had a cottage literally on the beach. Although these are not spotless but it felt authentic as it should be. There was a few stains on the couch and the fridge was rusty in places but clean inside. The maids cleaned every day and nothing was to much trouble for them. We had a few issues with some ants and the shower head was not working both was sorted out asap. The rooms come with a safe and loads of storage iron and ironing board. Bathroom had fresh towels and shampoo and body wash. Although at times the water was a bit hit and miss so possibly watch the little ones if showering. A hairdryer is provided. We had a few power cuts but it didn’t bother us too much. There was no tea, coffee making facilities we always pop a travel kettle with us. The fridge isn’t full with much mainly a bottle of water but found if you tip the maids will leave more. The bars had a variety of drinks and the girls/guys remembered what we drank and as soon as we started to walk to the bar they were already making them for us. Everyone is so happy and always polite and helpful. The gardens and beaches are spotless and beautiful. Can not fault the staff and their hard work. It’s a slice of heaven and so peaceful. The restaurant served a variety of food and was always hot and plenty of it. Mind we were always on time for food. The the grill /Thai bar did amazing food and if you just want a burger or some chicken wings this is a great place.. Even the Thai in the evening was great. Remember to booked though. It was beautiful watching the sunset sat on the beach by our cottage. Definitely worth the upgrade. The pools are really clean and lifeguards are friendly. Each close to the bar. Shop is a little expensive and I’d avoid the shop just of the complex as they do local price and tourist price. The trip people in the hotel are really expensive another to avoid. Pauline’s just up the road is best or use your tour rep. A massive recommendation is to take your snorkel set and just pop out in the water and see the fish! Beautiful! PLEASE PLEASE go you will love this place if not for the rooms but for the environment and the wonderful staff who definitely went above and beyond to help and make our stay the best ever

Listen carefully, if you just want somewhere to lay your head and have a meal when you're up etc fine, otherwise this is not the place for you. I feel sorry for the wait staff etc, they are overworked and always look sad. I've been to many resorts over the years and budget reasons caused me to choose this place this time bcz it was quite a number of us but nope, I do not recommend. Management sucks, you try to speak to someone, they're too busy to come speak to you, you try to make a complaint, you're directed to the website. Well I will not return, none of my 29 family members who spent the weekend will not return and we'll tell our friends not to come. Listen to your staff and guests and make some changes.

This was my 5th visit too royal decameron club carribean, it has changed so much, I was lucky enough to get the room I've had for 4 of my holidays, room 17 it has been recently been updated with a great rainforest shower, room was spotless and maids kept them that way,jetty bar was great with a few of the old staff working there Bad news the buffet restraunt has gone down badly I love too people watch the waitresses don't seem interested in helping you with tables cutlery and tea, but a young boy was fantastic at his job, eyes constantly watching where he needed to go Nicholas was his name Food stations were under staffed so ques could be out door What happened too the milk being in the cooler What happened to toasted sandwiches at lunchtime What happened too the barbecues the chefs cooked on rotating spit on jamaica night Prices for holidays are going up but standards are down The loud music on Friday and Saturday nights are not decameron fault, they can't go and chap on door and ask for music be turned down Food at dinner time needs to be sorted I don't know many people who eats cow paw Going back next year if foods still same I won't be going back Ps what happened to ice creams, and running out of cornflakes pineapple juice tomato juice coke and dark rum should never happen

This resort is delapitated and unfit for purpose - parts of the hotel and rooms should be condemned! The AC units are old, the room decor is dated and depressing, the fixtures and fittings are dated and soiled the sheets and towels are bleached out rags! The food is a disGRACE to Jamaican cuisine - The all time low for me was corn beef soup! the food was worse than 'Prison Slop" the presentation is shocking I lost weight on this trip. Wifi - terrible I had to buy a local Digicel Chip and use that as a Wifi Hotspot Free water sports are non existent!!! The saving grace was the location and the staff - who tried their best! there is no accountability - when I spoke with the manager of guest experience - she did her best and moved to a more modern room with 2 AC units. My experience it was just so incredibly poor that I checked out 5 days early and booked into the RIU Negril at a cost of £1000 US dollars to save my precious holiday - you are better off paying a little extra for the 4 star experience. I have local knowledge as my family are from JA - we had a car and could escape from the resort - If you are stuck here for 2 weeks - it is misery!

I have been reading the reviews giving one star. This hotel was lovely! The grounds are beautiful, as well as the lovely huts/rooms. If you love nature, you will love this place. The food was great, there was a good selection. The staff were always respectful, entertaining and jovial. Although young, they knew their jobs inside out. If someone gave one star rating, they obviously didn’t get the place. Drinks are literally on tap, whatever you want it is available. Even when we needed help with our bags come checkout time, we just picked up the phone and asked reception. They gladly obliged by sending someone with a trolley.

Firstly, the rooms were a disgrace; holes in the roof, breaking locks and bathrooms that haven’t been updated since 1980. But the food situation was honestly abysmal, everyday was a fight for food where arriving just a minute later would result in you only being able to have chicken bones and maybe a few grains of rice if you were lucky. Music on until god knows when, lack of drinks and I’d rather watch paint dry than watch the dreadful entertainment available. But finally to top it off we went to go ask for some straws with our cocktails and they blatantly said they had no straws available (for our entire stay so we had to go out and buy straws ourselves) DO NOT STAY HERE!!! {THERE IS MUCH BETTER FOR THE SAME OR EVEN A LOWER PRICE}

This is one of the worse all-inclusive establishments I’ve stayed in. We got there a little early around 2:00 (check-in was at 3:00) and they were adamant about not checking us in until 3:00 (There were people waiting from 11:00 to be checked-in). After some strong words with the representatives, they allow us to check in. Food was mediocre, not a lot of varieties, only two restaurants on site, one of which do not have enough seating capacity and was understaffed. They don’t embody the Jamaican cuisine experience either, only one or two Jamaican dish available at mealtime (Except for one Saturday where they outdid themselves). Overall, I was not impressed. 90% of the staff were rude, act as if they’re doing us a favor by being there, or if our presence was such an inconvenience (The other 10% when encounter, did make up for the obnoxious ones. (One of the only positive attributes of the hotel were the 10% staff members who did exceptionally well). The rooms were atrocious, reminds me of a Super 8 motel (One of our parties had bird fecal matter on their bed upon checking in, I found bugs/roaches inside my covers. Very little amenities offered and even though it’s an all-inclusive hotel, you’re limited to only one bottle of water per day. I would not recommend this hotel if the price-point is over $65 per night.

It was my 60th birthday, so I decided to spend a couple nights at this hotel, because my brother and family were staying there, first let me say, the pictures online is fake, the rooms are not what they supposed to be, my brothers room looks like a low budget motel six, his room has three beds, small beds, one for him and his wife and the other two for my little nephews, it has a little refrigerator that looks like it was built in the 1920s, a little small table with no chairs, the bathroom look like something from the 20s, and that’s all that was in the room, and this is all exclusive hotel , oh I forgot there is a TV on the wall that look like a 10 inch television. As for my room it smell like bug spray, it was a little bit better than my brothers room, but believe me I would never ever ever ever ever stay there again, and as for the food you know what I’m not ever going to get started on the food, let’s just say if you’re not first in line or second or third in line, you’re gonna end up with scraps because they do not and I mean do not refilled, so if there is no food there, there’s no food there so you better get there early. Let’s just say if I could give this hotel zero I would. I’m a manager at a hotel in California, and believe me if our hotel was like this hotel we wouldn’t be a five star hotel.
