This is an A1 location. Classy, upscale, yet laid back and fun. Excellent food and rooms. Beach is pristine. Robert is the sommelier/food manage-he can and will acommodate almost anything. Blue and Mediterraneo are excellent. Friday night food and live music beachside at La Palapa excellent as well.
Have the best vacations in covid time, this amazing experiencia started From the Reservation department and very excelence service. Ana was very friendly ❤️. One of the best beaches clubs in a hotel in the DR but the service in the restaurants are slow but the food is really good. I meet Pedro and Alejandro on Social Friday they are really nice guys and they know a lot about DR and CapCana. Housekeeping always very friendly and also the Beach Concierge. It is a place that I would come back a thousand time. 👍
The good - My wife and I - along with our two daughters - have just returned from a four night stay Eden Roc. We had a large garden room. It was beautiful, immaculately clean and comfortable. Right outside the door was a table and chairs where we sat with our coffee each morning. Right across the lawn is the pool, surrounded by a warm view. There is a phone to call next to use the bedroom and order food or drinks. The grounds of the estate are impressive. All the staff are warm and welcoming, except for one. The bad - I was really interested to visit the Dominican Republic for making some business in the area, as a Relais & Chateaux (Same category of the hotel The Bora Bora, which I love to travel) was my first option, but I had 2 situations with the same employee (which was a middle-aged man with a white shirt and a vest). The first situation was when I was asking for information for the Christmas night (he was the first person I saw during the day). He only answered me with a rude tone of voice '' That he doesn't know '', which for me was really strange after being talked with different employees during my stay, so I asked him who can tell me something about that night? And he only answered '' guest service ''. Since I was really frustrating the way he spoke to me, but I thought that maybe wasn't his day. But then one of the morning that I was jogging, I had a leg cramp in the middle of the way to the beach and surprise! The same guy passed in a golf a car, even me beckoning him to give me a ride, he completely ignores me which for me was really annoying at that time, after 5 minutes a bellboy passed, and he was really nice and kind to give me a ride to the beach. I didn't want to make a comment back then for not to ruin the vacations of my family. For me is a reason for not coming back, especially because in The Bora Bora I've never received that kind of treatments and any other Relais and Chateaux.…
Overall we had a great vacation and we were very happy. Negatives: Towels in-room were slightly overused and bedding was way too soft. Boogie boards on the beach were old not the best quality and there were not enough to go around. Suggest you bring your own as this is a key part of the resort - they have one of the ebst oceans in the carribean with great waves. Weak wifi overall. I managed through it but there is a big need for high speed wifi and this must get upgraded. no convenience shop on site for snacks, medicines, etc. this is essential in every hotel. I had to go to mini mart 5 minutes away which wasnt terrible, but slighlty inconvenient. Positives: Amazing service top to bottom, which is very hard to come by on an island. Butler was best part of the trip. responsive and took care of every need we had all trip long and communicated quickly via whatsapp. Kids camp was amazing overall; could use upgrades on video game consoles and games available, however there were projects, trampoline, and my kids loved it. the staff there was absolutely incredible. Food was overall was great and we were happy. Breakfast was amazing. The beach and waves are one of the best attractions of the hotel and kept our kids busy all day. Overall we loved the resort and would come back.…
Refused to refund or credit my $3000 when covid travel restrictions started in March 2020. Called several times and staff claimed no one spoke English. Even American Express, who I booked through got no where with the staff. Trip was planned for right as travel restrictions started. Total rip off STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
