This hotel truly justified and even exceeded our expectations. Very beautiful landscapes. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Francy from GR helped us everyday to solve all the problems. Food was good in a-la-cart restaurants. I Recommend the platinum conception in GBP.

I think the property is beautiful, although everything is pretty far so you have to take a kart. The food could have been better I found that the food at the buffet was always cold. It was super weird. Even breakfast. I truly was disappointed with That. The staff is always super helpful and the beach was beautiful. The beach was my fav part. Overall I had a great time but the food is the reason why I didn’t give the hotel a higher rating.

Hey guys, we are staying in the hotel for three month since Nov 27, 2020 and I should say that we visited many places around and GPB is the best hotel in the price to quality ratio. We suggest to stay in platinum category as you have a variety of premium drinks (5 different 12yo whiskey for example), 2 separate restaurants (one of them with lobster dinner included, I’ll attach photo — huge and delicious lobster indeed), special towels, jacuzzi, and many more facilities and perks. Another thing is wine list: beverages there are cheaper then in supermarket (e.g. MOËT costs $55 or Maschio Rose for $14). They have mini club (9to5). Mangrove garden on the territory. 12 restaurants. Love it!

I spent 2 weeks during the pandemic in this marvellous hotel and it made every single day matter and every single meal one to remember. Let's start from the service. You will never encounter something negative. Every employee loves what they are doing and they know you by the name and remember each family's story. This creates a very positive environment and makes every moment unforgettable. There's many restaurants and every night there's different ones open. So you make your selection and head in for the best dinners of your life. Breakfast and lunch at the buffett are extraordinary too. I firstly tried the normal suite bangalow but later I upgraded to the Platinum. The experience for either is outstanding. The suites are looooovely and spacious and sparkling clean. It is a grand hotel with a vast space and a bunch of things you can do. From the exotic animals to the variety of the activities, you will find yourself losing all these thousand calories you are having everyday during your All-Inclusive board. The whole layout of the resort is magnificent. I like how there is a flamingo lake and a restaurant complex built on top with 2 major ones. The indian and italian. Yum!!! Delicious. Say "Hola" to the Parrot. He will say "hola" too. Feed the ducks, the peackocks and the turtles. Amazing for a family with kids. The beach is a wonder. The palm trees around the resort an absolute dream. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveller especially during this pandemic. There's curfew hours in the DR but not within the hotel. Feel free my friends, 24/7!! Thanks for everything Princess. I'll always be coming back

My boyfriend and I spent a week at the grand bavaro princess! We came to the resort with the full understanding that we chose to travel during covid. Things may be closed... staffing could be low. But this is not the case! The staff was amazing. Starting with Daniel... the first staff member you speak to sets a tone for the entire stay. And Daniel from the front desk was great! We also loved Juan from the pool bar... he was an excellent bartender. And Francia—her service was GREAT. Many reviews note that the food wasn’t great.. we disagreed! Perhaps small portions but you can order more! The food was great! The resort is beautiful. The beach is beautiful!!! Now this was my first vacation out of the states and I have never been exposed to high pressure sales. The royal holiday group needs to be retrained. They will offer you a “welcome package” from the hotel. This includes a 90 minute presentation and high pressure sales to sell a “not a timeshare” timeshare. No is not taken for an answer and they call your room and stare at your balcony waiting for you to come down. After four days of being told no the once “welcoming” sales person won’t even look at you. When you’re finally away from these salesmen you’ll have different salesmen trying to wave you out of the pool to sell you an excursion or spa package. Now I’m aware times are tough all over the world and there are not as many people to sell to... but is it possible for the hotel to not allow beach salesmen around the pool. Or to ensure the royal holiday salesmen take no for an answer on day one so I don’t have to skip breakfast to not be bothered? We paid good money to relax on this vacation. I work as a first responder and have worked so much overtime during the pandemic and finally got a week off.. and I have to constantly feel like I’m being stared at... waved at.. whistled at.. for someone to sell me something. This was extremely frustrating for us and others we spoke to at the resort. Also PLEASE if you’re planning on going to the casino just outside of the resort and someone gives you a $10 free bet to progressive roulette.. keno.. whatever they want to call it. Please please goodie progressive roulette Dominican Republic and make yourself aware of this scam. We did not end up how others did but they did try to scam us incessantly. My final thought... the staff here work so diligently. The resorts beauty speaks for itself. The food is amazing. And the princess has one of the best beaches around. I am afraid the resort will lose many returning customers if the sales workers aren’t retrained or start taking no for answer the first 10 times they’re told. This would have very easily been a 5 star review... and a lifetime vacationer for every other reason.
