Our stay at the Royal Service Paradisus was sensational. Everything is designed for you to feel special, pool and beach reserved, comfortable ocean view suite, varied restaurants, spa, entertainment and a setting with an unusual nature. But all this has set even more amazing with the service of our butler, Luis Sanchez, a super attentive professional who was ready to satisfy all our requests and magically to anticipate others, besides always surprising us with pampering. Made the experience even more unforgettable.

I have to say that I was amazed with RS Palma as it was my first visit . Rooms are absolutely stunning with beautiful garden or ocean views. They are huge !!!Housekeeping x2/day without fail. The staff were extremely helpful and went beyond my expectations! Many thanks to Glennis, Annabel, José and Angela in the RS service lobby!! They were beyond helpful. I had the privilege of having Francis as my butler and he was fantastic. He constantly kept in contact with me throughout my 13 days I was there. Anything you needed he was at your fingertips! As a RS guest you have access to all the restaurants but my favourite was Palazzo!!! Food was excellent and the staff I came across there were extremely friendly and enjoyed their service and companionship. Kudos to Julia, Estavan, Gustavo andLuis. Extra kudos to Alexi to the chef who had to deal with a very fussy eater and came up with delicious dishes ! Onto the RS pool. Only good things to say about Wanda the bartender who works so fast and got everyone’s drink as fast as possible. Pedro, Omar, Raphael and Luis are great pool and beach runners making sure you got what u needed ! Beach was quite large and comfortable. Enough beds for everyone!!! Water not rough at all. For those of you who want a special treat, a massage at the oriental spa is a must. A Balinese massage hands down by Wayan was my highlight. I only found her with 3 days before leaving. I’ve met so many people working on this resort who were absolutely kind and helpful and I’d be writing away till tomorrow. Needless to say I was and am extremely happy with this resort and will return to RS in 2020 for sure. Overall the resort is super clean, staff is excellent, choice of food in abundance and high quality. A special thanks to Gara who convinced me to try it out and she was totally spot on!!!! What’s the appropriate amount to tip the butler? And should we tip him daily or per occurrence? Such as reserving a lounge chair etc.
Just give what you think they deserve. I tipped only who was doing the best they could when I felt they deserved. I tiped one or twice in two weeks with good amounts (5/30 dollars) depending on the type of service they were providing. You can see a lot of americans tiping everytime they order a drink.

We are going there November 9-16 in Royal Service. Can anyone report on seaweed (Sargassum) in the water?
There is some seaweed in the water. They rake the beach daily. It’s not too bad to deal with

I read that with the Royal Service,sunscreen is provided throughout the day! Wondering if that's correct?
Not to say it doesn't exist, but I do not recall seeing it. Although I wasn't looking for it either since we brought our own along. I'm sure the Royal Service butler can get some for you, but it might be worth sending an email to the resort or calling to ask.

With the Royal Service, does your butler reserve your lounger in the morning either at the pool or beach? Or do you have to get up at the crack of dawn to get one yourself?
Yes, they take care of pretty much everything you can think of. We were there the first week in June and there were plenty of empty Bali beds on the Royal Service side. We spent all of our time on the beach because it was a lot cooler out there with the sea breeze vs at the Royal Service pool which was small/cramped, felt enclosed, with Bali beds right up on each other. That pool was actually the most disappointing part of the resort. Go figure!
