Good things The weather is good but windy (March) You don’t have to cook You can order to the room Bad things The food is nothing special The room are hold and from the 3 we were all were with broken electric plugs 🔌 We forgot 4 things in 4 different days all disappeared (crocs, sandals, sun glasses and the bikini from my daughter) The service can go from good to a catastrophe without any warning. It’s a lot of employees but you can hardly see organization. Some employees are very nice some are just there to spend the time and throw the food to ur plate. To book the restaurants there is not a rule. So you have to look the app every day several times until the restaurants are available to book. Can be 1, 2.... 5 days before and after 1 hour are all booked out. Paying more to look the castle 🏰 is not worthy. The time you spend in the room would not compensate and there few rooms with a good view to the castle. At the beach it was a used condom on the side of the beach-bed. The people is always giving tips to employees what I think shouldn’t be allowed. To go outside and if you ask for a Uber it’s not allowed to com inside of the hotel premises only taxis. The difference between a taxi and Uber is more than the double. When I was there the taxis kick one Uber and also the tourist. The attractions outside you can book inside of the hotel but after they pick you up in an unsafe and loud van and you have to pass through all the other hotels to pick up the other people. Better to book directly and taking a Uber there. In overall I love the time I spent with my family but I didn’t like the hotel/Punta Cana. This hotel is not a 5 ⭐️ is a 3 or 3,5

I spent 4 almost perfect days at this hotel. I love Bahía Principe El Portillo where I have been several times but, this time, wanted to give it a try at Fantasia in Punta Cana. Check in was smooth, room spacious. I requested an extra bed for one of my children and it was provided at no charge. In general, the room 98122 was very good. I do have 2 recommendations: upgrade the matress. It was realy hard! I work at an airline and travel a lot, I've visited many hotels, this is the worst matress by far! That being said, the rest of the roon is comfy enough, clean, spacious and since it was a short stay I didn't complain. Also, I think they didn't realize that the cristal door from the bathroom does not open completely since it hits the toilet and it is very difficult to get inside, you need to go sideways and with effort and there is no way a chubby person could enter there as the door opens inwards. Food, as always at Bahia Principe chain, is just delicious! There are enough options for every taste and good selection of liquors included. I even cancelled my reservaciones at the a la carte restaurants since buffett was so good we didnt want to bother getting all dressed up! Pools great, my kids loved the slides at the water park and the ice cream all day long! Covid regulatios followed, they tried their best. The only thing that really bothered us, and I mean, REALLY bothered us a lot, was the fact that the guests were allowed to carry their own music everywere and at the beach pool we met a group that had obscene music with all kinds of rudeness and horrible words in front of many children present. This is a family hotel and I couldn't believe not a manager, supervisor, no one tried to stop that show. The families there that spoke spanish and knew the letter of the music, we had to leave with our children and I don't think that is fair. Same thing at night, a couple carrying their own music everywere. I think the hotel must manage and control the music in each space, many of us just want to relax. I love music and the played great music at the pool, decent music and at normal volume but what meny kids had to hear was really rude! I love Bahia Principe Hotels and will recommend the hotel for sure. I wish to go back soon. Minor things that I know the management will take into consideration as they value their customers.

I will start with the Good. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and super spacious , the view is fantastic, the pools and grounds are very well maintained. It is perfect for family with kids who want to enjoy both beach and pools as well as to walk around. There are 7 hotels within the complex and it is paradise for those who love to walk. We are a family with two small kids ( 6 and 2) and occasionally we take my mom , who love to travel to different places and explore. This being said, this is out 5 Bahia Principe trip and 3rd in Dominican Republic ( 1 in Esmeralda and 2 in Fantasia). Since we have already been here we knew what to expect and knew we wont be disappointed. On our last trip in Nov 2019 ot Fantasia we met a beautiful Bulgarian girl Desislava Krasimirova who was the assistant manager. Unfortunately for us we met very briefly because it was our last day but we exchanged contacts and so when we were looking for a place to escape the winter during Covid-19 , I though that it would be a great idea to go back to a place we have been to and know what to expect as well we know someone who can help us in case anything happens. Desi responded immediately and assured us that we can rely on her throughout our vacation. So we booked together with another family with 2 kids. Desi was kind enough to upgrade our rooms to face the pool and castle and put us and my mom with adjoined rooms. Sadly Desi was sent on a mandatory break just the day that we arrived, though we still managed to meet and have a great time. The hotel offers free Rapid Covid-19 tests before leaving right there without having to look for a place. There are small train rides that take you everywhere you need to go, from lobby of the hotel to the beach, to the restaurants and to the other hotels on the grounds. The beach is clean with plenty of chairs and umbrellas and it is a very long stretch perfect for walks or running. The hotel has a gym, and spa which we did not use simply because we were happy to be outside. The Bad- since we traveled during Covid-19 restrictions, Desi had warned us that a lot of the services they offered before are no longer there. That meant -no night entertainment, no themed dinners, not a large choice of food, no

The hotel is beautiful... Super clean and following all covid protocol. I am currently staying at the hotel. My issue is with how they treat their own people. I came from NYC to spend a couple of days with my family, and because I am Dominican they want to charge me for the covid test. First they said that it was because I am not leaving from the hotel to the airport, then because the test is only 24hrs prior to traveling. (Whish is not true... To enter USA the covid test has to be within the 3 days) Today is Friday and I will be traveling Sunday. Then they wanted to charge me us $125, and asked if I was American and said it was free. Beware about this if you need to travel back to the USA. They will make it difficult. Now I have to look for a lab outside in order to travel back to NYC. Don't think I will coming back to this hotel.

Needed to get away during the pandemic, and decided to go to the Dominican Republic for the first time. It was great! Also decided to go to this hotel as it looked interesting. Also great - mainly because there were few people there and, after seeing the lay-of-the-land, realized that this resort is designed for families. The Bahia group has 4 or 5 other resorts all within the same general area, connected by many shuttles (golf carts) making it very easy to get around. While we were there, only 2 resorts were open. We were there for 7 nights, and tried all of the open restaurants. They had a very good variety to choose from, and each one presented its' own flavor. None were a disappointment, however, the Garden Circus was our least favorite. The others were of equal par. We were treated very well, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us, and after a week, no complaints at all. We would go back to a Bahia resort without hesitation. And we are in March 2021.
