My wife and I just enjoyed an extraordinary long weekend anniversary celebration at the Ritz. The property and our room were absolutely beautiful...well designed, appointed and maintained. The staff was fabulous throughout--perfectly balancing the fine line between attentive and obsequious. Meals on property were all excellent, from BLT Steakhouse to sushi in the bar. We did opt for Club Lounge access...enjoyable, but not sure it's a good value even at the "discounted" rate. Between my Marriott status and our anniversary celebration, the hotel really took care of us...significant room upgrade, champagne, balloons. Well done Ritz Carlton!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, I wanted to provide some helpful insights to anyone looking through the myriad of choices that Aruba has to offer in case that it may help narrow down the decision process. The Ritz Carlton Hotel gets extremely high marks for being very clean (rooms, pool grounds, and everywhere ) and that the service is incredible. Every employee of the hotel goes out of their way to make the best of the guest experience. With regard to an overall feel of the hotel, it is my opinion that the hotel's primary customer base are those individuals who really value the service, cleanliness, and high quality offerings (food, drinks, etc...) and are willing to pay a premium it. That being said, this means that you are not going to experience some of the community (albeit noisier) activities that are offered in the other parent company brands (e.g. Marriot Surf Club and Ocean Club). Those hotels tend to have features such as lazy rivers, swim-up bars, karaoke, pool volleyball which appeal to a different crowd. Nothing is wrong with either approach, but just make sure you of what you are looking for in your vacation experience prior to booking. I will admit that I was a little surprised at the cost of beverage selections at the Ritz. It is going to be expensive at any beach front hotel, but the mixed drinks here ranged from $17-$25 apiece (yikes). Food is also a little pricey (breakfast buffet is ~$40/person, and most lunch items were $20+. We never ate dinner at the hotel, but we did hear that the steakhouse is "best in class" from some of the other vacationers. If this is your first trip to Aruba, than remember the words "Super Food". This is a grocery store very close to the resorts where you can pick up just about anything at somewhat reasonable rates. My wife and I opted to pick up cheese, crackers, breakfast snacks, some fruit, and several bottles of wine to supplement our daily diet. For dinners, you would doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try them out (my favorites on this trip were Whilhelmina and Bohemian). You can't do a review these days without having to talk about Covid. Unfortunately this is not something that we are able to take a vacation away from. The Ritz handles its precautions pretty much the same as every other hotel. Generally speaking, mask wearage is when in public places inside the hotel (not required outside). Most people tended to congregate outside (even for meals) in order to avoid having to wear masks. I only had one bad experience when in the Casino after taking a sip of water and was told to immediately put my mask back on (noting visually of course that the Pit Bosses had theirs pulled down below the nose). I am writing this off as just being a single aggressive employee. As a helpful piece of information, the Ritz does have a convenient process for being retested prior to your return flight by having a local medical setup in a conference room. It is my opinion that getting into Aruba was more difficult than getting out of Aruba with regard to these tests. On the subject of the Casino, I do want to comment that the tables seem to have higher minimum limits than other resorts. One of the locals commented that he plays at the Hyatt because it is the best mix of reasonable limits but decent odds at the blackjack table. Overall, fantastic hotel. Great for relaxing, great rooms, great quality, and great service. If this is what you want...than you found the right place.

This was our first trip in a long time without our child and we couldn't have chosen a better place to have it! The whole trip was amazing, the food, beach, pool and casino! Every little detail was thought through for the stay, even down to delivery of ice pops on the beach when it got really hot out! Special thank you to Rino, Dagiany and the rest of the VIP team at the casino for helping make our stay extra special!

This was my wife and I's 24th trip to Aruba and our 5th trip to the Ritz. We travel to Aruba a couple of times a year and specifically come in October without our kids. We started staying at the Ritz five years ago and love coming here for some time alone. This trip was, by far, one of our favorite trips and reminded us of why we love coming to the island. The weather and water are always beautiful here, which we love, but the people are what makes the difference. We have and still travel to other international destinations, and there is no comparison between the people in Aruba and those other locations. We have also stayed at several hotels in Aruba and continually have found the level of service at the Ritz to be a cut above the rest. So many of the employees all around the property remember our names from year to year, which has got to be hard to do. We appreciate this and absolutely do not expect it. We appreciated so many of the people at the Ritz this year that made the trip amazing. A special thanks goes to Rino, our casino host. He did an amazing job of setting up our stay and making sure that anything we needed was taken care of. Rino and Dagiany, the other casino hostess, worked together to make this a great trip! Absolutely great to work with! We also can’t thank enough the entire casino VIP desk team, including Kim and Jayline. They surprised us on our last night with a gift that showed they had done some research into us and knew a little about our story and this made a huge difference. We got some great pictures to remember this by. At the beach, we appreciated Conroy, Steffano and Juan who set up our chairs under our “special” tree that we like to sit under and remembered this from previous years. Lastly, we want to send a special thank you to the casino cashier team. We had a minor situation on our last day where I lost a “water” wallet that had some sports tickets, cash and a room key in the water. Carmen, Daniel and the cashier team did a great job of recreating the tickets for us. We all got a good laugh out of it and laughed even harder when the “water” wallet was found a few hours later by one of the members of the beach staff. It floated up to shore and Juan, one of the towel guys, found it. Everything was in it. Truly appreciate his honesty and doing this for us. We can’t say enough good things about Aruba, the Ritz and the people who share their home with us. We truly are grateful for every part of our stay and for all of those we mentioned above. This is their home and we continually remind ourselves that we are blessed that they share it with us. We will absolutely be returning and can’t wait for our next trip here. The Ritz was a beautiful hotel. The customer service throughoutthe hotel in everyaspect was perfection. Our room was cleaned twice a day,refilled of soaps, waters ect. The breakfast every morning was so delicious, and Jun came by to say hello and ask how our trip was going every morning even when he wasn't our primary server. The staff was excellent and we used every possible service available. The beach, chairs, service was spectacular.
