Pro: Really great staff. Clean hotel and the rooms were clean every day. Great beach and was clean. Con: Not a variety of places to go and eat. We pay for a all inclusive and we had to go and pay for dinner. Da Vinci was close everyday. Coral was open only half days except Sundays when they offer a brunch. Pizza now didn't offer pizza until after 3:00 but offer other stuff before 3:00. The casino was closed due to renovations. Even though this hotel wasn't too bad we will probably stay at the RUI because it's a real all inclusive hotel

Don’t pay for the Palapas (Beach Shade). I paid a premium to get a palapas in the front to get a nice view of the sea. However soon enough people who don’t pay grabbed some beach chairs and set then right in front of me blocking my view. Not sure why I paid a premium. The beach security doesn’t care and did nothing. Looks like they just take your money and then don’t care.

Pros: -super friendly/hardworking staff, especially Jennyree and Rosemary and Bart from Sea Breeze -great bed, nice pillow, great housekeeping -great beach and pool, excellent location for food and ocean adventures like Jolly Pirates! -great hot water in shower -great on site gift shops/stores -good food (limited variety) Cons: -Dated rooms including popcorn ceilings, brown shower liner/bathfitters style, poor shower lighting, weak toilet flush, textured drywall, no hand towel hooks, weak air conditioning -Food variety is bad, not advertised that there is only one place to eat dinner after 7pm (Seabreeze) except on Wed and Fri's when another restaurant is open (Da Vinci). The website states that the Palm is open (it's permanently closed) , DaVinci claims to be open Mon to Sat -Poor scenic room views despite paying extra for partial ocean view- we were next to the elevator so better view of the parking lot -AC never got the room cold and they shut it completely off one afternoon for maintenance. -Beach chairs are uncomfortable/old -Website states the price of a COVID test on site is $40 but when you arrive the price was $50, despite the website still saying $40. -Rooms have no noise insulation, sister room next to us sounded like their (weak) toilet flush was in our room next to the nightstand. Jarring. It was tough not to give the resort 3 stars but seriously the staff were all so nice and friendly that they made the trip enjoyable despite the location's downfalls.

We have been coming here for years. (20+) Smitty (beach- so glad he is back), Cheryl (hut/towels) Roy (beach), Boris (Beach bar) and Louise (beach bar) are AMAZING! They are always smiling, happy and helpful! They help make our vacation perfect every year! The hotel is very well located and affordable. The Manager, Mr. Alvaro and Cheryl were so helpful prior to our arrival which made arrival smooth. Our housekeeper, Magdalena, was PERFECT. She had everything in our room we asked for. She always smiled! Everyone is so appreciative of us being here. We love the island and the people we come in contact with while here. I highly recommend!

Never again. Booked this hotel last minute with my husband and 2 daughters and we did the all inclusive option. What a mistake all around. The hotel is dated, the hallway and lobby area are dirty and the grounds are unkempt. The restaurants are old, and even the chairs on our balcony were old and dirty. There’s carpet in the rooms, and slippers weren’t provided so we wore our flip flops because it was disgusting. The all inclusive option was a joke. The only thing it was good for was breakfast, which was good, with a large selection and not a long wait. They don’t take reservations for dinner and we had to wait between 1 to 1 1/2 hours to eat. So we ate out every night, except once in 7 days. The one time that we waited almost an hour to eat, the food was terrible. And we were charged for the crabcakes and lobster because that’s apparently not part of the all inclusive package. The waiter never told us, not that it would’ve made a difference, we still would’ve ordered, but the meal was terrible. The bar at the beach was a joke. There was no service, we waited forever and they ran out of piña colada and sprite in the middle of the day. The quality of the alcohol is the lowest of the low and if you want better alcohol you have to pay for for it. There’s a coffee bar in the lobby but there’s only one person working it and about 15 people online. You wait forever, and one morning they ran out of coffee cup covers and straws for the ice coffee. The only positive is the location. It is probably the best location and widest, most comfortable beach on the strip. You can also reserve an umbrella the day before at noon for $15. That was very convenient and fairly priced. That’s the only positive that I can say about this hotel. We will definitely return to Aruba but will stay far away from the Holiday Inn.
