My friends and I (3 ladies in total) stayed in a 1 bedroom suit which was the pert size for us. The bell captain Pablo Hoyos was kind, attentive and very helpful along with several others, but he was my favorite. I would always see him in the morning eyes smiling because he’s wearing his mask and he would be busily tasking around sweeping, greeting offering assistance just a hard working man. The resort is lovely and close to the beach. Our favorite bartender was Enrique he is a blast and personally the cheesesteaks at LaCabana are better than anyplace you can find on the states. Also Ms. Lilliana from De Palm tours is very helpful and friendly. She assisted us with our excursions and ensured we had all information we needed before hand to make the best of our days outside of the resort.

Hotel's Favourite
I can't say enough good things about this resort. This was our second time staying here. Our room was clean and comfortable. The property is not on the beach, but it is a short and safe walk to the beach. The pool area is beautiful, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived here just as Aruba unfortunately got their first two positive tests for the COVID-19 virus. The government took decisive action to protect the public. The general manager of the resort left daily updates on the phone message system informing us of changes to adjust to the government regulations. Some resorts closed and made their guests leave, while this resort offered a special rate for guests who were stranded because of cancelled flights. We will definitely be back!

We booked a week at the Eagle. We normally stay only at 5 stars, but all hotels in Aruba were booked for some reason, so we settled for this one based on some of the earlier reviews - big big mistake. What struck us almost immediately is the strange nature of the staff. Generally, most of them came across disinterested, almost entitled to a large degree. When you check in - watch out for the very hard sales pitch, pretending like they want to give you something for free and then trying to sell you hotel schemes / timeshares etc. the staff at the bar (with the exception of Enrique and Kate who were great) are entitled and act like they do you a favor, every time you need something. We were booking costs to the room and every time, they looked at us like this was a problem. Then, over a day before we left, they stopped allowing us to charge back to the room and insisting on cash. Making it clear they don’t trust their guests, it’s all about the green and they only care about charging you money. The on-site restaurant has a drab menu, meat and Chicken will often come carbon-burned, so beware. Although some of the pasta is nice. But after 3 days of the same (unimaginative) breakfast, lunch and dinner, we started to go out looking for food. It is aptly named a shack. One night we went to the casino (glitz) - same experience with the staff - specially the ones manning the tables. Rude, arrogant, entitled. At some point I had to remind the very rude woman working our table, that we are the guests spending our money, and she is the host and should try to be more respectful. The on-site COVID testing facility is an absolute joke. They have a MEDLAB in the resort and the staff refuse to help you get an appointment - they tell you to ‘book it yourself’. The lady was completely disinterested in helping us. We found no appointments slots available and despite there being a room with testing facilities literally 10 rooms down from us - we had to go to an external facility. We went to the MEDLAB at the holiday inn where we were told the Aruba MEDLAB is a walk in and they should have just allowed us to walk in. This has literally never happened to us on all our travels, since COVID started. Disappointing and absolute poor show in this day and age, and btw also flouts HSSE standards. We will likely look at making a formal compliant about this to an external authority. The checkout policy is posted as a print out outside your door before you leave - unfriendly and very transactional. Basically tells you about all the various charges they will levy on you if you check out late, don’t return their towels etc. I understand this is policy, but they could have worded this in a more guest-friendly way. Again - highly transactional. Overall - ok if you are looking for a cheap and nasty motel experience. If class and warmth is what you seek, run a mile from this place.

Where to start! The rude staff (I’m sorry, did I ask you a question that meant you had to stop sitting gazing into space and engage your brain?!). Terrible (And I mean, non existent) house keeping… the moto at Eagle Aruba is “why clean it, when you can walk right past it”’ ; kids pissing in the pool, being harassed DAILY by the promotions team. Oh and BTW, if you say you’re not interested (in spending a few hours with someone you’ve never met over breakfast pushing brochures in your face”) they have the cheek to get aggressive with you!!! Pcr test on leaving… that was a fresh new hell which saw us traveling around the island and in true Eagle Aruba form, when we asked for help “nothing to do with us. Make your own appointment”. Awwww… thanks. One restaurant open which specializes in deep fried, cheap, unhealthy food. But my personal fave highlight had to be when so many people were getting so drunk at their bar, they actually got WHEELCHAIRS out to take people back to their sh!t hole accommodation. I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life and I hope, never again. AVOID. EVEN ON A BUDGET, you can do better than this place.

We absolutely LOVED this resort! From Check-in to Check-out. Everything was beautiful, perfect, fun, and relaxing! The room incredibly spacious, comfortable and the location was more than perfect; we had the last room on the ground floor in front of the kids pool. Tony’s pizza is delicious with its variety of food to chose from, the staff friendly and attentive, the towel lady always with a smile, getting a cab is easy and fast, the adult pool super cool although a bit difficult to be able to stay laying down on that underwater bed as it is easy to slide off, the music always upbeat and fun and never too loud, everyone is always friendly and ready to help you with anything you may need, the walk to Eagle Beach is super easy, it is literally a 8 minute walk to reach that beautiful white sand, oh and the cleaning crew THE BEST! We absolutely loved every second of it! We are so coming back, soon, very soon, hopefully in that same room 😍 Thank you from Al and Daniela 💖
