There is at least 3 restaurants in the Divi village vicinity. Others within a quick 5 minute walk. Yes, you can get fries and other finger foods pretty much anywhere, especially at the bars near the swimming pools.

For us as a couple, the all-inclusive was the way to go. We stayed there in Feb and had a great time. Getting to the beach was no problem, they had a shuttle but we found that walking was just as easy. It was great being able to go to all the restaurants and bars that the Divi had to offer. You did need reservations for some, but the concierge took care of that for us. I have seen what some people have written, but apparently they were not on vacation, just looking for things to criticise, like this review! With kids you can't go wrong with the all-inclusive, but there are still lots of great places to eat downtown.
