Beautiful well maintained guest house with modern and spacious rooms. Our room had a big spa bath but unfortunately we were only there for 1 night so we didnt get chance to use it. Breakfast was lovely, full English using quality local products, other choices available. All table service now due to Covid restrictions. Also one way route around the guest house which proved a bit lengthy having to go out the side door and walk around to the front door to go in for breakfast. However we fully understood and felt well protected, sanitisers available everywhere, rooms all deep cleaned before each booking. There's an honesty bar. Well stocked, just write down what you have and pay the bill on check out. The only down side for us was the location to pubs/restaurants. The local pub is about a mile and a half away. A bit too far to walk which meant one of us had to drive. Highly recommend the accommodation though

I have just returned home after a one night stay at the Ullswater Guest House with my mum. We could not fault this hotel! We got a warm welcome (from the owner’s mum I believe) and were shown to the twin bedroom. It was clean, well stocked with toiletries, refreshments and biscuits, and very quiet. The best part was definitely the delicious cooked breakfast in the morning - we both said it was one of the nicest we have had! It was great to be able to preorder exactly what we each wanted the night before as well. Definitely will return and recommend without a doubt! Thank you very much!

We had a lovely stay for 1 night at this B&B , the location is excellent in the heart of Pooley Bridge, we felt welcome the staff are very helpful & friendly. Room was clean & comfortable, garden furniture a nice touch to sit out with a coffee in the sunshine . Would stay again if visiting Pooley Bridge. Breakfast was delicious

It is a beautiful guest house, with great breakfast, toiletries, comfortable bed, clean and spacious room. We love this location - walking distance to the 3 pubs (restaurants in the inns of the town), gift shops, and the Ullswater 'Steamers'. It is highly recommended!

I booked this B&B for my Grandma, she couldn’t fault her stay. The breakfast was lovely (although she couldn’t finish the generous portion!), it was immaculately clean and with lovely furnishings. The owners did everything in their power to make her feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks!
