This bed & breakfast is set in the centre of Hythe village. Run by Martin & Elizabeth, who are very friendly and excellent hosts for your stay. The food in the morning is of a very high standard and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are furnished well and the beds are very comfortable to sleep in. The price is very competitive and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay for anyone who doesn’t have a disability that stops them going up 10 steps or more.

Overall amazing place to stay!

Warm welcome, clean and good breakfast. The Maples is conveniently located within easy distance of the small village centre and a couple of very good pubs. The owners were very friendly and happy to make recommendations on where to eat. Breakfast was a strong feature with local produce, well cooked a plenty of it.

We have just checked out after a two night stay. Martin and Elizabeth really do make you feel very welcome into their home. We stayed in room five, the room itself had everything you could need, tea, coffee machine, hairdryer, fluffy towels, local toiletries, a comfy bed and nice clean linens.
Breakfast, there was a choice and we went for the full English- delicious and served with a huge pot of tea and orange juice. Thank you for a great stay.

The room was a good size with a fan for air con which we used as it was hot weather. The beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was good ( if a bit early for us whilst on holiday). We chose different things each day, all of which were tasty. The hosts were kind and helpful. We would stay again if in the area.

Very friendly owners Elizabeth and Martin, made me very welcome, nothing to much trouble, added hot chocolate sachet in my room, knowing after my first night I like this before bed. Very comfortable bed and well equipped room, especially the ceiling fan most welcome during a very hot weekend. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice. Definitely will stay again.

I stayed at The Maples for a week recently while on a works training course.
A lovely guest house in a great location. The hosts (Elizabeth and Martin) were really nice and helpful. They couldn’t do enough to make me feel welcome and comfortable for the duration of the stay.
They have a great Breakfast ordering system via text message, and the Breakfast did not disappoint. They do a great omelette!
My bed was huge (Room 3) and really comfy.
The room was spotless and well presented. They have onsite parking and there’s lots of shops and restaurants within 2 mins walk.
Thanks for looking after me!

We have had the pleasure of staying at The Maples for our third visit.
Elizabeth and Martin are first class hosts. Very friendly, helpful and always professional.
The Maples is spotlessly clean. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and a coffee machine.
We were so pleased to find our greeting of homemade biscuits was still supplied.
Local organic toiletries are also provided.
The breakfast as ever was superb, using local produce. Even though we had to pre-order due to covid the standards are still high with ample choice.
We would recommend The Maples to anyone looking to visit the New Forest.

Have stayed here on many occasions. Martin and Elizabeth are always so welcoming, the place is absolutely spotless, beds are super comfy and the breakfast is great. Martin and Elizabeth are doing a fantastic job during the COVID 19 pandemic and we felt safe and well cared for. Great job guys!!! Would definitely recommend The Maples to anyone looking to stay in this area. Will be back again and again.
