If anything distinguishes the Hostal and the Apartments Remoña, that is, without a doubt, its incomparable geographical situation. Cantabria offers an innumerable range of tourist possibilities of the first order (excellent beaches, Altamira, Cabárceno, Alto Campoo, El Soplao ...), however, above all the Picos de Europa National Park stands out imposingly. To access its Central Massif, there is an installation, the Fuente Dé Cable Car, which, year after year, is one of the most visited in Cantabria. And three minutes from the Cable Car of Fuente Dé, in the town immediately before, in Espinama, belonging to the City of Camaleño, within the glorious Valle de Liébana, exactly where the Hostal Remoña and the Remoña Apartments are located. A unique environment that can accompany a magnificent stay. And is that rural tourism is not at odds with comfort or style, two of the criteria that have marked the design of the rooms of Hostal Remoña and Apartments Remoña. The combination of the taste

We went on business activity and stayed at Hostal Remona and everything was super great. Jesus was the best host, so welcoming and friendly, we felt very good there. He was always asking us if we needed more food or something else. The food they cook is amazing. I recommend the stay and hope to return.

We had a wonderful 3 night's stay at Hostal Ramona. The location is perfect for Fuente De. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and quiet. The food is delicious and (be warned) comes in generous portions. The Ox chop is especially recommended. Finally, Jesus and Tony were great hosts and made us feel very welcome.

Hostal Remoña was a beautiful hotel with modern rooms. We enjoyed our stay and all the staff were very friendly and helpful when they were around. They gave me gluten free products at breakfast and at dinner. The breakfast was continental and there was a good selection, although a lot of it contained wheat so I had cured ham and boiled eggs with my gluten free bread, also some yogurt. The room was modern and very basic. Unfortunately the hairdryer wasn't very good and the outside of it was all sticky. We slept well, it was a bit noisy. The dinner is also of good quality, I especially liked the cracker breads, cheese and courgette jam. Overall it's a good hotel in a perfect location.

The location of this hostal is near Fuente De and only about a 5-10 minute drive to the cable car. This tiny town has a few restaurants, is really quaint with its stone houses and river that runs through the village. Parking is available along the tiny streets or in an area designated by the hotel. The management here is a bit confusing. They run a restaurant, a bar/cafe, a little gift shop, and the hotel. -- but no one seems to be interested in helping the other sections out. When we went to check in, the person running the bar told us to wait for the person running the hotel -- who was also the same person waiting tables in the restaurant. This issue happened on several similar occasions. Our room was recently renovated, very modern, new and clean. It had an excellent shower and was very comfortable overall. We had a small balcony and a view to the church ruin next door. The breakfast here was good, with a wide selection of choices. We also had dinner in their restaurant, which was also quite good.

A very comfortable and characteristic place. Great food very helpful staff. The owner even gave us a lift to the cable car so that we could do acircular walk from the top back to the hostal. It made for a great break in the Picos.

Comfortable and clean rooms. Jesus and his staff are fantastic and very welcoming. The food here is to die for. Authentic, homecooked cuisine at a great price. Especially love the meat and sopa de cocido. Perfect location here too. The bar is a great place to relax. See you again soon!

What a lovely place to stay. The host is an absolute superstar and makes you feel more than welcome. The food is good, the accommodation is clean and they brew their own beer believe it or not. As an added bonus if you come on a motorbike and you ask Jésus the owner nicely he let's you use the garage, which is enormous. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for several days whilst hiking in the Picos de Europa around the Fuente De area. The hotel is in the village of Espinama, which is situated in a river valley and with great views of parts of the Picos (actually, of Pena Remona, from which the hotel gets its name). The hotel has a local bar also on the ground floor, and then a separate section with the guest rooms over a couple of floors. Our room had a small but pleasant balcony, and had quite traditional/rustic decor. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The hotel didn't include breakfast in the room rate, but the breakfast is convenient and had a lot of choice (including local artisan cheeses) to prepare for the day's walking. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive to the car park for the Fuente De cable car, from which it's possible to hike directly or take the cable car onto the plateau of the Picos for additional trails. It's worth getting to the cable car early (opens 9am) because the queues just to buy a ticket can be over an hour, with further waiting for the cable car itself (up to 2h if you arrive later in the day). The cable car is outrageously expensive but provides access to some very exciting and challenging hikes, as well as good views. The hotel had a restaurant that serves really excellent food, based very much around the local styles of cuisine and made with local ingredients. We really enjoyed it, there are a lot of interesting menu options. There's several other restaurants in the village, but the restaurant in the Hostal Remona was our favourite. Parking is not straightforward in Espinama, but usually a space can be found in one of the small free public car parks.

2 night stay in Espinama. First night ate in Vincente Campo restaurant. No 1 on TripAdvisor but hurried and very average. 2nd night tried Hostal Romona. Had a drink with locals in the bar while waiting 15 minutes for a table. Although staff had little English they were extremely friendly and helpful. Had set menu which was still available in the evening. All local dishes so be careful with the translation and what you order! I really enjoyed my chorizo with beans starter and veal casserole main with plenty of red wine to wash it down. My wife is less adventurous so had salad with quail which she really enjoyed. The combination of food and welcoming staff made it a great evening meal. 10 out of 10.
