10-minute walk for this 73+year-old dragging a 4-wheeler from the JR Hakata rail station + 5-minute subway to domestic airport. Rooms are tiny but comfortable. Little English spoken but the staff is very helpful and friendly. A convenience store is nearby. Saw beautiful sakuras at small park just a few doors down the street. Hakata station area is great for shopping and restaurants/bars.

About 5-6 minutes by walking from hakata station, Not easy to locate though as its on the inner street and not on main road. check in time is 1500 as normal in japan, but surprisingly there were almost 20-30 odd guests (may be more ) to take room keys at the same time, very annoying. room was normal as per japanese standards. There is an restaurant and bar at the entrance, family mart (Convenience Store) right opposite to the hotel. Taxi from Hotel to Fukuoka Airport took about 12-14 minutes.

We stayed there for one night, the hotel was like 15 mins walk from Hakata station, not too bad. Didn't expect a big room but it was very small compared to other hotels in Japan. The bathroom curtain had a bad smell, like it hasn't been dried properly. We paid more than USD200 per night and it totally wasn't worth it since we paid around USD100 for another hotel right next to the Hakata station in this trip which was much better.

It took my 7-10 mins walk from JR Hakata statation. The room is small, but I booked for single, so good enough. The english level of the staff is so so, simple word is unstandable. I recommand it for budget travellers.

As expected of an APA hotel, it's average. The rooms are miserably small. Would advice couples to spend slightly more for other hotels, because your room won't have space for 2 big luggages. The location is good though, 5-10mins walk from Hakata station.
I find the check in process redundant, having to insert my hotel key card into a machine to be given a room, instead of completing the entire process at the reception. The room being close to main road, one will hear the traffic even in late night.

This time, thank you very much for staying at APA Hotel Hakata Ekimae>. The hotel is located about 4 minutes on foot from Hakata Station, facing the street inside the one from the main street. The rooms are compact rooms of 10 m², and the bed adopts a 120 cm wide semi-double bed. Therefore, if you have lots of luggage, please understand that the space may be limited. If there is another opportunity, I hope you can use it.

I stayed here on a day where all other hotels were full and I have no other choice. The price was very high when judging from the quality of the hotel itself. Room was small, dark, and smelly (to be fair, a smoking room even though I don't smoke but that's the only room that I could get on that day). Location a bit far from station, around 10 min walk. Lobby was also small and the hotel overall was very old and worn down. I would not suggest you to take this hotel even if you can get a lower price than I got, as there are far better option nearby the train station like the JR blossom.

It's just what you would expect! It doesn't feel cheep and the rooms are big enough for one night. All of the APA hotels seems to be good in Japan. It's close to the main station and easy to find. The straff is nice and speaks good english.

This hotel is a great, cheap place to sleep in. The staff are nice, and accommodated me well even though i cannot speak Japanese. The rooms are as what is expected of typical Japanese hotel rooms: small (but sufficient) and clean. A good 10-min walk from Hakata Station, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Free wi-fi! Would go again!
