After being in some very small rooms in Toyko with teenagers, the space provided in this room was appreciated. The room was very comfortable and clean and allowed us to spread out. The small balcony, while only looking over other buildings, was welcomed as well. It is close to the main Dotonbori area, but in the seedier red-light part of town. It is worth noting that this is an apartment - not a hotel in the conventional sense. You check in via an iPad and cannot store luggage before checking in. The check in was straight forward, but lengthy (need to photograph, and provide information for each person/passports etc, call someone through the iPad, get two codes for entry) and the person before us was having all sorts of trouble with their room code. We arrived early and had no where to store luggage so had to drag them around with us for a few hours. This could also be an issue if you have a late flight out of Osaka. In short if you want space and comfort - choose this place. If you feel you need a bit more guidance and the staff support of a hotel, choose somewhere else.

Close to exciting Dotombori area (but still quiet), quick access to train stations and easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see locally.
The 2bedroom apartment was very spacious and plenty of bed space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very well kept, clean and so handy to have a washing machine. But the most amazing perk was the free travel phone provided (awesome idea!) which allowed us to make free calls and text messages and also access internet for maps and information. Super handy device, unexpected but most appreciated! Self check in was straight forward and friendly staff. Good value for the area. Highly recommended for comfort and convenience for a family or small group. Plenty of complimentary toiletries and handy to have slippers and robes provided.

On the negative, the the hotel is in a red light area with brothels. Our kids were old enough to not be bothered but younger kids might be (pictures of women in brothel doorways) but easy enough to also go unnoticed. The convenience of the hotel overshadowed this one minor thing for us but families should take this into consideration.

Booked at the very last moment and in a unfashionable part of Dotonbori, I feared the worst. I arrived earlier in the day and the place was completely closed up with no one available for the sign said that you must check in after 3 pm. Which I did from then on it was all uphill, this superb studio apartment with three double beds, so from the value for money perspective it would represent value for money I happened to be a solo traveller. Access to the building is by key code and the room, so you can come and go any time.

The studio has everything you would need and many extras that often are ignored and not provided by the operators.

Wi-Fi worked well, kitchen has electric hob top toaster grill kettle free coffee microwave fridge everything very clean.

Local cable TV Japanese only, air-conditioning/ heating plenty of hanging space, good quality hangers, iron, unfortunately a very small ironing board, which seems to be the situation in Japan.

The owners do not want you to wear outside shoes in the studio they supply slippers Face Flannels, toothbrush, combes razors plenty of towels there is even a washing machine,so all in all highly recommended.

The only criticism is is finding the property can be rather difficult as they do not provide a correct address and Google maps does not have them correctly located and they do not answer the phone until they arrive at 3 o’clock.

Please please just avoid this hotel. This hotel is trashy. We stayed for 2 night. Receptionist was only available from 3-6 pm. When we checked-in, we were given a guide book which consists of the passwords of the room and several guidelines. It’s written that our room will be cleaned everyday and towel and bedsheets will be changed. None of them happened during our stay. On the second day when we came back to the hotel, we called the number on the receptionist to ask for towels. The man who picked up the phone told us to wait in the receptionist to get the towels. We waited for 10 mins and called him again because there’s no one there. He said that he have no idea why they didnt provide towels and didnt clean the room. He said he was in namba and couldnt do anything. Why the hell he asked us to wait in the receptionist to get the towels?? Also the room floor was very dusty. Room looks old and damp. Found a number of insects passing by. Location was in red light district area. And you need to walk quite a bit to get to the station. Totally not recommended. My family feels cheated. So please avoid this hotel at any cost and just pay a little more bucks to stay at other hotel. This is the worst hotel that we have ever been to!
