We were the only Western tourists there, interestingly enough. Location couldn’t be better, next to metro, America-Mura, dotonburi etc. No breakfast but 24 hr beverage bar in lobby and coin laundry. Rooms are good, decor in hotel is strange so “vibe” is a bit unusual. We were stuck in Osaka due to a typhoon so felt a little like we overstayed there but this was a pretty good base.

We booked a four person room at Hotel 88 Shinsaibashi. There were two beds which felt like 1K and 1Q. It was a very clean, roomy and white room with a TV and mobile cellphone which allowed you to make unlimited free local calls and calls to nearby area like Taiwan and Hong Kong. The bathroom is standard but clean with toiletries. The lobby floor had free drinks such as coffee, tea, juices, and soda. Furthermore, there were little couches, coffee tables, and chairs to relax in at the lobby floor. This hotel was at the corner of a weird little street that did not seem very populated. But just few minutes walking would bring you to Dotonbori street. The staff spoke decent English. They were very helpful in instructing us how to get to places using the metro. No meals were provided.…

While maintaining the quality of cleaning and the quality of service, we are working on revising the price of the room. Booked a superior twin room through Agoda.com. Definitely large enough for four people. Wifi worked well. Free drinks, microwave, pool table and massage chairs provided in the lobby. Staff spoke English and were helpful. Great location, 5 min walk from OCAT and Less than 5 minutes walk from the Namba Station Appreciated the “Handy” phone provided in our room which can be used around Osaka as a GPS. New Water bottles and new towels were hung outside on the door knob in a black bag on days we didn't need cleaning. First time I have experienced such hospitality in a hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to Ricky, who helped us get to Osaka station with all our luggage!

We mention a bit about Ricky, he is our boss, he sometimes visits Japan. He will take guests like you to the destination free of charge. However, he is so busy and he can not do the same kind of hospitality for all guests. The traffic situation in Osaka is very complicated. Even Japanese, perhaps few people uncomprehending it perfectly. We will guide as much as possible in the mother tongue of each guest, or accompany the destination if the destination is close. Located very close to Dotonbori this hotel is really the perfect place to enjoy Namba Area. Hotel lobby is cozy, visitors can enjoy the facilities like pool table (free) or just drinks coffee or tea at the launge. The staffs are also very nice and helpful. When we wanted to go out and it was rain, they immediately offer umbrellas and gave suggestion to visit some good spots. Room is spacious, when we stay there we choose a three bed and it is very convenient. Water and other amenities are provided, wifi is very good and one thing that we loves is the USB plugs are available. Bathroom and toilet are separate and they are clean and tidy. We were enjoy our stay and this is a recommended hotel.

We were there about 1 hour before check in time. The staff kindly allow us to do early check in, which we really appreciate. Staffs were extremely helpful throughout our stay, providing information we need for our trip. Convenient location, near to train station and Dotonbori. Room was spacious, well maintained and clean. They even have air purifier. Comfortable lounge to chill with free drinks, green tea latte was awesome.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is just on the western outskirts of Dotonbori and very easy reach to all of the Namba hotspots and has the benefit of being in a quiet area. Rooms were huge against what we expected. Well insulated from noise, great wifi and even 3-pin plug sockets. The toilet and bathrooms were separate. Everything was spotless with no smell of smoke. Free drinks (hot and cold) in lounge and a pool table. Service was great too with English and Mandarin spoken. Will definitely look to stay here again. Cannot recommend it enough.

The hotel is really clean and the rooms are huge...staffs are friendly and helpful during our stay. Fantastic location! Love the array of beverages provided along the lounge area. Wil definitely return back if we are planning another trip to Osaka. My 3 year old girl love running around the room and it was such a pleasure for her. The international plug available in all rooms are really nice to have in such a hotel.

We booked standard twin A. The room is spacious for japan's accomodation. We arrived nearly midnite from kix by airport bus. Place is not far from ocat. Near the gate of shinsaibasi dontonbori area: Plus: Staff are friendly, even with their limited english, their helped us alot. There is one with fluent english helped us with delivering luggage to our hotel in tokyo Bar drink is heaven Laundromate 24h with coin is another plus Clean room everyday is upgrading our stay Min: Television channel is all japanesse channel...so tv is kinda useless. After exploring osaka city - kyoto/nara, my 4yo son is keep asking back for hotel 88. Glad that i pick the right one

Stayed for 5 nights in a standard twin room 24m2 (1 queen & 1 single bed), travelled with a toddler. The room was spacious, clean and beds were big n comfy. My toddler has space to run about. There was a self service laundry room. The location was superb, next to Namba subway entrance with lotsa eating options including takeaways. There was a supermarket “Life” located within 5mins walk. Staff were very polite. The free drinks n bring your own food breakfast area was comfortable and cosy. (I love the cafe latte! Comparable to doutor) On our check out day, the boss saw us struggling w our luggages and a toddler, he helped us with a luggage and personally walked us to the train station (leading us to secret escalators so we don’t have to lug our luggages down the stairs). Nice, clean and spacious. Will definitely stays here the next time I visit Osaka. Super friendly staffs. There are free flow of beverages and microwave at pantry near the lobby. There is a free for everyone to play pool table.
