We stayed here for 5 nights while staying in Osaka. The hotel is clean, new, and trendy feeling in decor. There were nice little touches like a Dyson hairdryer, the beds were very comfortable, and we were able to get 2 twin beds for me and my friend. There are free beverages in the lobby area, and the lobby has a nice social hang out area. The best thing about this hotel is the location though. It's super close to Dotonbori and Namba station, but it's a few blocks off the main area of Dotonbori so it's still quiet at night. The location to Namba station is great. We did day trips to Nara and Yoshino from here as you can get the local subway, JR lines, the Nankai, and the Kintetsu lines all from Namba.

We travelled to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima on our trip. This was, by a long way, the best hotel we stayed in. The room was very spacious by Japanese standards. Plenty of room for suitcases and there was a lounge and coffee table. The hotel itself is lovely, and appears new. There is free coffee, soft drink downstairs as well as massage chairs, the decoration is quirky and stylish and the location is great. 5 mins from Dotonbori. There is an unlimited supply of eateries and shops only 5 mins away with the odd store only metres away. Excellent hotel.

This is a very nice hotel and it ha a great staff. We always felt welcomed here when coming or going. The room was a good size for a family of four and was also very clean. It was nice that the toilet was in a separate room from the bathroom. It is only a minute or two walk from Dotonbori Street with all the great food. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying near Namba Station.

Location was perfect. Room was sizable and bedding comfortable. The on demand lobby drinks were much appreciated. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond. Our husbands were late in returning from a shopping excursion when we had to catch the bullet train. The staff insisted that they drive us to the station rather than having us take public transport and possibly be late. This small gesture was so appreciated and relieved a lot of anxiety about commuting in an new city. Especially since I was wearing a boot for an injury to my ankle and wasn't getting around as quickly as normal and it was raining outside.

We had a most wonderful stay here in the Deluxe Twin. Hotel was near the Midosuji Line Namba Station. Room was fine with two huge comfy beds, a small sitting area, mini fridge, tv and above all, a massage chair! This helped tremendously in easing off tired limbs after a day's activity :) Free flow of hot and cold drinks at lobby area brought relaxation and convenience too. We just needed to buy some food, heat it up in the microwave, get our preferred drinks and enjoy our meals at the round tables there. We did this every morning of the 5 mornings we had and missing it now .. Furthermore, Namba Walk was a mere few mins' steps away. We did our shopping here and it was good, both for shopping and for food. Also because we didn't have much time to search around. Above all, staff was friendly and helpful. They'd give useful tips on anything you needed to know. Outside, being Dotonbori area, there're tons of food choices. Den Den Town was easy to reach, just a stop away (to Nipponbashi Station). Young guys had a great time at the Anime town there, especially the Jungle Store. Kuromon Ichiba market was nearby Den Den town with lots of fresh fruits to select. Going to USJ was easier because we just walked to the USJ shuttle bus stop (about 15 mins) (tickets bought from Klook). Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay. Finally, we wish to give a huge thumbs up to the kind driver who turned up so early to send us to OCAT at 0630, even though his hours actually begin only at 8 am. We deeply appreciate this considerate gesture because apart from big bags, we had a small child and young teenager with us and it was so cold in the early hours. Arigatou gozaimasu!! We'll highly recommend this hotel to our other family members and friends. We'll definitely stay here again when we come again!

Our recent stay at Hotel 88 was very comfortable. Staff was helpful. Location is at a quiet side street. One side was a few minutes away from an entrance to underground Namba Walk, which has restaurants, shops, plus access to subway. On the other side was an was an easy 10 min. walk to where all the action is. Room was very clean and new. Lobby decor was artsy..so cute! Coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available at an area off the check in counter. This area had chairs and tables and you can bring your food and eat it there. Highly recommend you stay at Hotel 88.

A lovely hotel located in the best location to explore Osaka - it’s only a few steps from the main high street and the Dotonbori Bridge and has multiple subway stations in walking distance to ensure all areas of the city are accessible. You’re spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink in the immediate area. We had a room on the second floor which was spacious and very clean and presented well on a daily basis. The hotel has a pool table and free drinks in reception which is a lovely touch after returning from a long day exploring. The staff are very welcoming and polite and the room was available at a fantastic price. Would definitely stay here again if I was to return to this vibrant city.

From the moment we checked in to time we checked out the hotel staff was very attentive to meeting our needs. The Manager Naoya checked us in and spoke English fluently. Even the owner stepped in and helped us with our bags and took us to our room. We were very happy the room check in process was smooth. We were very impressed with all the amenities offered in the hotel and room. Robes were provided which came in handy since I forgot to pack my pajamas. Charging usb ports were provided with electric outlets by each bedside, laundry washing machine for guests at a nominal cost which included laundry detergent!, free drinks in the lobby, charging cords in lobby, and lots of places to sit to lounge around in the lobby, we loved the functionality of the room such shelves by the window to put my toiletries, full length mirror, and lots of hooks around the room to hang dry clothing after I used the washing machine. The room was very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable for our last night spent in Japan. It was the perfect place to end our trip since I really needed to do laundry after traveling for 7 days and headed to my next destination. The location was central to everything to explore Osaka! When we checked out the staff was super helpful in giving us the details to take the airport shuttle and even had a hotel shuttle driver who took our suitcases to take us to the OCAT bus terminal so we didn’t have to lug around our suit cases from the hotel to the terminal which was only minutes away from the hotel. Even one of the hotel staff (Kato) came with us in the hotel shuttle to help us get the airport shuttle tickets from the convenience store that was outside where the airport bus picked up. We would have never figured that out if not for her coming with us to the bus pickup point. Would highly recommend for any traveler to stay here in Osaka especially for the moderate price point!

Incredibly disappointed with the hotel who refused to reimburse us for our cancelled booking when we could not arrive at their place due to the typhoon which hit Osaka directly. Excuses given were not logical. A true disappointment in a country which was nothing but welcoming and so incredibly on point when it comes to customer service.

We stayed at Hotel88 for a week from July 30-August 5 with my family. There was a total 5 of us. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and one of the staff named KOJO was very pleasant and helped us. We asked if they accommodate luggage transportation to the airport and he was able to show us information of the company and their rates. When we entered the room, our luggages were already neatly placed inside our room which was surprisingly spacious. Their towels were individually wrapped in plastic. I asked for iron and KOJO brought it to our room right away. They have a free drink bar downstairs and pool table and massages chairs - all FREE. This is the BEST location in OSAKA. 2 minute walk to Dotunbori, subway station is literally less than 3 minutes walk, multiple convenience stores less than 3 minute walks (family mart, 7 eleven, Lawson). Towards the end when we checked out. They allowed us to do noon checkout without a problem. Also accommodated our transportation with luggage for free to the train station. Shin-Osaka subway station instead of taking 2 taxis worth $30.00. Thank you to the rest of the staff as well!!
