My husband and I stayed at Hotel 88 for four nights in October and again for 3 nights in mid November, 2024. This was our first hotel stay after landing in Osaka, our first trip to Japan. It's a very easy train ride from Kansai airport. One train to the end of the line. We could not have been happier with our stay. The moment we stepped into the lobby we were greeted by the lovely employees who all spoke excellent English. We stayed on the sixth floor of the Annex. Our room in October was 6004. There were no rooms on either side, it was quiet and perfect. On first appearance we could see an elevated freeway right outside the window and were certain we would be kept awake by traffic noise but the windows are so well insulated that very little noise penetrated the room. Noise was not an issue and I'm a light sleeper. The room was fairly large, the bathroom well equipped with toiletries, the Japanese toilet seat a life changing experience (I now own one). The Dyson hair dryer and accessories were appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. The laundry rack in the room was a much appreciated bonus as was the washer dryer on the main floor. The free massage chairs near the coin laundry were used extensively by my husband. I made great use of the complementary beverages in the lounge. This hotel is perfect for anyone wanting to visit the Dotonbori or anyone wanting to do day trips out of Osaka. An entrance (B4?) to the Namba station is a very short walk away. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Our second stay in November had us looking forward to returning and we weren't disappointed. We stayed in room 6003 the second time. Also a lovely room with a sofa which was a nice bonus as the first room only had one chair. If we return to Japan and I certainly hope to, I will without doubt, stay at this hotel.

Hotel 88 is well situated. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori but still very near everything. 7-Eleven and Lawson's are nearby. Donki is also around the corner and Sugi is down the street. We walked to Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Kuromon Market from here. I also liked the free drinks and chairs in the lobby. There's even a microwave, plates and utensils for those who order take out. Take note, though, that it can't be brought to the room.
We loved the layout of the room since the toilet, sink, and shower are all separated from each other. It's perfect for families since everyone can still do their own "business." The room is clean and quite spacious for Japanese standards. I loved the Dyson hairdryer! I also liked how there were hooks everywhere to hang our caps, jackets and bags. The nightlights beside the bed are even a usb hub charger. They even have a shoe horn right by the door. They even provide a clothes rack for those who decide to do laundry. These small touches definitely made our stay more comfortable.
The best part is the free ride to the train station after we checked out. One of the staff even brought us all the way to the ticket counter and helped us load our cards and told us what time the train will leave and what platform to take. Wonderful and awesome service!
I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again (smiley)
Tip: The exit from Namba station is Exit 22 then sub-exit is B-8.

My family of four, including two older teenagers, booked the Deluxe Twin Room during our brief stay. The room was impressively spacious, furnished with two beds, a comfortable couch, and even a massage chair. We only stayed for one night on our way back to Tokyo, but we wanted to make a stop in Osaka. The hotel's location on the edge of the Dotonbori area was very convenient, especially during the rainy night when we decided to explore the area. Despite the weather, the hotel's proximity made our experience enjoyable. The staff were welcoming and the room was impeccably clean. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the train station allowed us to store our bags and easily take a day trip to Nara. Overall, our stay was wonderful.

Had a great stay at this hotel. It's fairly new and well maintained, really clean. We stayed in one of the family suites which allowed for some space and privacy. Due to location, there's not much in the way of views from the window but that was not an issue for us as we were busy exploring. It's just around the corner from Dontonburi and also Namba city walk. Our room had a massage chair which was great. We enjoyed relaxing in the lobby after a long day out to enjoy their large selection of complimentary beverages. The staff was so nice. They also gave us a ride to the location train station to get to the airport so we avoid navigating transit with our suitcases.

We travelled to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima on our trip. This was, by a long way, the best hotel we stayed in. The room was very spacious by Japanese standards. Plenty of room for suitcases and there was a lounge and coffee table. The hotel itself is lovely, and appears new. There is free coffee, soft drink downstairs as well as massage chairs, the decoration is quirky and stylish and the location is great. 5 mins from Dotonbori. There is an unlimited supply of eateries and shops only 5 mins away with the odd store only metres away. Excellent hotel.

We did a week stay at Hotel 88 and it was well worth it. Let me start by saying the staff at Hotel 88 were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean, decent sized with separate shower and toilet areas. The hotel lobby has a spacious seating area where you can grab complimentary drinks, make use of the massage chairs or play pool. The hotel is conveniently located, about 3 blocks from Dotombori's "Running Man" location and a couple of blocks from Namba station. Of course there are plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance. We used Osaka as a hub for day trips to Kyoto, Nara and the surrounding areas. My family and I highly recommend this hotel for the various reasons described above. Like others have stated, after checking out, one of the staff members graciously offered to help with our luggage and guided us to the Namba station escalators. Definitely on my list of places to return!

The hotel was very clean, all staff were friendly and efficient with outstanding customer service. The lobby was nice and comfortable for us to sit, eat and relax. The equipment in the room was very well maintained, especially the Dyson hairdryer-set.
On the last day after we checked out, it was raining. The reception staff mentioned that the hotel driver was available to drive us to the OCAT Bus stop so we can catch the OCAT Bus to Kansai Airport. It turned out to be an extra staff to help us carry our luggage, waited for us to purchase the ticket, and walked us to the bus gate. We were very touched by his kind gesture. It was indeed an unforgettable experience as we never get any service like this in other hotels. Thank you very much! Arigato :)
We would stay in this hotel again in the future.

Our family stayed here for 6 nights while visiting Osaka. We love everything here from the in-room dyson dryer to the 24/24 free drinks at the community area with various choices. They even provide free baby trolley. Coined laundry is available which made long stay more convenient. Friendly staff and hi-5 to the Housekeeping services. Super clean, tidy and attention to details. Highly recommended!!!!

We had a most wonderful stay here in the Deluxe Twin. Hotel was near the Midosuji Line Namba Station. Room was fine with two huge comfy beds, a small sitting area, mini fridge, tv and above all, a massage chair! This helped tremendously in easing off tired limbs after a day's activity :) Free flow of hot and cold drinks at lobby area brought relaxation and convenience too. We just needed to buy some food, heat it up in the microwave, get our preferred drinks and enjoy our meals at the round tables there. We did this every morning of the 5 mornings we had and missing it now .. Furthermore, Namba Walk was a mere few mins' steps away. We did our shopping here and it was good, both for shopping and for food. Also because we didn't have much time to search around. Above all, staff was friendly and helpful. They'd give useful tips on anything you needed to know. Outside, being Dotonbori area, there're tons of food choices. Den Den Town was easy to reach, just a stop away (to Nipponbashi Station). Young guys had a great time at the Anime town there, especially the Jungle Store. Kuromon Ichiba market was nearby Den Den town with lots of fresh fruits to select. Going to USJ was easier because we just walked to the USJ shuttle bus stop (about 15 mins) (tickets bought from Klook). Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay. Finally, we wish to give a huge thumbs up to the kind driver who turned up so early to send us to OCAT at 0630, even though his hours actually begin only at 8 am. We deeply appreciate this considerate gesture because apart from big bags, we had a small child and young teenager with us and it was so cold in the early hours. Arigatou gozaimasu!! We'll highly recommend this hotel to our other family members and friends. We'll definitely stay here again when we come again!

Love their family room - very spacious. The room and bathroom are very clean and well layout. Location is great - walking distance to Dotonbori and easy access to many places by MRT due to close proximity to Namba Station on the Midosuji Subway Line. The hotel decor itself is a bit on the funky side at the lobby area. Extensive choices of complimentary cold and hot beverage available in the sitting area of the lobby equipped with tables and chairs. Excellent customer services - front desk personnel were very polite and helpful; fluent in English. They will answer any questions and advice that you might have or seek regarding the area. Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful hospitality during our stay!
