It’s been years since I’ve stayed at the Swissotel Nankai. I came here for business on a work trip to Osaka. It is located right on top of the Nankai Namba Station which serves the Koya Line & Sembokukosoku Line.
What I liked about the hotel is the location. As everybody else says, Location, Location, Location. I wish there was complimentary breakfast, but it’s okay because nearby Namba Station is a wide variety of places to eat, bakeries, coffee shops, too many to choose from. That makes it so convenient to grab groceries, dine out, or take away for your hotel room.
Lighting is good, bathroom counter was super small, but the space of the room itself which was fairly pacious. There was also a desk for work space and a small sofa to sit and relax. Front Desk staff was friendly, while my room was clean and tidy. Typically, hotel rooms in Asia have toiletries available in your hotel room without having to pack much. The fitness center I didn’t use on this trip, but will check out on future visits in the event the weather is not ideal to go out or if plans aren’t made. Television wasn’t a smart TV as I wish I could stream Netflix, Hulu, or Disney Plus.
All I can say is that Swissotel is a great hotel!

The hotel's location on top of Nankai Namba Railway Station is perfect: close to shops and restaurants (Takashimaya is in the same building), at walkable distance to Kuromon Market and Dotonbori, offering direct access to various railway and subway lines and last but not least allowing for a comfortable transfer from and to Kansai Airport.
We spent five nights at a quiet Swiss Select Room with two beds on the 27th floor. Room and bathroom had a good size and modern decor. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a nice view towards the Ebisu Tower of colourful Dotonbori.
Due to the abundance of coffeeshops and interesting restaurants we had no meals at the hotel. But we most enjoyed the rooftop bar on the 36th floor with an impeccable service. Luggage storage on our departure day was no problem.

And the hotel is skyscraper, you can see the wonderful cityscape from the cabin/restaurant. ・Every employee is polite and good appearance, it is well deserved with luxury hotel. But I looked like a flow process and they have no passion, I believe that was due to the busy times in Christmas season. ・We used the “Wa(和)” suite room in this time, this cabin has very good furnitures and comfortable mood, we had the relaxing time. Also, Served the carrot cake which garnished the National flag of Swiss, It is nice. ・In breakfast there are Japanese, Western and Chinese foods in buffet style, you can enjoy the diverse gourmet. We only had 24h or so to spend in Osaka (which is a pity due to Osaka being a cool city), so we needed a place to stay as close to public transport as possible and voila - Swissotel Nankai Osaka. Yes, a bit more expensive than competition nearby, but location and the fact they had full size swimming pool - this was it. We arrived early and were told that our room is unlikely to be received before the official check in time but less than a minute later, it became available. So, instead of walking like zombies (after overnight flight) we got to go to our room and take a nap for 3 hours.Room was nice, comfortable, had great view and had all ammedities needed for a stay. We did not have a chance to use any of the restaurants as the pedestrian food district is just 5min walk and breakfast cost 29 EUR which would have been extra 30% to the cost of the room for 2 people. Excellent choice if you want hassle free great stay (at premium rate) in the Namba region

Have been there for 5 days , breakfast with a view on 36th floor . Breakfast is better to pre book will save you 15% on costs , and is realy exellent . It is in buffet form , Chinese , Japanes , Continental , all fresh prepared .
Rooms are really big for Japanese standards , and clean. Service is good , and staff is very helpfull , big advantage is the shopping mall inside same building , and below is Namba station , so easy to travel anywhere .

Stayed here among friends in September 2023 and we stayed in the upper floors in executive king rooms. The hotel has many pros going for it: convenient location, good mattress, good breakfast buffet upstairs on 36th, good service downstairs, rather spacious rooms, great spa with fitness center, pool and hot tub, good executive lounge on 33rd floor. A shopping mall and and a train station on ground floors. There is really just one thing that really annoyed me with this hotel and that is their shower. It’s an old bathtub which is so high that they give you a pedestal to assist you getting into it. It’s really dangerous and an accident waiting to happen! I don’t really understand why they haven’t renovated this already. The hotel needs to remove all these tubs and install a standing rain shower with glass doors. Once that’s done this will truly be a five star hotel!

This is a high end plush hotel with comfortable accommodations. Each room provides daily fresh towels, toiletries, water, coffee and tea bags. There is a safe, small refrigerator, coffee pot, electric water carafe to heat water for tea or cup noodles, iron, makeup mirror, desk, table with 2 chairs for sitting and a place for your luggage. There are robes and room slippers to use. A note is on the room slippers that says you can keep them. Room is serviced daily and you can request to have your linen changed by placing a linen change card on the bed. I reserved 2 rooms next to each other with a request for the rooms to be connected however I don’t think the rooms are designed that way. All the suites were taken so I had to book 2 rooms. The room service was efficient and fast! We loved the burger with Swiss cheese so much we ordered it 4 times! Lots of shopping and eateries in walking distance. Close to everything! Very clean and professional staff. Lots of places to eat on property however you need to make reservations to all of them. The spa was great but most of the staff cannot speak English so if you have questions, they are answered by the pictures and description of the spa service you choose. The spa room was hot and uncomfortable for the 90 minute treatment I received. I kept telling the massage therapist to turn off the heat on the bed but I don’t think she understood. Their head massage was more of a deep hair conditioning rather than a scalp massage. This is a great place to stay if you want to use the public transportation. We used Uber a lot which was very convenient. We would stay here again if we come to visit! Perfect location!

My second time staying at Swissotel Nankai Osaka. I stayed here due to its location and service. The room is spacious, very comfortable and clean. The staffs are speaking good English. It is right next to Namba train station but the sound proof is so good that you will not hear anything in the room. Behind the hotel it is the walking shopping street and there are so many shops and restaurants. I enjoyed staying here as I found it the most convenient place to stay. Will definitely stay here again if I visit Osaka. As we have 10 pieces of luggage, the concierge was kind enough to pull our luggage to the namba train station where we caught the rapid train to go to the airport.
