Rooms are small but this is quite typical for business hotel rooms in Japan, so no complaints there. Staff were nice and friendly at all times. Location is brilliant not only for exploring Osaka but as a base for getting out into the Kansai region too as it is just a stone's throw from Namba Station, from which you can easily get to Nara and Kyoto. Its close to the Dotonbori area but far enough away from the real hustle and bustle that you can get some peace, 7-Eleven just down the street too which is always handy.

I loved our stay here. The service was wonderful and the rooms are perfectly sized for the stay (3 of us in the room. The rooms are clean and well stocked with items for stay. Breakfast is simple but enough to start off the day. It's at the perfect location as well. Really perfect. Will definitely come back!

The best thing about Hotel Art Inn Namba is its location. You would probably get very weary going around Dotonbori, then having to make your way through the crowd in the metro/trains would just further drain you. If you’re sensitive with noise, probably not the best place for you as soundproofing isn’t a strong suit in this hotel. Their breakfast offering is decent (breads, juice, coffee, hard boiled egg and potato salad) but 7-11 is literally thirty seconds walk if you wanted a cheap alternative.

its location is really close to everything. namba train and bus station are nearby and walking distance. a short walk from the famous dotonbori for shopping and food trip. the filipino staff are very helpful and accommodating. they clean the room and replenish the toiletries and towels daily. breakfast was basic. a bit pricey but japan in general is always pricey. :) will definitely go back next time.

I just finished staying 5 nights at Hotel Art Inn Namba in early February 2019. The greatest thing about the hotel is its location. You are within blocks of the all the things that made you want to stay in Namba--the countless food options, night life, the iconic Glico Man sign and Kani Doraku crab restaurant, Shinsaibashi, Amerikamura, etc. As many reviewers mention, the rooms ARE small, so large groups or large people should maybe think twice about staying. Frankly though, rooms are almost always small in Japan in my experience, so don't let that be a deterrent to staying in a hotel with a great location and very kind staff. The hotel will gladly let you store your bags before check-in or after you check-out. While the breakfast is more like a snack, the staff is very enthusiastic to get you coffee and potato salad to start your day, and what could be better than that? All in all, I would stay here in a heartbeat on my next trip to Osaka!

We stayed for one night, it was very expensive for what it was (we stayed in other hotels around Osaka that where cheaper and far better). The room was tiny, even for a Japanese hotel and there where very few ammenties provided. The toilet and shower were also cramped and difficult to use. The breakfast provided was pretty good and included coffee. The staff where fairly helpful.. Overall this hotel was pretty expensive for what it was and there are plenty of other, far better equipped and more spacious hotels around Osaka for the same price.

The hotel was in a great location from Namba Station and also to visit Dotonbori. The staff were friendly and always happy to answer questions and help. Complimentary drinks in the afternoon was lovely. The room was clean and tidy although we had booked the Deluxe Double which was still very small and the bathroom was quite cramped. We didn't have a problem with this, but just to make other travellers aware. The breakfast was disappointing - hard boiled eggs, croissants and spreads, plus a small scoop of potato salad - although we weren't quite sure what this was at first as they bought it out with our coffee and initially thought it was a scoop of cream!!

Stayed for 4 nights. Really enjoyed the hospitality here. Staff had good command of English and were very helpful. Liked the free snacks, juices and even beer(on some days) from 4 -11 pm .Had stayed at another more prominent hotel in Namba in June this year. Paid more then & when I compare the 2 hotels, Art Inn wins hands down. This is also nearer to JR Namba station. Loved the potato salad served during breakfast. The following are directions for those coming from JR Namba station without having to climb or go down stairs. Take escalator going to ground level of north exit , on the left, after coming out of JR Namba station. Turn right once at ground level & keep walking till first lane (You will pass Hotel Kanede). Cross the lane & continue straight till crossing on main road (yodabashi road). Cross it & continue to cross another 2 more roads till u reach Family mart on the right hand side. Continue straight until u pass exit 7 of Namba Walk (on your left). Make a left turn & cross the main road using the traffic lights. Once you’ve crossed the road, continue straight & you’ll pass Lawson store on the right. Walk into the lane & in about 50 m you’ll see a 7-11. Make a left turn into the lane that has a sign of Steak house & hotel is within 10 m.

Room Tip: Ask for a triple room if you prefer a bit more space for 2 person. I chose a double room even...

The room is a bit small as with most hotel in Japan.Amenities include a good dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Disposable shaver, toothbrush, paste, cooten buds, comb and bath scrub towel. Simple western breakfast included with moring drinks. In the evening, free snacks and beer provided. A few minutes to Namba train station. Shortfall is the room does not have enough cloth hanging place.

Firstly, the hotel is just a few minutes from walk from Namba station if you have come in from Kansai airport so not so much of a long walk with your suitcase. Make sure you leave the station via North exit. The hotel is in an excellent location, it is right next to a convenience store, few minutes away from Osaka-Namba subway station which contains the Sennichimae, Yotsubashi and Misuoji subway and Hanshin train tracks which can connect you to the whole city and you can take the Hanshin line to Kobe (Make sure to take a Rapid train though if you are doing this). It is also right next to Dotonbori which is a major tourist attraction and contains many eateries and bars. My room was on the third floor and I didn't have any trouble with noise despite being in such a busy location. The hotel reception staff all spoke English which made everything a little easier. The cleaners I am not sure could speak English, but were polite. Hotel room was simple and did the job for the price which for me was just getting a shower in the early evening before I went out and then sleeping. There was a free water cooler in the hallway which is great if staying in hotter months. If you are leaving Osaka for another part of Japan, the hotel is not near the Shin-Osaka station if you are going by Bullet train, even though you can just take the Midosuji subway line from the nearby subway station, you might be stuck on the train for a while and I hate being on them crowded trains with a annoying suitcase so I just opted for a taxi which unfortunatly I cannot remember the exact cost. I had a single room which contained no wardrobe so I basically had to live out of my suitcase which was a bit irritating. The bed could of been comfier I would recommend bringing your own pillow.
